So, after much panic, thought, and a hell of a lot of measuring of my body, I just bought myself my very first Kigurumi pajama suit. In about 10 days, I will be able to fulfill my life-long dream of being a penguin. Now, you're probably all thinking "So? What's your wierdy-bum dream got to do with me Kris?!" Well. Does anyone else have Kigurumi pajamas? If you do, do you love them? They seem to be taking the world by storm, and as per usual, I'm late in picking up this new trend, but DAMNIT I WANT TO BE A PENGUIN. (Blake and I are planning to dress up as the Ice King and Gunther for Armageddon this year - because we're totally the coolest couple on the planet heart )

I had to google the term, because I'd never heard it before. sweatdrop I saw a girl in Helsinki wandering around in what I now know are Kigurumi pajamas. To be perfectly honest, I kind of thought she looked ridiculous. Other than that one time, I've never seen anyone wear them. Are they intended to be worn out in public?

Just not my cup of tea, I guess.

To the best of my knowledge, they're meant to just be comfy. The only time I'll be wearing mine in public is for Armageddon (yay Gunther!) and for my mum's birthday party, which is a shame because they cost me 97 bucks. I do have a friend who wears theirs in public - he and his girlfriend went to the zoo in them. I have another friend who was all excited to get hers just so that she could sit at home and play borderlands in it and pretend she was a dragon. I guess it's all just down to what you're comfy in - I know I won't be incredibly comfortable in public in mine, but at the same time I'll wear it all the time at home. (This is probably aided by the fact that my roommate refuses to take me shopping if I'm not in grown-up clothes)

They're made of polar fleece, and according to the website I bought mine from says "We wear our Kigus everywhere. They're basically an awesome tracksuit. You can wear them to music festivals, down to the shops, out for coffee, camping, in front of TV, or just curl up and go to sleep." So go figure, I guess.

I won't wear them for the same reason that I don't wear crocs. I don't care how comfy I am, if I feel absolutely ridiculous.

This. That's also how I feel about snuggies.

Ah, yes. Even more so about snuggies. Kigurumi are far better than snuggies.

Well. My Kigu showed up. It's incredibly comfy, and I'm in love with it. It's just a really fun item of clothing.

Epic costume idea, by the way. I have a snuggie in my home, but I don't use it. My sweats can be just as ugly and less restricting. I love Crocs, but yeah, aren't going to wear them. I have no idea what these Kigu things are. But I think I know what you mean. Meh, more power to you. I'm seriously growing out of the scaring people age. XD

I just hate onesies to be honest :p And crocs. And snuggies. Snuggies most of all.
