(1) Who does the person with the glowing face represent?

(2) They fail to understand that the "brothers" refers to a fellow Israelite from their midst; it has nothing to do with Ishmael. If you don't trust any of the English versions, read the original Hebrew word "mê·’a·ḥe·ḵā" ( מֵאַחֶ֙יךָ֙ ), which means "fellow countrymen", same word used in Deuteronomy 24:14 for "thy brethren/fellow israelite".

(3) the film lost all credibility for failing to understand #2; twisting words is how Satan deceives. It's an obvious reference to the descendants of Israel: the twelve sons' descendants (referred to as "Israel", btw) are so numerous that they turn into twelve tribes, further divided by clans and families; there are many brothers even within one tribe. Do you see it now?

Quote:
Deuteronomy 18:15-19 (NIV)

15 The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. 16 For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.”

17 The Lord said to me: “What they say is good. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. 19 I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.

Quote:
Acts 3:17-23 (NIV)

17 “Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18 But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer. 19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. 22 For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. 23 Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’[a]

Dear Muslim, let me tell you why I believed

Please don't post long multiple posts like you did in the last Christian guild I was in before they kicked you out. Lol! A nice Muslim girl I chatted with told me it was unattractive, and nobody reads such posts. She's smart. smile

The person with the Glowing Face is Imam Reza who was the seventh descendant of the Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him) and the eighth of the Twelve Imams, according to Shia sect of Islam as well as an Imam of knowledge according to the Zaydi Shia school and Sufis.

It's been a while since I've done any reading up on Islam.

Could you remind me of how one is declared righteous in the eyes of Allah?

Ma'am! That is completely uncalled for. Bullying is unacceptable in this guild and goes against everything we stand for as Christians. This makes your second warning, so please keep your words in mind when you post.

Again, I ask. How is one declared righteous in the eyes of Allah?

Again, I ask. How is one declared righteous in the eyes of Allah?

By Having Faith in Allah, and then doing good deeds

"Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book [Jews and Christians] are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of God all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in God and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous. (The Noble Quran, 3:113-3:114)"

"Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to God, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For God did take Abraham for a friend. (The Noble Quran, 4:125)"

"They say: 'Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided (To salvation).' Say thou: 'Nay! (I would rather) the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with God.' (The Noble Quran, 2:135)"

"Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to God's (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with God. (The Noble Quran, 3:67)"

The "true in Faith" or the "Religion of Abraham" that GOD Almighty accepts is believing in the Absolute One and Living GOD Almighty. This is the main point of Islam, and the belief that would ultimately guide the individual to Salvation.

Yes, Sin Exists

God Punishes people who sin because God is also Just. Hence evildoers and sinners must have their share of punishment and the virtuous, His bounties and favors. Actually God's attribute of Mercy has full manifestation in His attribute of Justice. People suffering throughout their lives for His sake and people oppressing and exploiting other people all their lives should not receive similar treatment from their Lord. Expecting similar treatment for them will amount to negating the very belief in the accountability of man in the Hereafter and thereby negating all the incentives for a moral and virtuous life in this world. The following Quranic verses are very clear and straightforward in this respect:

"Verily, for the Righteous are gardens of Delight, in the Presence of their Lord. Shall We then treat the people of Faith like the people of Sin? What is the matter with you? How judge you?" Quran 68:34-36

Does everyone sin? Or do just some people sin?
Is it possible to live a life that is without sin?
Also, how is Allah's justice carried out in punishment of sin?

One final question: what are examples of sin according to the Quran?

1.People sin, some Prophets sinned and others possibly didn't and only Allah knows whether Abraham,Job,or Jesus son of Mary sinned (peace be upon him)

2.Can you live a life without sin? Maybe but It would be very difficult to do especially nowadays

3.Allah (God) is he Most Compassionate and Most Merciful, He Forgives any sin if the person repents and prays for forgiveness, if they don't on Judgment Day Allah will throw the evil-doers in hell

4. The Biggest Sin is Idolatry and worshiping someone or something other than God
Other sins include
drinking of wine and all kinds of intoxicants, bearing false witness ,sorcery and black magic, adultery, murder, stealing, defaming a woman of good standing

Hope that answered all your Questions

I've forgot to reply to this question for a while now
Sorry for that
During our 5 daily prayers we Muslims ask God to forgive any wrongdoings we may have done
