For one hundred years, The Desert was bound to the will of a merciless and wicked faction of Vampire Witch Doctors known as The Blood Barons. These undead tyrants lorded over the desert with iron fists, bending the tribes to their will and enslaving them for their profit and amusement. While the tribes toiled in their oppression on the scorching sands, the Blood Barons used their magics to craft a vast underground city to offer them respite from the heat, and permanent quarters where they could relish in the luxury of their might. As their rule continued, their underground sanctum grew. As they turned their enslaved people's efforts from the deserts surface to their growing excavations and gem mines, slave ghettos and an arena were developed to help enforce their rule by fear. The Witch Doctors were unaware that their grand capitol would become their grave. Lady Azur Bascule returned to her homeland from her fateful encounter with Besrim Halgar at Fort Adelarde, and with her came her lover and the passions that would incite the Blood Barons' reckoning.

Two years ago, at the end of the revolution the underground metropolis was radically changed. Under Lady Azur and Lord Valdiir's rule, this haunted city became known as Andalusia. The underground ghettos and slums were demolished to make room for permanent dwellings for many of the tribes that suffered through the sun's heat on the surface. Restaurants, bars, and places of leisure were made and opened to all of the desert's people and travelers. The mines still operated, but through independent companies that pay and protect the men and women who work within them. As the tunnels descend deeper, more mysterious areas have been uncovered that demand exploration by experienced spelunkers.

With the rise of free trade and the return of a barter economy within The Devil's Eye, an open market sprang up in Andalusia, and all manner of objects, goods and resources can be purchased or traded. In the wake of this new found prosperity, the community of Andalusia grew openly and welcomed travelers and traders alike with open arms. Throughout this national renaissance, The Devil's Eye Desert did not have a standing military. Only the Tribes, their wrath and their unifying love for the Lord and Lady that saved them served to garner a sizable militia for Andalusia.

Times changed with the murder of Lady Azur and Lord Valdiir's disappearance. Now Andalusia and the tribes of The Devil's Eye are united behind the banner of Adellos Ar'Talon, the Last Son of the desert's Sky Tribe. Though older and more earthly than the previous Lord of the Devil's Eye Desert, Adellos is inexperienced at Lordship. Struggling with limited resources and the loss of Triwind's crops before the harvest, Andalusia has had to begin rationing food. Tensions have once again begun to mount between the tribes, and though there is peace many of the wilders are fearful of what is to come.
