The Sunken Maw is the termination of The Hidden Causeway into Andalusia's, The Desert's magical underground capital city. Traveller's must enter and leave the city through The Sunken Maw, unless they intend to mine their way to the surface. Two thick square pillars of basalt frame the end of the enchanted tunnel into Andalusia. On each side of the pillars were carved austere renditions of the Vampires that once lorded over the Devil's Eye Desert. Since their liberation the tribes have violently defaced these sculpted effigies, and covered the ruined faces with long tribal flags and trophies. It is a true display of conquest, clearly announcing to every person that enters Andalusia that the Blood Barons are dead and gone, that the tribes had taken control, and that they would never be slaves again. The Market Plaza is directly in front of the Sunken Maw, and this is where most of Andalusia's strangers do their business. The further districts of the city are patrolled by roving bands of the nation's wilders, and while they will honor a character of reputation within their walls, suspicious activity will not go overlooked.

Leaving the arena, Cordelia had only the hope to leave Andalusia, the Capital of Devil's Eye. It pained her to stay, and that pain she made into anger..her wings beat harder, making small gusts of air rain down upon the strangers that would be going into the city or the market. Panicked cries spread through scores of people, looking up and seeing not one, but two of the Fallen. A species that reined fear within many, especially those of the common of this region. Patrol men raised there fists, and followed on foot..but few could catch the fallen by land. A laugh came through her lips, normally she would try her best not too upset the people..but she was angry, stubborn..she could care less at the moment.
Once she was at the end of the Sunken Maw, she began to fly faster, happy to reach the real skies. She had a destination in mind, hoping the male fallen would follow.

Even the frightened villagers and angry patrolmen couldn't mar his mood. Sure he noticed them, he just simply didn't care. Even when one of them had the gall to shoot an arrow at him. The fallen simply tucked his left wing and barrel rolled, allowing the arrow to fly harmlessly past him. "That archer's got some good aim." He said off handedly, rather auietly and to himself. He continued to follow cordelia, more than a little curious as to where the female was leading him to. Kiita stepped off of the ship after landing at the Andalusian City Entrance. Finally after 2 weeks she had made it to her proper destination. She groaned as she stepped outside into the heat as she had spent all of her time in the luxuries of the ship. She fanned herself but kept all of her equipment hidden underneath her dress that hid what she was adorning. She put on her visor to keep the sun out of her eyes, and then stepped off looking for someone to talk to. She needed guidance to get to Kinetav and she couldn't do it alone. Coinage was not a problem for her as she had brought all she could with her. She felt the sweat starting to coat her slowly with every step she took as she remembered the past week. She had to pull over quite a few times for directions, to get rid of sickness, and so on. Once she was even chased by a giant lizard. She stopped walking and had the desire to scream out her one question... "DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND KINETAV?!"

"Quit your barking," a older wilder growled at the girl. "The knight isn't here. Took off for Ernya to find out what happened to the supplies promised us. They never arrived like their Lady said they'd be so he's looking for them."

"Easy, Sek'thaal," a loud voice spoke from a female wilder from a long distance such that it was apparent it was carried by a strange gust that had suddenly picked up across the dunes. After a fair amount of walking, she placed a hand on the guard before teal eyes stared at Kiita. The wilder's clothes fit her like a second skin, each of the intricate furs of blue, white, and grey woven together in a form that befitted her rank. Each part of her supple body was highlighted by these furs yet they were well covered and her eyes spoke not of lust to any other. Her gaze never left Kiita's eyes, the apparent human's steps flowing as fluidly as the breeze around them; the sands swirled, none of them touching her body as they parted before her. Walking forward past the guard and dismissing the guard with a wave of her hand before standing in front of them, she stood face to face with their newcomer. Her voice was like the wind, soothing and yet strong as she spoke. "You do not wear the Crimson colors and I do not see your mark. Your machine betrays where you travel from. You call upon Kinetav's name, and as Sek'thaal said he is not present. The only relevant questions that I have for you are why you stand here before this city's entrance and why you seek him. Speak wisely and quickly, citizen of the Citadel, or the war cries of the wilders will rise to match your own."

Kiita stood glaring a bit but looking more hurt and betrayed remembering her reason for being here as the people greeted her almost coldly. She just wanted to see her friend. She looked at the older one sadly. "I am of the place you mention. I'm only here to help... Kinetav is my friend and I brought supplies myself for the desert..." She looked down unable to look at them anylonger. She knew they probably wouldnt believe her and she hoped they would give her at least a chance. "I dont want any trouble please. I'm not being tracked and I'm alone. Yes I may adorn my weapons and armor for safety though. I mean it when I say I brought supplies. I am not Srin's puppet and come in concern for my friends..." She whispered the last part. Almost wishing she hadn't literally run into Srin from the start. "If you come into my ship I can provide you with meals and anything else you could want for the time being..?"

By the time Kiita had finished her words, the human had already seemed to flow to get a good view of the ship herself. As promised by Kiita, the ship seemed to be filled with supplies yet the demeanor of the wilder did not change at all. "You speak honorably and your words are filled with truth, Reaper. It is good to know that there are some within the walls of the Citadel that are like you. Perhaps there will be others who refuse to submit to the will of that madman as well. We cannot deny your hospitality in times such as these for our clans and from the tribes, I thank you." Turning back around to Kiita, she walked back up as she made a strange signal; the older wilder who had initially barked at Kiita walked back over the hill before a group of wilders appeared and approached the ship. Each of them passed Kiita silently and entered the ship to carry back out supplies as the female spoke back up, "I am Telara, elder sister of Skyscale. If you do wish to enter into the city, I will also be your guide. Even those who are honorable yet not known to the city will be guarded over."

Kiita watched with a bit of happiness as she watched the people take the supplies from her ship. She looked at the woman who introduced herself as Tellara and nodded a bit. "I do not wish to be known to the city please..." Maybe I could ask for a second life here when Srin becomes to much for me... She thought to herself as she moved to Tellara's side and whispered under her breath so only Tellara could hear her. "That madman you spoke of... Is my husband." She looked into her eyes as she removed her visor to reveal her face. "I'm not like him much... As I have just realized so. I came to speak to Kinetav for a reason... And your people will run out of these supplies eventually and I want to keep these supplies coming. Do you know when Kinetav will be back..?" She put her visor back on to shield her face again from all others as she continued speaking. "I do trust you, but please, I ask of you, let me live a second life here. I do not wish to bring my first life identity here everytime I come to visit and bring supplies." She looked at the entrace of the city warily... it was underground and looked dark unlike the Citadel which had no boundries to the eye and the sun and sky were the only things that ever covered it. "I would like a tour of the city please... including the poorest districts." She bit her lips softly, if Srin was making these people suffer... she wanted to suffer as they did by seeing how badly they did suffer.

As Telara stood, not quite sure what to do or say, one of the wilders with the supplies stepped towards her somberly. Tilting the crate in his hands, the symbol on the side was clear as day: the Ernyan insignia stood out with the light of the sun striking it. "You confuse me, Lady of the Citadel. To boldly take back that which your husband stole from Ernya for our starving tribes and give it to his enemies..." Just as her voice trailed off, a Reaper carrying no supplies exited from the craft. His body was frail and like a skeleton as both the shared pain of starvation and old age hit him, his hair grayed with the signs of wisdom and time. His gauntlet covered his entire arm, with his furs covering the rest of his body and even his neck. Each step he took seemed to pain him as he neared, and after he made a sign of respect by clawing the air in front of his throat a raspy voice broke out, so inaudible that Kiita would strain to hear it clearly,
" The ship has no traces of tracking equipment on it at all and she wears not the tracking device of the Citadel to my sight. Please Telara, allow me to show this one around. It has been ages since another Reaper has tread upon Andalusian soil. Come, follow me, my dear."
Without even waiting for a reply from either of the two ladies, the Reaper turned and started walking slowly down the ramp into the city.

Kiita stood there silently in an icy coldness that ebbed from her soul and over her skin. She couldn't understand why it wasnt just the desert that had to suffer now, but also the people of Ernya. She didn't like this at all... for Srin to hide this from her too. "Telara. Please. Do not call me that on these grounds. Kiita will do well enough. Either that or my maiden name of Remus." She stopped talking as her eyes followed Telara's to the old reaper. Swallowing silently she realized the damage that her husband was causing to everyone, even his own kind. She also realized what must happen if all of this were to go away, if the world was to become natural or normal again... Srin would need to disappear himself... either that or die. She nodded at the old reaper and followed him silently, bowing as she exited with him towards Telara. "We will speak again soon, for now I will follow him." [exit]

Fallen Dark Avenger "God of Justice"
Creator lend me...
Day 127
Are we the only ones with eyes that can see? Are we the only ones with the selflessness for sacrifice? It would seem so. How much did you, did I sacrifice for something greater than ourselves? Yet the others, have the terimnity to condemn us, when they have sacrificed nothing. They pretend to the omniscient, when they cannot see beyond their own needs; omnipotent, when they know nothing beyond what they have been told. And though they lack so much, they refuse to take what I give to them. They refuse to open their eyes, to take wisdom, to make the necessary sacrifice of themselves. They call salvation murder.
Fools, the lot of them. I hope they will be given wisdom in the afterlife I hope the people in this new nation Devil’s Eye, are more wise and more open. I also hope that he won’t be late as he usually is; my list of things to do is long, and every growing. The most recent addition to the list, stemming from an interesting encounter.
I truly thought I was the only one worthy enough to make the sacrifice for power, but it seems I was mistaken. In my travels, I found two fellow voidsworn. Meeting just one other voidsworn is extremely rare; I have met two. One is more intriguing than the other, both are equally irritating to find. I’ve made it a priority to find them again. Our mutual connection to shadow will make it easier.
At least, that is what I’m hoping.
But for now, a meeting is at hand, one that will hopefully bring new strength.
The thump her diary closing echoed in the silence and dark. She slipped the leather-bound book in the folds of her cloak and stood. The white of her wings swallowed by shadow as she pulled her cloak over them and stood. The moon had finally risen over a new day, and she had few hours to work before the sun rose over another night.
She approached the gate.

VelvonVeden :O I didn't even notice! Sorry! A guard approached the woman, noticing the familiar red hair and look of a person, yet she approached with a gait that was relatively unknown to the guard. Fires lit on the towers nearby, illuminating the area and the redheaded woman further, the guard growling at the sight and smell of the fallen, "What do you seek, fallen one? You look like a woman who once walked proudly by our Cursed's side, yet here you are with wings. Did you fall in combat? Did the lands see your honor fit to send you back?"

((Don't worry about it; I've been unable to access a computer for a while anyways, but I'm back now. smile ))
Krona's lips pursed; she clenched back the growl that threatened to sleep between her teeth. Yet another person who had mistaken her for this mysterious woman. First the male Dark Avenger, now a face-less guard. A protest jumped from her mind to her tongue, but was barred from leaving her lips by a thought.
If everyone seemed to think she was this woman and...trust the woman, she assumed, why discourage them? It was possible that this woman they spoke off held some position of power or trust. If that was so, continuing to pretend to be her would be...beneficial.
Krona smiled at the guard, "I truly do not know. Death should be a permanent end...but perhaps there is something that I still must do. And that has what has brought me here...perhaps I can find answers to why I have been...send back."
And perhaps, answers to who this woman was and if her memory would be her existence.
