I had been using Secret pear scent last spring because I love the way it smells, but when I ran out I accidentally bought the gel instead of the solid and it has not been cutting it. Neither has the Dove that I've had forever.
SO
yesterday I went to Target and I decided I would try one of the fancy "clinical strength" kinds because it's marching band season and I'm tired of having wet armpits all the time. I almost bought one of the kinds that comes in the box (and costs like $8 ) but then I realized that men's deodorant tends to be stronger, so I just bought a random unscented one (Mitchum Clinical Strength). But on my way to check out, I found that one of Secret's clinical strength scents was on sale (for $3 plus it came with a free sample, holla~).
IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE I decided to buy both and so I guess over the next few days I'll telling you guys all about my deodorant experiences.

IT'S 'TRUTH OR PEAR'
THE SMELL IS MAGNIFICENT BUT THE GEL SUCKS SO BAD
Anyway I put on the Secret Outlast and my pits are still clean, and I will be leaving my apartment today.

I use Dove Original and it works really well for me. I also have Herbal Clear Sport, which is a natural deodorant. I like the scent of it (tea tree) but it doesn't work very well for me if I'm doing anything other than sitting in a cool place, lol.

UPDATE: MY PITS STILL SMELL FRESH BUT IT WASN'T VERY HOT TODAY

Okay so my conclusion so far:
the men's (Mitchum) was completely unsatisfying and I was smelly after 50 minutes of yoga
the thing of Secret works pretty well, but I was still smelly after band (but it's at pretty much the worst time of day, so there's that)
I still have a sample of the clinical strength kind though so I think I'll give that a try Friday (midafternoon practice)

I don't use antiperspirant anymore because I sweat too much and it's a lost cause. However I started using crystal essence and that s**t works great. Highly recommend it. You're not smelly for most of the day.

I mean it's kind of hard to avoid sweating in Texas during this time of year. I just wanted something that will stop me from having smelly armpits at the end of the day, especially if I'm not being very active.

yeah i feel it. living in hawaii + biking up 3 hills to get to school every day is like whytf would i even bother using antiperspirant anymore.
crystal essence is great. i'm a smelly sweater unfortunately but with that stuff i smell like lavender nom noms. it lasts through the day and then i swipe some more on at night if i'm going out or just wanna smell purdy again.
edit- it's also paraben free and hypoallergenic which is what i'm into. i'm on a strictly no-paraben-on-mah-body lifestyle and my pitties are sensitive so that's helpful too.

hmm, maybe. i get mine from cvs/longs. it applies with a rolling ball so it's not in the regular giant flat chapstick shape like other deodorants.

So the trial size of Secret clinical strength I got worked wonders on my armpits at the football game on Sunday and the and the full-size one I got also works well. The men's deodorant I got has been disappointing but oh well. AT LEAST MY ARMPITS DO NOT SMELL even when I have salt caked all over my face.
