PERSONALITY
General:
-Spirited-
Esme has always been a very energetic and rambunctous kid. She's always on the move and can barely sit still for school most of the time. She is often handful and tends to frustrate adults very easily. She tends to talk a mile a minute and will talk your ear off if you start up a conversation with her. She's the type of kid that when she wakes up she does so in seconds and is ready to go before anyone else has even moved out of bed. Often times people dislike her peppy personality so early in the morning so they tend to avoid her early on in the day. Otherwise they might hurt her. She herself is rather clueless to this.

Passionate-
Esme is a very passion driven individual. She'll move full throttle after the things she's drawn to and won't listen to people who tell her she's not good at it. When and if she comes to the realization she's not as talented as other people she'll still stubbornly keep at it until her skill improves.

Whimsical-
other kids have often found her ideas and way of talking strange, not to mention the fact that she still has an imaginary friend that she talks to. Not to mention she often puts the weirdest outfits together. Esme doesn't really care if people think she's odd, though she prefers them to call her whimsical.

Flighty-
Esme tends to move from one thing to the next without really settling down. She does this with friends as well. In her defense it's a copying mechanism she's been using since she was placed in the orphanage. She realizes that people aren't always going to be around, so she tries to make as many friends as she can so if someone does go she still has someone to talk to. Though when a friend needs help with something, she'll drop everything else that's going on in order to help them deal with it.


Habits: Snorting when she laughs, running her hand through her hair when she's nervous, wearing a pen behind her ear, whipping out her notebook to write down something she's seen or heard

Relationship with Family:
Esme is really close with her fathers and tends to cling or sit really close to them when she's given the opportunity. Because of her years in the orphanage there were times she'd go into panic attacks when she thought she had been left behind. It took her awhile but she's slowly grown out of that, though her heart still races when she thinks they've forgotten her.

She is quite the doting sister to Paulo and will play anything he wants to when she's around him. She's super protective of him and won't ever let him out of her sight. She was rather sorry to have to leave him behind to attend Hogwarts, but is looking forward to when he'll get his letter to Hogwarts and attend with her.
HISTORY
General History:
Esme was known as Irene in the orphanage where she was left a few days after her birth, named after the nun that brought her to the place. She was raised in dismal surroundings in a very over crowded orphanage. Despite her surroundings, she grew into a very loving though strange child. No matter how hard she tried to be like the other kids she always failed and wasn't adopted until she was almost 7 years old.

When Raphael and Juan-Carlos came to the orphanage looking to adopt, they were initially looking for a son and had decided on adopting five year old Paulo. However the poor boy was so sigh and reserved that he didn't say a word and clung to Irene/Esme's legs and wouldn't let go. After watching how protective and close the two were, Raphael and Juan-Carlos changed their minds and decided to adopt the both of them.

Upon getting adopted Irene informed them that she didn't want to go by Irene but by Esmereina or Esme for short. It was rather amusing for Juan-Carlos' mother's name was Esmerelda and figured his mother would think he had chosen the name to please her. They gave her a middle name, after Raphael's mother which rather pleased Esme. She had always wanted a pretty middle name after all.

Life with the two fathers was rather new and strange to Esme, but she rather liked it.
