For those of you gaming Morrowind on Xbox, here are some exploits friends and I often enjoy using.

First is Alc-Abuse, for those of you who payed attention in Math and know what exponential growth is, this bug uses it.

Because Alchemy is governed by Intelligence, you can use alchemy to boost your Intelligence. Make one boost intelligence potion, drink it, then make another. As you will soon notice, your skill will increase exponentially, and you may soon find your intelligence in the thousands. With this being said, you can also make other powerful potion, like levitation, which will allow you to travel across Vvardefel at jet speeds.

The cons to this bug is that the effects are not permanent, and when your skills drop, they can plummet down to 0 sometimes rendering unprepared characters unable to move.

The second we use is my personal favourite, the soul-trap bug. This affect is more permanent than Alc-abuse, however is far more tedious.

With this bug, you use soul-tap to permanently attach restoration Skill and Attribute fortifications unto your character. To do this you must create a spell of fortify (skill/attribute) (1-100) and soul-trap target 0 ft for 1 second, after the spell is made, look downwards and cast. Whatever fortification you cast will be permanently bound to your character.

The cons to this bug, only works on skills/attributes. Fortify skill spells are difficult to find, especially in Vanilla Morrowind. Also, for starters, upgrading attributes is far more tedious than Alc-abuse.

I was always rather fond of the other soul-trap glitch to permanently summon a creature until it dies. Having a Golden Saint or Daedroth always following me felt pretty cool.

*Custom spell Soul Trap 1 sec on touch and summon creature for 1 second, point down at the ground and cast the spell. I think that's how it goes. Haven't played Morrowind in years.

Yeah, the spell system exploits are great for console players.

I've personally never played Morrowind on console. I only have the GOTY on pc. I like to occasionally use the console to create ultimate characters with 10000 in every skill and stat and just go nuts on the game, especially with custom spells and infinite gold. But I'll admit, it isn't as much fun to kill everyone in Balmora using super spells as it was to kill everyone in Oblivion (on ps3, no console) using legit spells and weapons, especially considering Oblivion had more NPCs to kill, although some were unfortunately invulnerable...

Yeah console games don't have the same freedoms, but I prefer console because some limitation often force you to test the waters more. But no modding makes Tiberius a very dull boy. :/

Honestly the console is practically mandatory. There's a ton of glitches on the Oblivion PS3 GOTY version, most of which can't be fixed without a second copy of the game. But if it had the console... you know. It was annoying when I first became a vampire in Oblivion and only after I realized I couldn't turn human again. It was a massive headache. At least in Morrowind, the few glitches I do run into can be fixed with a few console codes. And of course playing around with the console is just as fun... I did inevitably acquire Oblivion for my PC, even though it's very slow. It's so fun to play with the console after all the blood sweat and tears on PS3.
