Appearance: Zhang is rather short and scrawny, even for a Fire Nation teen. The has thin limbs and narrow hips, and, when he isn't yelling or trying to char someone, he tends to attempt to swell his chest for "maximum macho-ness." His eyes are rather large and uncommonly expressive for his gender. Across his body are minor, lesser flaws, which are shown off in stark contrast to his pale skin tone. There are shadows under the boy's eyes from a general lack of sleep, and when he isn't posing in righteous rage, his spine is bowed. In most cases, Zhang gives the impression of one both morose and defeated until he becomes angry. At which point, he animates.

Temperament: Anger is the primary facet of Zhang's personality. He has a tendency to snap, frequently, which throws his bending out of whack and makes him a massive hazard to those around him. Even simple annoyances like a leaky faucet set him off. Because he is prone to violent fits of firebending, and because he rarely takes the time to curb or direct these fits, a great deal of his time is spent trying to remain calm. He holes himself up in the bowels of the airship and meditates, though occasionally he will emerge for things like food or bathroom trips. He tends to avoid others, for their protection. But on occasion he will misinterpret the time of day or come across another individual. It tends to go badly thereafter.
