Alright everyone, we need to spread our branches and grow, and that means we need to cultivate some ways to make our guild more appealing. This includes mottos, signatures, slogans, links, and good old word of mouth. I need suggestions, ideas, and volunteers from the guild to help with guild publicity. Post away!

Are we still just recruiting barton people or are we expanding the guild to others?

KaguraSakata Are we still just recruiting barton people or are we expanding the guild to others? Still barton at this point, but the option to open our doors to others is still open for discussion.

Ah I see, I asked because I though maybe having a big contest/event thread run by the guild for Halloween or Christmas( not in the guild itself) might have been a good way to show our guild off attract people and have some fun. But I wasn't sure who we were looking to recruit.

One thing you can do, which might take a little time to do, is go to the Barton forum archive and look for people who are not already listed as members of this guild and send them a invitation to the guild. When Halloween time comes around that could be the test to see whether or not you want to expand the guild outside of people who were in Barton for the summer event. You can have any guild event thread made be open to all comers and if you like what you see then you can decide if you want to extend any invitations to people who weren't a part of the Barton team. The only downside to the invite system is that you can't use the code from the forum to send them a little graphical invite so that's where the guild's home page is going to have to be extra important with the who we are and what we do here.
After the guild's been around for a bit you can decide if you want to take suggestions for people to invite to the guild from the existing members if you wish to open things to a wider audience. I've been in guilds that do that and it's very useful when the guild's crew might not be in most parts of the forums.

We still need people for recruiting, and if you're up to it, I can assign you the role and rank of a recruiter.
