Just as Dakota had been looking for other people, Tentacles wrapped around his ankle and pulled him closer to whatever...the hell it was.
A million scenario's of tentacle rape played in his head before cut with Chama to loosen it.
Lucky enough he saw a Sun hunter with bright yellow hair...unlucky was a skeleton making its way with them.
So who did he go after? Well it would probably be better to take the octupus of fog rape out first.
"Yo, Sun hunter, Er....I don't know your name bro but wanna take this thing out quick?" Dakota pointed at the other dark skinned hunter and grinned. "I'll be covering you so you don't take too much damage!"

Jeremy let out a rather undignified yelp when something grabbed him and dragged him off, depositing him rather abruptly...somewhere. Ow. He only got a moment to look around, and when he did he spotted a flailing fog tentacle beast, a fellow Hunter and a skeleton.
"...This is almost like the start of a bad joke!" He acknowledged cheerfully enough, climbing to his feet and dusting himself off. The skeleton was a cause for worry, but his immediate concern was the giant thing that had pulled them there. That needed to be taken care of, and so the skeleton only got a glare before he turned away from it, but not so far as to turn his back on it.
"Jeremy. I'll do what I can." He said seriously...and then leaned in to the Hunter that was protection him to whisper something along the lines of his being super rusty. It was something the Hunter should know, but the skeleton and fog thing didn't. The trainee then leaned back, pulling a pocketwatch from inside his jacket. It soon turned into a heavy, flaming anchor on a long chain that was hoisted, swung and launched at the fog beast.
...It didn't so much, but at least it hit.

The thing he had found, whatever it was, was far from friendly. His eyes grew bug-eyed as he stared down at the tentacles that lashed out at him and into the vast fog. “Excuse…?” his soft voice began, but the creature had already begun to drag him toward who-knew-what. The young student found himself even further lost in the fog once the monster finally dropped him unceremoniously. He grimaced, smoothing out the wrinkles in his clothes before he turned toward the other two figures.
They weren’t students either. Rather, they didn’t appear to be made out of FEAR at all. TK narrowed his eyes at the pair. Both of them donned unfamiliar white coats and possessed weapons. Were they reapers? But even reapers were made out FEAR. Lips were still sealed when the two exchanged a few words with each other. So apparently they were on friendly terms.
One of them shot TK a glare, which caused the undead to take a cautious step backwards. He watched the pocket watch with interest and took another step backwards when the hunter attacked the creature. He probably should have done the same, but right now he really needed to get his bearings. TK slid his hands into his pockets and chose to ask quietly, “Who are you, exactly? You called yourself ‘hunters’…?”
"Nice to meet you Jeremy. your fresh from the pod? Man you chose a REALLY bad day to come be a hunter with us." Dakota grinned and then cocked his head to the side. "I'm Dakota by the way, Part of the moon division so I'll be pretty much covering our asses against this thing. If you need me to attack though, let me know."
And then it was Dakota heard the student and narrowed his eyes. While he didn't like the students, this one looked lost and confused. Obviously it was not here to hurt them.
"Yep, Were hunters. Defenders of...wait...hold that thought." And mid battle, Dakota leaned in to whisper over at Jeremy. "Jeremy Bro. Have you ever seen Dragonball Z? You know that part when they do the fusion dance right? We should do it. And we should totally be like: 'We are the defenders against the Fog. I'll say MOON, you should say SUN and we go FUSION HA and then yes. YOU DOWN BROTHER?"
This was probably more important then the fog monster....

Another swing of the metal fireball was given to the creature - this time with backlash, ow! - before the conversation caught his attention again. "...You could say that." Jeremy laughed in a noncommittal way, scratching the back of his neck. Yeeeeeah...fresh from the pod technically, but with minimal experience before that. After the attack their attention went to the little lost student, and despite being a decently happy guy he had to actual work to not try to wear this...skeleton...to pieces. Luckily Dakota was there, distracting him with something that sounded like pure and total awesome.
"DOWN AND THEN SOME!" He quipped back excitedly, both thumbs up and a near cheshire grin on his lips. Oh man oh man oh man he used to do this with his friend at school this was going to be so awesome and---ahhhh this Dakota was currently his newest best friend. When they were 'ready' and thoroughly ignoring the tentacled thing (because that was such a good idea), Jeremy started speaking...rather loudly.
"WE ARE THE DEFENDERS AGAINST THE FOG---" He held both arms in the air, index fingers pointing to the sky. Then, with all the finesse his rail thin body allowed, he pivoted his hip, knee raised and constantly checking out of the corner of his eye that he and Dakota were keeping time. "---SUN!" Then, the finale;
"FUSION HA!"

Division? TK furrowed his brow and mouthed the word. So it seemed the pair was part of a group that contained divisions. What these divisions did or what they were called or how many divisions existed was a mystery to him, and best answered later than now. The name, however, earned the moon hunter a polite nod from the student before he answered with his own, “A pleasure to meet you, I suppose—“ He paused to stare at the tentacle monster. “—Mister Dakota and Mister…? You may call me TK.”
He frowned and gave Dakota a disappointed stare. I’m not that little.
Considering the two were preoccupied with fighting the creature at the moment, he decided now was an apt time to kindly shut up and let them continue with their work. At least, until the taller one began to whisper into the ear of the blond-haired one, which left TK curiously watching the couple. And then…
Dakota fell in line as well, PLEASED that the sun hunter was joining him in this amazing moment. This moment that would be...amazing.
"WE ARE THE DEFENDERS AGAINST THE FOG, MOON." He bent his body down, fingertips touching in that oh so special fusion dance motion.
Chama flared to life as she sputtered flames to top the dance (either out of confusion, annoyance or just ********) and ended up hitting the tentacles.
"AND THAT LITTLE STUDENT, IS WHO WE ARE. STAND BACK. WE WILL DISPEL THIS CREATURE..." Dakota looked at Jeremy. "We make a good team bro." Though just as he said that, he was b***h slapped with a hit from the tentacles.
