Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise was excitable for a lot of people. In 1987, the original cartoon show's ninja turtles have awesome voices. But one thing that makes us feel a little upset is: Why were the Turtles' voices changed? And what happened to the original themse song? The turtle updates are fine, but the voices are not as appealing as the ones in the 80's-90's version.

Raphael that was once voiced by Rob Paulsen was played by a different voice actor who was making Raph himself have a deeper, more tougher voice. Raph of TMNT also has a bad attitude and fierce temper and he can be sarcastic sometimes. He can also be a bully to his brother Mikey sometimes. But he is a loveable brother to Mikey, Don and Leo. His personality, such as this, was never like that in the 1980's TMNT series. His personality was particularly different back then. In the 2003 version, he has more brawn, more attitude, and more anger, but a loveable brother of the ninja turtles. When there's crimes or evildoers to fight, he doesn't hesitate to fight and he determines to knock them out cold. Sometimes he relies on brawn and anger to feel superior. He also trains like a maniac. He is insane. He was never like this in the 1980's TMNT series. Only in the 2003 series. He has a New York Brooklyn accent, unlike his 1980's counterpart. I have no idea why his nature changed like this. I don't know what the company was doing to Raphael in TMNT.

Michelangelo once had a cool, surfer dude like voice in the 90's version, but he doesn't sound like it in the 2003 version. He sounds younger and different in some way. Also, his 90's counterpart's ninja skills were awesome, but in 2003, it is not as good. He also gets bapped in the head a lot by his brothers or Master Splinter. How sad. He never got bapped in the head in the old classic cartoon series, but in the new modern series he does periodically get bapped often. What's next? He experiences brain damage or a concussion or something? from getting hit in the head often? And Mikey himself can be lazy at times: video games, television, movies, comic books, parties and pizza is what he cares about instead of taking responsibility, training often like his brothers. He's a ninja and this is his personality/nature? In the old classic series, he wasn't like this as much. He was a trained fighter who did take on responsability often, but in the new modern 2003 series, he is lazy often. What have they done to Mikey? The aspects of his nature and characteristics are so disappointing. He was a serious butt kicking ninja who takes on responsibilities often and has awesome moves in the 80's and 90's cartoon series, but in the 2003 version, he is more lazy and doesn't train as much, and his moves are not as good. His 90's counterpart doesn't get hit in the head much, but his 2003 counterpart does. It's so disappointing to many viewers and fans.

Donatello's voice is much different in comparison with his 1987 counterpart. But he still does science, technology, research and engineering. But he still has a big brain in his head and he is very discreet and alert minded, esp. when he does some research. But whenever I look at his face or think about him, I think about his 1987 voice or somewhat similar instead of his original voice overs in the franchise. I think the source of his 1987 counterpart's voice just flashes through my mind whenever I see or think about him. So I think the old 1987 Donatello's voice is more appealing than the rest of his counterparts.

Leonardo's voice sounds younger than his 1987 counterpart. Not too appealing. But he is always the leader of the bunch and he is the most disciplined, focused student of Master Splinter, and a true master of his own ninja skills. But he is still in training. He's the leader, the eldest and calmest turtle of the ninja turtles. He was my old time favorite turtle. And so was Donatello. Leonardo is alert minded and smart, too, at a higher rate than Donatello, since he is the eldest brother and the most disciplined and he meditates quite often. But 2003 Leo's voice sounds like he is 28 years old in comparison to how his 80's counterpart sounds like.

Overall: the 1987 TMNT cartoon show seems like it is better than the 2003-2007 ones. Because the aspects of the show was radical. The voices were radical, their motives, attitudes, ways of fighting was awesome. But the Ninja Turtles of 2003-2007, well, they are still awesome fighters, but their voices were not too appealing for our taste, well, not in the same way as their 80's-90's counterparts. And the motives, attitudes and ways of Mikey and Raph were so disappointing, as I described above. Sorry people, nothing personal. I mean, I appreciate the upgrades and updates of the ninja turtle designs and details, and their natures, but still... well, you get the idea. Know what I'm saying? Understand where this goes?

This is my commentary about the aspects of The Ninja Turtles' natures and fighting skills and motives.
