Without going into much detail I happily announce that Mamoru has NOT passed on!
I was lied to about the whole thing.
He is in remission and happy!

.... I don't know what to say about this. I actually grieved for him. Who would lie about something like this?
...it doesn't matter. I'm just thankful that he is alive after all.

Yes, it was terribly cruel, but it is Mamoru's decision to not speak on the matter and I will respect his wishes and not speak what I know about the matter either.
