History: Her mother is a healer and her father is a Harper. They thought Eliza would turn to one of their professions, but soon realized that she wanted to work with animals. Being their only daughter, Eliza was allowed to follow her dreams. Any chance to be away from her rowdy brothers, all younger, was the best.
One day, while watching the animals, Eliza saw a dragon fly overhead, going after a meal from the scream that came after. She was about 10 at the time and from then on she had her sights set on the sky. Her brothers teased her, saying she was too bossy to be a rider, but her parents the encouraged her.
Three years went by, with her sights still strong on being a rider and her education on Beastcraft healing still taking her through the Turns just in case. This rider was a Search Rider, happening to be on the lookout for any candidate in the Atlini Hold. The rider remember the Eliza, though she didn't remember him, and his dragon saw some potential. Eliza seen the dragon fly over, thinking nothing of it as there was strict procedure being taught, but her heart called out to be flying with them. Returning home on that eve, Eliza found that the dragon's rider was waiting to see if she wanted to be a Candidate. With barely contained excitement, Eliza hugged her parents, grabbed her prepacked bag and was out the door with the Rider.
Now two Turns have gone by and twice as many hatchings, but she still has hope. With the Weyrwoman out of sorts since the attack on her, Eliza is uncertain if she should still be around, though it seems her Gold has a good hold on things and the Jr. Weyrwomen seem to know what to do. Now with the extra people from the other Weyrs, things seem crowed. She understands that Whers are good to have around, but with the Revolt Eliza isn't sure she trusts them as she used to.
Description: Hazel eyes set in a narrow face, Eliza could be pretty if she would wash up more ofter after working with the healers. Her hair is a light brown and cut just below her shoulders, easier to keep out of her face with it tied back. She is of average height, with a slender build that is filled with muscles.
Personality: Eliza can be a bit bossy when it comes to doing procedures. Things have to be done a certain way and with the extra turns as a Candidate, she knows what needs to be done. If they aren't done the exact way, she gets a glint in her eye and tells the person to do it right this time. Or so she thinks. She has few friends because of this. She rises early to get stuff started that she knows will take a long time. She approves of those who are also striving for perfection, not that they could reach it before her.
If asked for help, she will willing help, as long as they ask. Don't expect her to just jump in or ask if someone needs help. She is the typical 'All work and no play make a dull person.'
Eliza is quick to point the finger at someone else if anything goes wrong. Doesn't matter if she was the only one there, someone else was out to get her and messed it up. In her down time, she will go and continue learning Beastcraft, but only as a back up, she will be a rider, in her mind.

Hi! You've got a good start here but there's some things to address before I can approve her. - The description of how she was searched doesn't quite work I'm afraid; people can't just summon a rider to come and take their child. Searchdragons go to holds intermittently, usually when there is an upcoming clutch, and the dragon decides whether or not you're suitable to take having assessed your empathy/checked you're healthy and so on. - In order to match her to a dragon we'll need a good deal more detail in her personality. Try having a look at the second post in this thread here for some ideas of personality traits she might have. Our character creation tips are here for further ideas and so on. Hope this helps!

Hey! Thanks for making revisions, but we still need more from her so that we can match her.
History
- How big was the Hold where she grew up?
- How many brothers does she have? How did she get on with them, and with other children while she was growing up?
- Why did the rider remember Eliza - when he just flew over once three years ago - yet she did not remember his dragon even though she watched it fly over and really really wanted to be a rider? Him remembering her seems really very unlikely; searchriders see hundreds and hundreds of people in passing.
- Could you clear up what happened on her Search day in general? I'm afraid I'm having a bit of trouble following the course of events.
- How did she settle in at the Weyr? The culture is very very different to holds, for example holds in general would not accept her sexuality whereas the Weyr would. Did she only realise her sexuality once she was at the Weyr, or was the change one that came as a big relief for her? Also, did she make friends there easily?
- How did the revolution affect her beyond shaking her trust in wherhandlers?
Appearance
- A minor point, she won't be able to work on her craft as a Candidate; her time will be taken up with chores and lessons. If you want to be a rider you have to put your craft on hold during candidacy. She could work with beastcrafters on rest days if she wanted to, but her progress in the craft will be very slow compared to dedicated apprentices.
Personality
- How does Eliza take it when she is in the wrong and is corrected? Is it different if a peer corrects her rather than an authority figure?
- What things does she strive for perfection in? Everything? How does she deal with it when she isn't perfect, or when she fails?
- How does she take it when other people do better than she does? Does it depend on what the thing is?
- Why is it that she dreams so much of being a rider? Has the return of Thread to the world changed how she feels about it?
- She seems like the sort that wants to be a leader; is this the case? If so how does she take it if in a peer group somebody else is taking the lead? How does she deal with authority come to that? Does she dream of leading in the future; as a rider? If so does this affect what she thinks of the different dragon colours? Still assuming she does want to hold a position of power would she liked to be a wingleader, or would she prefer to be a candidatemaster or weyrlingmaster?
- What did she think of the revolution, and what does she think of colour equality amongst dragons? Does she believe all are equal, or that bigger dragons are better? Closer to the perfection she seeks?
- Does she regret the fact that she has few friends? If she tends to approve of those who are seeking perfection do they tend to be her friends? If so does she enjoy competing with them, or try to avoid it?
- Is she loyal? Trusting?
- Why is it that she is such a perfectionist? What drives her to keep trying to improve herself? Is it a desire to 'beat' other people or more internally motivated?
- Other than her idea of perfection, or the pursuit of it, what does she value in life, and in other people?
- What are her fears, and how does she deal with them?
- How does she deal with anger? Stress?
- What does she enjoy doing? Everyone enjoys something! Does she like reading, listening to Harpers? You mention in her history she knew she liked working with animals; does this still factor in her life? Does she try to get chores related to them? Is she different around animals than around humans? If so, why?
