I was 6 days late because of anxiety. How much are your periods affected by anxiety or stress?

My period is effected greatly by anxiety and stress.
This last cycle was literally a month off, I was really getting scared.
I guess we both need to start relaxing more!

I'm on the pill so it doesn't affect me anymore.
But I used to just skip months sometimes, especially when I was stressed.

Mine was once two weeks late when my mother had her hysterectomy, and about a month after boyfriend and I had a condom break.
It finally started about 15 minutes after I got a call from the Doctor's office saying my pregnancy blood test came back negative. I got a bloodtest because although I pissed negative on the storebought tests, I noticed it was only 97% accurrate and I was having preggo symptoms, which exacerbated everything because I was terrified that I was pregnant and that my life was over.
When you're unemployed with no insurance and living with your mom and terrified that you're pregnant, that 3% error seems more like 50%.

I've missed a period on several occasions due to stress, like during exams and the month that I had eye surgery I never got one either.

My significant other says my periods are "normally late"... what does that even mean?
I don't usually worry about my period as long as it starts during the week I'm on the last set of pills. (:

Xiporah When you're unemployed with no insurance and living with your mom and terrified that you're pregnant, that 3% error seems more like 50%. Also when you're a college student in a dysfunctional relationship. Even though I'm on the pill, mine literally came an entire month late earlier in the semester when I was on the edge emotionally, which I can't say made my stress any better.
