Only I can't get to the doctor until Friday.

Luckily I'm only really getting symptoms in the morning but it's interrupting my sleep and hurts like a b***h. sad I have to sit in the shower for like 20 mins to soothe the pain.

I couldn't stand all the sleep I was losing and the pain. So I went to a walk-in clinic today. It only took like 10 mins and they gave me a box of antibiotics straight away, didn't even need to collect a prescription! I told them I've had them fairly often and they gave me a 2nd dose in the box, saying I could take them if I felt another one in the future.

So yeah wow, very impressed by the clinic.

Brittney I hope you can see a doctor soon. I can't believe they would delay it a whole week though. You're at risk of the infection spreading to your kidneys. At the clinic they kept emphasising how bad a kidney infection would be and told me to go to the emergency room if I felt any back pain or got feverish. The woman chastised me for not coming to get antibiotics sooner!

Do you have anything similar to a walk-in clinic near you? I didn't need a doctor's appointment, I just saw a nurse who can do a dipstick test on a urine sample straight away.

Yeah. This is the stuff I've been told:
-Pee before and after sex, washing your genitals if you can, and your hands too if you use them during sex (and this applies to both partners, regardless who gets the UTIs)
-Drink lots of water and cranberry juice
-Wipe front to back
-Wear cotton panties

They're supposed to be preventative measures. But some people are just more prone to them. It can be due to the size of your urinary tract, position of the urethra etc.

Like I do all the things they tell me to do and I still get one every few months. Sucks balls. Sometimes you just get unlucky.

nah, I don't have anything like that around me. that medicine I got apparently fights the infection very slowly, so I'm okay until I can get to the doctor.
My pee is literally bright orange still and it's so ******** WEIRD IT'S BEEN THIS WAY FOR TWO DAYS AND IS STILL WEIRD
