♦TimothyKane ♦ Main Name: Timothy Kane Nick Names: N/A Alias: N/A Alliance: Human Race: Human, deceased/possessed ❧Physical Characteristics Age: 8 Hair: Blonde Eyes: Brown Skin Tone: Pale Ethnicity: Caucasian Scars, Birthmarks, Tattoos: None Height: 4'6" Weight: 95 lbs Marital Status: Single Physical Structure: He's a bit scrawny. Orientation: Straight❧Personal Info ❖Transcripts: Alignment: Neutral/Good Criminal Record: One count of second degree murder. Level of Education: Elementary School If Collegial: Current Occupation: Student Past Occupations: N/A Family: Lucas Kane- Deceased Carla Valenti-Kane- Deceased Lovers, Friends, and Others: His 'imaginary friends,' who are actually otherworldly forces trying to influence him-
The Oracle- a cloaked man with sharpened fingernails, who manifests himself from time to time in an attempt to get Timothy to kill people. Other ordinary people do not see him, or forget about him the second they do. In truth this man is an ancient Mayan Prophet, who possesses other people and forces them to kill others and then themselves in a sacrificial manner, in order to perform a ritual that allows him to see into the future. Timothy is the second person alive who has resisted the suicidal urges fed to him by the man, and because of that- and learning from his past- the Oracle has decided to convince Timothy that he is 'a friend,' and that they should 'play some more games soon,' these games being murder. While Timothy is near the Oracle, his telekinetic powers increase exponentially, although it is unknown why.
Al, the Glowy-Man- a seemingly holographic 'man' built of what appear to be shreds of light, that occasionally appears to Timothy and tells him what people are thinking. Some might suggest that he is a hallucinatory manifestation of Timothy's already-latent telepathic abilities, when in truth he is a rival to the Oracle and merely appears in order to help 'unlock' more of Timothy's potential.
The Light, The Chroma- a silent, intangible ball of light that appears to Timothy just before he has visions. Sometimes these visions are of the (possible) future, or of the present but through the eyes of someone else; however, the Light never talks, is completely unresponsive to any stimuli attempted by Timothy (as he's the only one who sees it), and always has only one vision to show him per arrival.
Jade- a silent, ghostly girl who sometimes appears to him in dreams. She was who he is now- that's the only thing he knows about her, and he doesn't even know what that means.❖Personal: Personality: Quiet and shy, but incredibly curious and relatively quick to warm up to. Even after 'getting to know you,' however, the child still remains enigmatic, mysterious; he is one of a kind, surely, and fully understanding him may not be possible. He takes most things in stride, seems to have an unending supply of emotional endurance, and rarely falters in making a choice, however he did learn from his mother and father- before they died- how important it is to help people, especially the ones you care about.
People Skills: He's a bit of a loner, and is inexperienced in such things; as a result, he doesn't have very good people skills, per say. What he DOES have, however, is a child-like innocence which can drive most people to feel protective of him... Or an evil few to wish him particular harm. Goals: Timothy's only real goal is to stay alive and keep his mind under control. He knows what he's capable of (or at least, what little pieces he's found out so far), and as a result knows that if he went crazy, he might hurt someone, which cannot be allowed. Fears: Going crazy and hurting someone. Favorites: He loves cars, and cartoons. Apple juice, and bubble-gum flavored toothpaste. Role Model: His dad. Catch Phrase/Motto: "Things are never quite what they seem. We think we understand the world around us, but we really only see the outside. What it seems to be."❧Skills,Abilities, and Powers Skills: He doesn't really have any skills, per say. Abilities: He has a surprising maturity level for someone his age; sometimes he can seem like a little grown-up. He also has incredible emotional endurance, as he has witnessed the death of both his mother and father yet remains mostly okay. Powers: Telekinesis- Timothy is able to manipulate the physical world with his mind. The full extent of his powers are unknown, as he is still growing, but at age six he is easily capable of lifting two tons. This power grows exponentially when confronted by the Oracle.
Telepathy- Timothy can occasionally read the minds of those around him. He is incapable of communicating this way, however; he can only listen in quietly on thoughts. This can be useful, at times, but is not always active... And he has trouble controlling it.
The Sight, but not in a normal sense- when visited by the Light, Timothy can glimpse visions of any number of possible futures, witness the past in the form of an 'out-of-body experience' type ethereal 'spirit,' or see current events through the eyes of another person somewhere far away. The visions come one at a time, and he has no control over when or where they happen.
Superhuman Physicality- in times of great need, Timothy has been known to somehow perform feats of (relative to a human child) impossible strength, speed, and agility. He is incapable of doing these things in a calm, relaxed state, however, and it can sometimes fail him as he is untrained and quite young.
Weaknesses: He's quite young, and as such untrained and not used to his powers (despite being born with them). He's also quite a bit weaker, physically speaking, than most (considering he's a child).
He's human. While it is true that he is already dead, and thus, cannot die again, his body can be physically damaged to the point where he can no longer participate in events, physically. And he is incapable of healing himself, requiring someone else to do it for him.
He's prone to temporary fits of hallucination, during which he can become inexplicably violent or desperately try to escape the imagined foe; during these times, his seemingly superhuman capabilities are almost always activated.
Technology/Weapons/Paraphernalia: None.History Timothy Kane was conceived aboard a subway train the night before the start of the apocalypse. His father was a reluctant hero, a man possessed by the Chroma who would battle the Orange and Purple Clans- through their minions, the Oracle and the AI- in order to save the Indigo Child, an autistic girl named Jade who supposedly knew the secrets of the universe.
In the process of the battle, Timothy's mother- who was technically now pregnant with him- entered the battlefield to aid his father. In the process, the unborn Timothy was irradiated with the strange energy emanating from the Chroma Artifact, which was to be used to get the Indigo Child to speak the secrets. His mother entered the arena to find his father possessed by the AI, and carrying Jade to the Artifact while the AI did battle with the Oracle. The AI and tossed his mother against the wall; this awakened his father from his trance, enraging him.
His father successfully defeated both the Oracle and the AI, and in turn learned the secret. While the girl- who was rapidly deteriorating in health- died, the world was saved, and life went on happily. Until, that is, Timothy was born. Then both the Orange Clan and Purple Clan suddenly allied, using their respective powers- The Orange Clan over the world's government, the Purple Clan over the Internet and World Wide Web- to more or less bring the world to it's knees. Timothy's father had a vision that Timothy himself was the next Indigo Child, destined to save humanity... At the same time, Timothy himself had his own first vision, in which it was revealed to him that, while he was destined to save mankind, it was not necessarily this mankind he was meant to save. While this was a mystery to him at first, he went along with his father's plans and began training to destroy the Clans.
They attacked before anyone could be ready. The Oracle and the AI united against his father and mother, killing his mother immediately and then turning on the father- while his father was already dead, and thus could not be killed again, they immobilized him by impaling him on a wall with hundreds of iron spikes. Then they turned on Timothy. They killed the boy with nearly as much ease as they had killed his mother, but after they left, satisfied with their destruction, Timothy's father resurrected the boy- as he too had previously been resurrected years ago- and sent the boy to another world, hopefully a safer world, where he could grow up and become ready for the terrible trials that would come when he returned home.

Trace... this profile really isn't working out.
A. Why are all of these otherworldly forces after an eight year old kid? Wouldn't he be driven mad from having four spirits or whatever they are attempting to influence or possess him all at once, or even at separate times? First, the Oracle- why would he need Timothy to kill himself so he can see into the future? How many people does he need for this? And it would be nice to know why Timothy's telekinetic powers increase near him. Second, Al the Glowy Man- he's a rival to the Oracle...and he appears to help Timothy unlock more of his potential... why? Third, the Light/Chroma- what would be the purpose of seeing the future through someone else's eyes? Fourth, Jade- A ghostly girl that appears to him in dreams... what purpose does she serve?
B. All right, the telekinesis thing... he could lift two tons at six years of age, and is able to manipulate the physical world with his mind? No. Just... no. One, manipulating the world would be considered godmodding. Two... two tons at six years of age, and the full extent of his telekinesis is unknown? Sorry, but I'm calling godmodding on this one.
C. Timothy's telepathy... occasionally or not, reading the minds of others regardless of mental blocks would still be godmodding, and how would he have been able to get past most- or almost all, from what I've read- mental blocks at age years old? I'm finding it hard to believe he has difficulty controlling his telepathy if he's capable of doing that.
D. How is The Sight different from the Sight already established in this guild? And again, what purpose would it serve for him to see the future through the eyes of another person?
E. Feats of impossible strength, speed, and agility... I've got strong doubts about this.
F. History time: What happened before the apocalypse... and what exactly triggered it? How did the Indigo Clan and the Orange Clan... and the Chroma... just suddenly show up? Where the heck did they even come from? And what secrets of the universe did Jade have? She's the same Jade who's a ghost, right? Timothy's mother entering the battlefield while she was pregnant... wouldn't that have put Timothy's life at risk, regardless of the fact that he wasn't born yet? And what was this AI that had possessed his father? Plus... it's confusing to say his father was possessed by the Chroma, and then saying he was possessed by the AI. Are they different beings, or one in the same; and what's preventing the two from battling within the both of Timothy's father if it's the latter? Plus, the history doesn't say one bit about this "secret of the universe" that the two clans and the Oracle were seeking- and all of a sudden, the two clans are allied to oppress the world? How... why... what the heck happened? And now Timothy being destined to save another mankind instead of this one...explanation? And now the AI fighting against the man it-he-whatever had possessed before? And how was he able to resurrect Timothy and send him to this universe while he's rendered immobile? How is the latter even possible, unless he was from BRG?
I'm sorry, but this History's got me asking question after question after question... and I'm utterly confused.
G. An eight year old boy among Paranormals that are more than twice his age (with the exception of Malia, who's been shrunk to the size of a child for the time being)... I'm not seeing how this would be useful to the storyline.
H. Back to the kid being able to telekinetically lift two tons at six years old... how was he able to do that at such an early age? Isn't there already a telekinetic in this guild capable of doing such a feat at 50 times the kid's current limit... and who happens to be 500 years old... and completely experienced in using his powers?
I'm sorry, but there's not much here I can agree with, Trace. Maybe Oncaro or Praxius can clear things up for me or find something I missed... but right now, I'm completely puzzled.

While most of your concerns are well-founded, they are also mostly easily enough explained.
A. These forces are all after him because of the last one, the spirit of the Indigo Child, Jade. Because of her presence, Timothy is supposed to (eventually) become the next Indigo Child, and if taken to the Chroma Artifact (currently in another world), be forced to reveal the great secret... Which he doesn't consciously know. However, considering Timothy is currently in another world, and as such cannot be reached by either the Oracle or the AI, forcing them to revert to different tactics in order to reach the boy. Rather than directly confront him, they come to him in 'visions' and attempt to gain his trust- through the boosting of his powers.
The Oracle originally needed Timothy to kill himself to complete the ritual, to see into the future. But after discovering who Timothy truly was, he decided it would be best (obviously) to leave the boy alive. For now. As for how many people he needs- for every person he gets to kill another and then themselves, he is granted a very small window of time to view the future. So obviously, he's going to need a lot of people.
The AI is indeed a rival to the Oracle, and he helps Timothy unlock more of his potential as a way to gain the boy's trust, so that Timothy will listen to him rather than the Oracle when the time comes for Timothy's ability to go home develops; with Timothy in hand, the AI will have the power to eradicate humankind. The Oracle wants to enslave mankind, not to destroy it, which is where the rivalry comes in.
As far as the Light/Chroma goes, and the seeing the future through someone else's eyes... He doesn't. He sees the future through his own eyes- if he looks through someone else's eyes, it's the present, not the future. For example, someone trying to ambush him or the group he's a part of, someone somewhere distant about to do something important- like kill someone he cares about, for example.
B. Hoo, boy. The telekinesis thing. You do realize that 'manipulate the physical world with his mind' is actually thedefinition of telekinesis... Right? As for the two ton thing... That's a car. A decent-sized car, like a minivan, but a car. And that's about it. I wasn't actually planning to have this particular power go much further than that, and the fact in and of itself that he's untrained and a child makes it that much weaker... Not to mention, in comparison to some of the other characters in this guild, Timothy is, relatively speaking, one of the weakest... Godmodding? I think not.
C. The telepathy. Okay, I can see how this might be considered godmodding a bit. I was basing it off the fact that he's been possessed by this otherworldly force, the Chroma... Not to mention that I wasn't going to use it but for situations where it was relatively harmless, such as allowing him sneak-peeks at people's opinions of one another's, or telling if someone was lying or not. And even then, only very rarely. But I do see how the whole 'regardless of mental blocks' thing is a wee bit overboard. I'll edit that.
D. Timothy's Sight, as stated, isn't of his own origin. It comes from the Chroma, and the interference between the Oracle and the AI, and as such manifests itself differently. He literally sees the Oracle and the AI, and the Chroma itself just before visions; and even then, the visions aren't strictly of the future. He might see past events, might watch some distant scene play out as he floats around as an ethereal 'spirit' type thing, or might witness current events literally through the eyes of another. And again, it's not the future he sees through the eyes of another- it's current times, what's happening right now.
E. "Feats of impossible strength, speed, and agility," is, like I said, under levels of extreme, life or death type stress. And even then, it's prone to failure. He doesn't suddenly turn into Superman or anything- he's still human, even during these moments of power. But he can do things like jump 20-ish feet into the air, or literally throw a full-grown man off of him and to the ground. Nothing incredibly spectacular, but things that should be impossible for a 6 year old boy. "Impossible" is relative not just to humankind in general, but to his age as well; throwing a full-grown man off of himself and to the ground might be easy for a highly trained, equally full-grown man. But for a 6 year old child? Impossible. Do you see now?
F. Okay, here we go. Your questions answered, in order. What happened before the apocalypse? Basically the exact same timeline as Real Life, right up until... Let's call it 2009-ish. Then the world began dropping into a new Ice Age, which was ended after the battle between the Clans and Timothy's father.
The Clans are actually remnants of ancient Mayan civilization, who took very different paths in controlling the world. The Oracle and his clan took control of the government, basically enacting a very Big-Brother-like conspiracy, only worldwide. The AI and his clan, however, are quite different; they waited until the development of the internet, and took that over instead. In the process, they developed AIs of the sort of nature we see this AI; a sentient being, hell-bent on the eradication of humanity. So as for where they came from... I guess it's almost safe to say that they'd always been there.
As for Jade and her 'secrets of the universe,' well. Obviously I can't go spilling that- if you know the secrets, you become the equivalent of a God! Or so the story goes, anyway. And yes, she's the same Jade that appears to Timothy in his dreams... Because she used to be who he is now.
As for Timothy's mother entering the battlefield while she was pregnant with him... Yes, it would have. Except she didn't know she was pregnant then- it was only the day after he was conceived. So yeah, it risked both his and her life- but she only thought she was risking her own life, and had no way to tell.
Okay, this part gets just a bit confusing. Prior to the whole epic battle scene thing, Timothy's father had been on quite a round of adventures that'd started with him becoming the Oracle's tool to kill a random civilian and give him visions to the future. However, due to his father's possession by the Chroma (which nobody knew about, even him), a psychic link was established between the two, allowing him to see through the Oracle's eyes. This link was used against him later on, however, as the Oracle laid a trap for him by showing him his ex girlfriend of two years (before he'd met Carla) tied up on top of an abandoned roller coaster. He went to save her, falling into the trap perfectly, and was killed. Then the AI resurrected him, only for the purpose of using him to get at the Indigo Child, who he'd have to find by looking through the eyes of the Oracle again. He was then tricked into giving them the Indigo Child, and it was revealed that they had, while resurrecting him, implanted a sort of programming into his brain to control him. THAT is what the AI was doing during the battle. The Chroma was truly possessing him, while the AI was enabling the programming it'd done while bringing him back to life. It was the Chroma's possession- and his own willpower, after seeing what'd been done to Carla- that allowed him to break the control and defeat the two.
As for the 'secret of the universe,' honestly? It's basically a MacGuffin. At least, it is in *this* particular continuation of Timothy's story... It will play no significance whatsoever to this world, nor does he even consciously know it. It merely exists so that these otherworldly forces have a reason to continually interact with him. To be completely honest, I don't even know what the freakin' 'secret' is. There is no secret. It's just a thing I made up because they need a reason to come after this boy.
As for the two clans allying... Literally the sole purpose of that alliance was to rid the world of Timothy's father. The moment that was done, they were back to being bitter enemies, with two entirely different goals, neither of them good; the Oracle to enslave mankind, the AI to erase it completely. The only thing that stood in their way was Timothy's father, who they had to team up to destroy.
As far as Timothy's being destined to save 'another' mankind... This doesn't necessarily even mean he ISN'T destined to save the mankind he knew originally. It just means that he is, somewhere somehow, going to save some variant of mankind.
And then the point of his father resurrecting him and sending to this universe, while he was immobile. Whoever said that resurrecting and opening portals to the universe required movement? He could think, couldn't he? And he still had all that power, despite his being unable to move. There's no feasible reason for him to be restricted from bringing his son back to life and sending him to another dimension.
Hopefully that kinda/sorta cleared up the history.
G. Again we see the issue of usefulness to the storyline. Honestly? Half the characters in the guild are of literally no use whatsoever to the storyline. I don't think this is a very fair point. Hell, Timothy could serve more use than the useless half simply through character development- unlike Malia, who's a b***h, Timothy is a sweet kid (and an ACTUAL kid). I'm sure that there's at least one character who would benefit in some way, character development-wise, from interacting with Timothy.
H. We've been over this already. See letter B.
Any more questions, anything you're still not satisfied with? Because I can fix it/ explain it.

Yep, it cleared the history for me... though I have the strange urge to watch the Terminator movies...
Anyways, thanks for the massive clarification, and again, I would advise editing the telepathy a bit. However, you may need to speak with the Captain about him being from an alternate universe.
