Jane had decided to take a book and her snake Ligeia outside since it was so stuffy in the Hogwart's castle. She really didn't know why it was so hot, the outside was perfect in temperature, probably in the high 60s with a slight breeze. Perhaps it was just that way because too many people had been crowded in there for so long. The staff really ought to air out the castle once in awhile.
It took her awhile to find a secluded spot on the grounds where she could read in peace. A group of rather loud gryffindors ran past her causing her to grit her teeth and shoot them an ugly glare. At least one of the boys had noticed and had colored slightly when he had noticed the bright orange snake wrapped around her neck.
She had smirked at that and settled down with her back to the stone of the castle and pulled her book out. She had only been reading for twenty minutes or so when she was once again disturbed by what sounded like a group of girls bullying and teasing someone. She had had enough of all these annoying disruptions..all she wanted to do was read her collection of Edgar Allen Poe's short stories. Why must everyone interrupt her?
Jane got to her feet and shoved her book in her bag and turned to go find another place to read when she heard one of the bullies call their victim a murderer. That stopped Jane in her tracks. She whipped around and made her way over to the three girls who were crowded around a much shorter fourth girl. Jane was surprised to see that other girl was actually shorter than she was, she hadn't thought that could be possible until now.
"That's quite enough, back off." Jane told the taller girls in an imperious tone. "bullying is not tolerated at Hogwarts and you know it. Keep it up and I'll report you myself."
Jane wasn't too surprised to see that the three girls were gryffindors..they were notorious for being cruel. Especially to..wait was this girl a slytherin or in a different house? Jane had never seen her in the slytherin common room before, unless she was brand new and had just arrived. Upon closer look Jane noted the blue and copper tie that had gotten lost in the green and silver clothes the other was wearing.

She... was like a forgotten memory. Within the time, she was pulled out of school almost ending her first year, to japan. Where she spent the remaining years taking care of her sick grandmother. They said- magic wasn't allowed out of school grounds which followed religiously. Having only her knowledge on medicines and potions but still.. There was no use. The time had come and her grandmother was getting worse.. and worse til finally she died.
After the death, the house was taken by Fuzen's parents.. . Fuzen became.. even more bitter and even more reserved than before. The year at hogwarts had softened her almost- but now it was back to square one as her mother went crazy and threw things at her til she was ran out of her grandmother's house.. Her mother must have been plagued by the death enough to take it out on her daughter. Which she tackled down and beat her in to the ground until her husband ripped her off.
"YOU KILLED HER!!!"
Was the last memory she had while flying aboard a plane back to hogwarts. A teacher there, the friend of her grandmother- kept tabs on her up until this point and if it hadn't been for the teacher... Fuzen would have surely went back to those whom gifted her the 'tattoo'. "It's not your fault." The teacher said softly...
There after, rumors had started when she came back and had to start ALL over again.. But not only that... her reputation was exploited when she was brought in for questioning by the scottish police over her grandmother's death and the teacher also helped to represent as her 'legal guardian'. When she came back she became a target.. but she was so shocked- and traumatized that it was as if she were empty... Her grandmother was gone.. The only family who loved her... And she.. killed her?
When the girls surrounded her, she had been so spaced that she didn't even much feel when they pushed her down.. But they had the opposite effect on which the girls intended, The beatings were a release.. she didn't hit back nor attempted to.. When she heard someone other than the original girls.. A silence washed over her before she coughed up blood. Her eyes were blank of emotions.. neither hate towards them, just tears. Wishing they would have killed her too. Maybe then she would get rid of this nightmare...
She had struggled to breath for a moment.. 'I didn't- I did.. I couldn't- No I loved her!' All things she screamed in her head.. "Don't stop.." She finally said. "Keep going." Hurt her more.. Beat her more.. All things she was struggling with in her own mind, maybe she deserved this.. for all she had done.. She beckoned them, though hardly able to speak with her accent and wounds.

Jane stiffened at the smaller girl's words. What was she barking mad? Or just mad with grief? What the hell was wrong with her.
"See? She wants us to." one of the gryffindor girls retorted with a smirk.
Jane saw red. "I don't give a damn what she wants. *Ssah assah ssseara* she muttered to her snake, she couldn't really speak parseltongue but the gryffindor girls didn't know that. Ligeia coiled up tightly and struck out lightening fast at the girl closest to her.
The girl shrieked in terror and fell over the the girl next to her. "Oh my god! She's one of those snake tongue people!"
Jane grinned maniacally at the girls and then murmured some more made up parseltongue words. "Sssartharr Assthara Sserassaaah"
The three girls screamed and raced off, leaving Jane to roll her eyes at them. "What idiots. Do they honestly think that anyone can talk parseltongue? One has to born of Salazar's line. Honestly." She muttered to herself and then turned back to the girl who was laying on the ground with blood coming out of her mouth.
"Now what am I going to do about you?" She asked gently as she knelt next to the girl.
She was rather surprised when Ligeia slid down her neck and slithered onto the girl's chest and coiled up to look at her. She had never done that before. Jane reached into her book bag and took out her linen handkerchief and wiped away the blood from the girl's mouth gently.
"You need to snap out of whatever depression you're in. If you don't they'll just keep picking on you." She told the girl none to gently. "You need to be stronger than this."

Likely the girls that had been- had found and targeted her from what rumors there had been. Fuzen was blank, even the snake- whom she felt coil on her chest, finally she was pulled in to the reality that was her 'living'. She wanted to give up, that was what she YEARNED for.. When the handkerchief was placed on her mouth, she slowly looked up to whom was wielding kindness. It was a .. rather intense looking slytherin. Slytherin... she closed her eyes..
Using the strength of all of her to slowly get up, and the feeling of the snake moving according to her body. Rubbing her hand across her face.. Their were bruises, and black marks already against ivory skin and she simply looked at the girl again. Sitting up. "I'm fine..They can continue and I will...welcome it." Surprised at the kind gesture and looked away from the girl.. Giving the snake the only good energy she can give, the caring on that only animals could sense now under Fuzen's hard shell of a deposition.

Jane was quite taken aback by the other girl's attitude and careless manner. What had happened to cause someone to just give up like this? She couldn't help but shake her head in annoyance at the girl.
"I don't think so." She retorted her green eyes narrowing in an alarming manner. She reached down and grabbed the girl's arm and hoisted her to her feet. "You are coming with me. We are going somewhere private where I can knock some sense into you. Besides, do you want to get them in trouble? If the teachers found out that you were letting them beat you up they're likely to make you see a psychiatrist or someone worse."
Jane stopped a moment to grab Ligeia and wrap her around the other girl's neck. If it would keep the gryffindors away from her, she might as well allow the Ligeia to hang around her neck for awhile. It was surprising that her finicky snake actually liked this girl. There must be something redeeming about the girl, despite her sadistic taste.
"Don't make me drag you, though if I have to I will." She told the other girl, who was practically limp in her arms.
