After a few mintues of changing out of her wet clothes into dry ones, she grabbed the blanket she had brought from home padded over to the couch near the fireplace, she sat down and laid out the blanket before going under it and hugging her legs to her chest, her arms wrapped around her shins. Her white hair was dry and in a nice braid her mother taught her and her teal eyes stared into the flickering fire.
A soft gaze was upon them as she stared at the flickering flames. She took a breath it, the smell of herbs and plans and greenery were welcoming to her. She rested her chin on top her knees. She softly sighed and thought to herself of course hufflepuffs stick together..but I had thought Liam and I had a special connection she was still a little flustered from the closeness the two had when Liam was trying to get her out of the rain and she was grateful for the assistance but she wasn't sure what he thought of her, probably stupid to wear her school clothing out when it was going to pour.
She shook her head from the thought and continued to stare at the flickering fireplace. She was wondering what her parents were up and what her siblings were up to. The fire reflecting off in her teal eyes as she gazed at it. The two had never been so close before and she was not complaining she liked it and his eyes looked at her with sincerity when he pulled her out of the mud puddle. It made her wonder if they would end up together or not. Look! Fireworks!

Liam found that he was actually looking forward to spending more time with Destiny, strange as that was for him. He usually wasn't the most social of people and tended to stick by himself. Unless of course his siblings decided to interfer with his life, which was much too often for his liking.
Liam quickly discarded his wet clothes in the dirty clothes basket in the corner of his dorm room and took a brush through his hair to get out the rain water that had gotten into it. After that he grabbed a warm pair of sweat pants, and his favorite green sweatshirt. He usually wore this one to bed, as it was the softest and warmest one he had. And it still smelled like home. He sniffed the familiar citrus scented soap that his mother used to wash clothes and then pulled on some soft fuzzy yellow and black socks his mother had sent him.
Once he was all dressed and comfortable he went to rummage through his trunk for the chocolate and can evaporated milk that he'd need. It didn't take long to locate them, and he shoved them into the pocket of his sweater. He rummaged through his trunk again and found his mug. A sudden thought fluttered through his head, there were two of them and only one mug. He shrugged, they would just have to share it, though he supposed Destiny might have a cup of her own. He'd just have to ask.
He was rather amused to find Destiny waiting there wrapped up in a blanket next to a flickering fire. He smiled and made his way over. "This may take awhile," he told her. "I've got to melt the chocolate first and then add the evaporated milk to it. You don't have a mug or cup in your belongings do you?" He looking her over closely.

Destiny blinked as Liam arrived before leaning back slightly and smiling a little "took you long enough..I was waiting for you and my hot chocolate" she said with a light giggle before she thought for a moment "No I don't" she admitted, shoot that was one thing she forgot as well. She leaned back on her hands her neat braid over a shoulder as she glanced at him with her teal eyes.
"I just brought a blanket from home" she told him before tilting her head at the fact that she would have to wait a little longer for her hot chocolate, she glanced over him thoughtfully he definitely looked comfortable. She interlocked her fingers before blinking "well..I can wait a little longer" she told him happily, that just gave her all the reason more to enjoy his company and see what else she could find out about him. Though the thought of her and liam together was at the back of her mind. If she brought it up now that would be so awkward for both of them.

Liam was a bit surprised by her words. "I just took as long as I needed, that's all." He said blinking at her. He was a bit surprised when she actually giggled. Wait..had she been kidding? Liam shook his head and smiled over at her.
Liam broke open the bar of chocolate and broke it up into pieces inside his mug and placed the mug into the coals of of the fireplace and watched as the chocolate slowly began to melt. "Well it won't take that long. Looks like the coals are hot enough." He told her with a smile. "Don't worry about not having a cup we'll just have to share."
A few moments later the chocolate was completely melted and Liam pulled open the tab of the evaporated milk and poured in half of it's contents. He pulled the mug out of the coals and let it cool off a little before he started shaking the mug slightly to get the two ingredients to mix together. He should have thought to get a spoon, but he wasn't about to go into the kitchen and get caught taking one.
There..I think it's ready," He said wiping the ashes off the bottom of the mug before he handed it to her. "You may need to blow on it first."

Destiny took the mug of Hot Chocolate from Liam, she wrapped her hands around the mug with a smile. She blew on it before taking a sip of the Hot Chocolate "mm..hot chocolate, always the best thing to have when its cold outside" she said with a smile. She held it in her hands for a bit longer so they warm up before passing the Mug to Liam. She smiled at him, she always enjoyed his company and she was pretty sure that would never change in her book.
She shifted so her feet were sitting at an angle before she used a hand to pat the free space beside her on the couch "care to have a seat?" she asked him, tilting her head to the side a bit. "if you are cold still you're welcome to sit under my blanket as well" she put in, just in case he wasn't warm enough but from the looks of it he was.

He watched as she took the mug and wrapped her small fingers around it. He wondered what they might feel like in his own hands. Liam shook his head at the thought. Where was his mind going? And why? Was this how it had started when his older brothers first started thinking about the fairer sex? He'd just have to write one of them and ask. He wasn't about to ask his brother Leoben, he'd probably just make fun of him. Liam really didn't want to give his brother any material to use against him if he could help it. Why did his brother have to be so childish?
"Yes, along with hot soup." Liam murmured remembering the delicious taste of his mother's minestrone soup that she always made on the first cold day of fall. Man..he was going to miss out! So not fair.
He blinked a bit surprised when she handed the mug over to him. He hadn't meant that they'd drink out of the mug at the same time. Still he didn't want to be rude. He took the mug from her and took a sip from the opposite side of it.
He watched as she shifted her position on the couch, wondering at first why she was doing it. He was a bit surprised when she offered him a spot next to her. He glanced around the common room, and then got up and sat down next to her. "Thanks, the floor is a bit hard." He said with a small smile.
He glanced at her blanket when she offered to share it with him. It looked to be really soft, and it was a pretty lilac color. Liam touched it with his free hand and was surprised that it was even softer than it looked. "Wow, that is one soft blanket. I think I'm good..these socks my mom made me and my sweats are actually making me really hot." He said with a smile.

Destiny lightly smiled before lightly stroking the blanket herself "yeah...its my favorite one, I've had it since I was small, I took it everywhere with me" she told him. She tilted her head to the side and glanced at him "that's good to know" she put in, before she shifted her gaze to the fireplace. "what else can you tell me about yourself?" she asked him politely.
She waited for his reply as she took in the smells of agriculture and greenery. She pondered over a thought carefully, his personality was different from Maer's and his brother's but she didn't mind all that much. She would just need to dedicate time to open him up slowly. "soup is also a good thing to have when its cold outside" she put in before she looked around their common room, it seemed at the moment there was only the two of them. She lightly stroked the end of her braid.

He leaned in closer to have a better look at her blanket as she spoke about it. It did look a bit threadbare. He smiled. He remembered the green blanket he used to drag around when he had been little. It had gotten so ripped up and torn that his mother had to repair it pretty much every week.
Liam was rather surprised by her question. Usually people never asked him him these type of questions. "Uh well.." he started scratching the back of his head a bit uneasily. "I used to have a blanket I carried around everywhere when I was little. It was green. My mom had to repair it all the time because it got lots of rips in it. Umm..I like nature and to walk around in it and enjoy it. I find pretty much everyone at the school, save you, way too loud and obnoxious."
He felt a blush fill his face at the last sentence. He dipped his head, hoping she hadn't noticed.
"Oh it is. Especially the way my mom makes it." He replied with a small smile. "You hair looks pretty braided."

Destiny blinked and listened as he told her about himself "well..I'm glad you are willing to share about yourself" she said with a light smile as she fiddled around with a stray thread on her blanket. "though, Me i'm an only child, I like cherryblossom flowers, I like reading and I like drawing." she said "I sometimes play on the quidditch team..but I don't find as fun as others do" she finished.
"ah thank you..my mom taught me how to do it myself when I needed to" she said "it takes a lot of practice and patience to get it just right" she told him with a smile. "I could try wearing it braided every day, but I don't know If I'll have enough time to do so" she put in thinking about it thoughtfully.

Liam was a bit relieved when she didn't seem to notice or comment on his blushing. He was rather surprised to hear she was an only child. "What was it like growing up as an only child? Were you lonely? You'll have to show me some of your drawings sometime soon." He told her with a smile.
Liam was even more surprised when she said she liked to play quidditch. "I thought first years weren't allowed on the teams. How were you able to get on it?"
Liam saw that the mug was getting close to empty, He took another sip and handed it back to her. "Finish that up and I'll make a new mug if you want more."
"I bet it does." He said and reached out to her braid. He ran a finger down it and examined it closely. "Well you'll just have to do it when you have time."

Destiny pondered over it thoughtfully "well..it was quite..nice you get everything you ever wanted without having to share..but it did get lonely at times" she told him before tilting her head "Perhaps I will one day" she told him with a smile.
"as for my explaining my whole quidditch...idea" she said "I'am not...but looks like it would be hard to get on the team" she said tapping her chin lightly. "though if i was old enough to..I probably wouldn't try to get on the team.." she said thinking about it.
She took the mug from Liam and nodded her head "alright" she said finishing off the rest of the hot chocolate and handing him the mug back "you can finish the rest of it, if you want" she told him happily, at least she was warm from the hot chocolate.
She nodded her head "I try to..when I have free time..other times it just stays straight and unbraided" she told him. "though I'm thinking about wearing it in a braid every couple of days" she put in.

Liam couldn't help but wonder how his life might have been different if he had been an only child. He wondered if he would have been lonely or if he would have blossomed more to have more one on one attention from his parents. Just thinking about it made him rather wary of just how much one on one time he might have had. Man, he would have been supervised a lot more and he never would have gotten any alone time. He shuddered at the thought. No it was good that he was in a big family.
"Sharing isn't all that bad," he said diplomatically. "Well..loneliness is subjective. I guess it depends on a kid's personality and how they get along with or without people. I myself rather like when I get alone time. Maybe that's just because I was surrounded by so many people in my life."
Liam was rather enamored with her smile, did Destiny know how her lips curled up at the corners making her look even cuter? More than likely she didn't as no one had ever told her before. Liam rather looked forward to getting to tell her such things.
"Oh," Liam replied trying to figure out her whole explanation. "So it's more or less your imagination of being on the team? Well of course it's hard, riding brooms can be detrimental to your well being after all." He added shuddering slightly recalling stories that his brothers had told him about accidents happening during games.
Liam watched her as she took another drink from the hot chocolate. He took the cup from her and then reached out with a finger to wipe away the hot chocolate that had settled in the left corner of her mouth. "You got a bit right there." he said softly and then wondered what to do with the stuff that was now on the end of his finger. After a moment he shrugged and licked it off.
"Actually, I've had enough, did you want more or have you had enough as well?" He asked.
Liam nodded, "Seems like a good idea. I suppose you could braid it on the weekends as you'll have more time to get ready on those days as well."

Destiny shrugged, she lightly interlocked her fingers in her lap. As she quietly wondered what to keep the conversation going, normally it would be fine snuggling on the couch with no talking but it didn't look like either of them were up for that yet. Though she felt a pang of guilt she totally forgot to tell him about her siblings.
She pondered thoughtfully, "well...I wouldn't think so, then again i do have my own toys..." she said "and I forgot i had siblings...that is just sad...I totally forgot that my siblings existed..but yes..I do have siblings..sorry..about saying I didn't have any" she said sheepishly, hoping it wouldn't get him mad at her or even disappointed in her . She lightly looked down at her fingers "truthfully..I do have have siblings..a lot older then me" she said fiddling with her thumbs.

Liam watched Destiny's mannerisms with a small smile on his lips. He leaned back against the couch and found himself relaxing quite a bit. It was nice to just sit here and talk and listen to Destiny talking.
He wondered if she knew just how relaxing her voice was.
He was a bit surprised to hear that she forgot that she had siblings. He had never known anyone to forget that before. Though perhaps her siblings were boring and didn't really bother her all that much.
"Hey it's okay. Maybe you're just getting sleepy? I think I'm about read to go to bed. Your voice is just soo soothing."

Destiny stretched a bit and looked around, since her birthday she had been sleeping with the stuffed owl that Liam gave her, it made her feel like he was with her indirectly. "well, I've never been told that but I'm glad its coming from you" she said with a light smile. Before giving a small yawn, sitting by the fire and drinking hot chocolate was a good way to relax after a day of school, she would need to do that more often.
