Just outside of the eastern wall is a large lake that feeds a small river running down the forest. It itself is fed by a waterfall that runs from the mountains. It is cool and fresh, and even freezes in winter. In the middle of the lake is a construct that acts very much like the Pool construct, his head just sitting above the surface of the water.

Olivia twirls around, watching her orange and pink skirt twirl around her. She giggles and kicks off her flip flops. This is great! The light reflecting off of the lake, everything! She'll have to try and bring her friend from the shiney place here, after she figures out how to get her out of there, of course. . . .

Krait made his way to the lake, not through intention, but partly through instinct and partly through following the smell he tasted on his forked tongue. When the water came in view, Krait stopped still and stared. The placid water stretched out before him, glinting in the sunlight and the breeze licked the lake surface into little ripples that shimmered with light. What is this place? Krait wondered, in awe. It feels almost like...home... Krait sternly told himself that home was his room, where his binoculars and his journal lay safe. This water was not safe...and yet... Krait flopped into the grass and pebble at the lake's edge and hastily began to untie his boots. He kicked them off, and then pulled off his arm warmers and then unbuckled his jumper. For the first time, Krait left his clothing in a messy heap, and didn't bother to fold the items, to smooth the velvet, to wind up the ribbon... His heart was pounding with excitement; the sound of the lapping water filled his head, and Krait could think of nothing else, but to leap into that clear blue...to dive in, to be swallowed, and to like it. He stood, pale silvery-white skin reflecting the sunlight as much as the lake before him. He gingerly picked his way to the edge of the water and dipped a soft toe into the lake. As the cool liquid engulfed his foot, a shiver of pleasure ran up through Krait's body, enlivening every nerve, waking his cells, waking his mind. Krait closed his eyes, and forgetting that he still wore his canvas shorts, he began to walk into the lake. With eyes closed there was nothing but the flicker of colour on the inside of his eyelids as the light reflecting off the lake danced over his face and the sensation of the cool water washing over him. When Krait felt the cool liquid was over his stomach he let himself fall forward into the clean water and with a splash, he was home.

Finally having gotten the courage she needed to venture away from the safety of her room at the Development House, Belinda tiptoed down the hallway, down the stairs and towards the front door.
She'd dressed meticulously, taking great care to make sure the outfit she'd found in the bureau was kept neat and tidy, and that she looked what she believed to be pretty. Ra'cerne was held securely in her arm as she opened the door. She had to shield her eyes from the bright sun as it was brighter than she'd anticipated. Blinking quite vigourously till her eyes adjusted, she finally set off down the little path, out to see the city in person for the first time, instead of only from the window of her room.
---
Too many things caught her attention, demanding to be explored and investigated. But not one thing alone stood out this day to be the single thing she explored. Instead, she'd just make mental notes to come back and look closer another day. Today, she was mainly just out walking to see the city and see what was beyond the buildings and if there were others. The idea that she was alone didn't bother her, but she was curious. She'd heard noises in the Development house over the week, but was too scared to open the door to look.
He walk led her just past the eastern wall, to an environment she felt drawn too. The trees, the vegetation, the cover of nature even seemed more natural to her. Not as safe, but quite natural. She had a small smile on her lips as she walked towards the glinting lake surface just beyond the trees.
Inhaling deeply and looking down to Ra'cerne she felt very peaceful. Glad she'd finally decided to do this.

Olivia stops twirling, and nearly topples into the water because of how dizzy she is. Instead, she falls flat on her bum with an instinctive 'oof!'
Giggling again, she looks over to see Krait in the water. He seems a little busy, so she settles on something she knows is an appropriate greeting. She waves, hoping he will see it and not think that she is . . . ignoring? him.
Jumping to her bare feet, she spots another child. "Hello!" she cries, running over to the other little girl. "I Olivia," she says, grinning in her sweet way and bouncing on her toes when she gets close enough to her. She grabs her pink tail again and hugs the tip, mindful of keeping her twirly skirt lowered, as she is reminded somewhere that that is the proper thing to do.

Belinda took a step back seeing others like her. She was surprised they looked so different, but similar. The little pink girl in front of her was very pleasant. She'd discovered that pale pink was her favorite color and this girl was covered in it. She smiled and held Ra'cerne tight her body. "Hi... I... Bel...Belinda." her voice squeaked just a little, only for lack of use, if anything.
Her own tail moved very slowly behind her along the ground, moving to curl around her leg. She noticed this Olivia person had a pink tail and that made her smile a little broader.

"Nicccce meet you, Belinda," Olivia says, grinning. Does everyone have a word like she does? It makes it easier to . . . identify? people?
She visibly shakes her head, sending the white ribbon in her hair, and her strange pony tail, bouncing. She looks down at the doll in Belinda's arms, but only the one visible red eye can be seen looking. "I like," she says, pointing to the doll, and grinning wider when she looks back at Belinda. She pouts a little, thinking that she should have brought her kite out here. Maybe she would have figured out how to use it.
Her face is soon in it's usual innocent, sweet face, and she bounces on her toes again. "Dressss pretty, Belinda. Where you get it?"

Belinda nodded to Olivia, agreeing it was nice to meet her too. She looked down to her dress when Olivia mentioned it and grinned a little, tugging at the edge of the skirt with her free hand. "I not know." She shrugged a little and looked back up. "It wasss in my home, ssso I weared it." She looked at the clothing Olivia was wearing and nodded a little. "I like your dressss." she says softly before holding Ra'cerne up.
"Thiss isss my friend, Ra'cccerne." She pulled the pull-string on the back of the doll to show Olivia that her friend spoke too.
"Hello, my name is Ra'ceme, who might you be? "

Olivia blinks when the doll speaks, and bends forward to look at it more. "Hello, Ra'ccccern," she says. "I Olivia."
She glances up at Belinda. "I have other clothessss at home. You go to many-room placccce and get more. I sssshow you ssssometime?" she asks. "If you wantssss."
She glances at the doll again, and keeps staring at it. "It jusssst talk like that all timessss?" she points at Ra'cerne.

Belinda nodded fast, "Yesss! I only have thisss and ... jammiesss." She tugged the edge of her skirt again. It was nice to feel pretty and she liked the dress quite a bit, but Olivia's clothes looked comfy too and she wanted to try something like that now that she seen they existed.
"Ssshe talksss when I pull her ssstring." She explained and pulled the pull-string once more.
"Looks like I'm going to be your friend * sighs*"

"I like . . . jammiessss," Olivia grins. "I have pink . . . long sssshirt with . . . daissssies on it at room. And jammie pantssss and sssshirt, too. I sssshow you many roomssss, and you ssssee all pretty clothessss. And . . . sssshoessss."
She looks down at Ra'cerne once more, and pouts. "She no ssssound like sssshe really wantssss to be Livvy'ssss friend," she says, softly, thinking that, since the doll speaks, it really has feelings. Bear in mind she also thinks her reflection is her friend. "Belinda want be Livvy'ssss friend?" she asks, smiling hopefully. "Like making friendssss."

"Minesss isss pink too!" Belinda was beaming, she really liked Olivia so far. "But no daisssies. I got just pink ssshirt thing." She nodded. "I like to sssee pretty clothesss sssomeday! Livvy take Bel sssomeday?" She asked, looking very hopeful.
She pulled Ra'cerne's string again, knowing sometimes the stuff she says isn't so bad...she still hadn't quite memorized the order yet tho, thinking Ra'cerne was not a doll but her living friend.
"Make sure you look after me."
"I already sssaid I would, Ra'cccerne." Belinda told her doll, then pulled the string again.
"My skin is so ...pale."
She shook her head at Ra'cerne. "I be Livvy'sss friend!" she said with a wide smile, looking back to Olivia. "You be Bel'ss friend too?"

"Pink issss the besssstesssst color," Olivia nods, her face serious. She is soon grinning again, over how excited Belinda is. Bouncing once more, she nods entusiastically. "Yessss, Livvy take Bel. Whenever Bel wantssss! Bel like thingssss in all roomssss. Livvy sssseen pretty thingssss. Livvy ssssure Bel will like, too!"
She stops bouncing again when Belinda pulls the string. She giggles over the last comment of Ra'cerne's. "Sssshe ssssilly!" she says, reaching out to poke Ra'cerne.
With her tail swishing in excited archs behind her, she nods as enthusiastically as ever before as she says, "Yay! Bel and Livvy make friendssss with each other! Livvy will sssshow Bel kite ssssometime. Nicccce and pink. Livvy will sssshow Krait, too, when Livvy knowssss how to play with it." She tilts her head to the side. "Where Bel get Ra'ccccerne? If Bel not been to many roomssss, then Bel not get it there. Livvy woulda sssseen it, and got insssstead of kite," she nods again.

Krait slipped through the water, and felt the power of his tail beat through the liquid effortlessly. He understood now the flat tip to his tail. Olivia had not had the same flat tip. He had wondered, had his tail been pinched in the door before he could remember? No, now Krait knew, that flat tip that tip beat through the water and steered him through the dark and cool, into the nothing. Without thinking he twisted in the cool water world and drove himself deeper, away from the light above. He felt his skin growing colder, felt his blood slowing, and then, his chest began to hurt. He began to realize that he could not stay in this world for ever. He began to realize that he needed to breathe. He twisted sharply again and blinked his eyes against the particles of mud and algae that floated about his face. The Light was so far up, so far away. Krait began to push for it, beating the water with both arms, and both legs and his tail twisting madly behind him. He began to shoot through the water, he could feel the push of it as it split aronud him, his ears were screaming as the pressure changed, and his lungs burning. Finally, with a splash and a deep gasp, Krait broke the surface and paddled in one spot, catching his breath, rubbing his chest and waiting for the ringing in his ears to stop... He thought of the sensation when he was belw...the sense of timelessness, the sense of solitude...and the more Krait thught about it the more he realized how long he had been under, not breathing air, not thinking, just doing just swimming. Krait was puzzled, and at the same time completely unsurprised. He turned his attention to the shore, and there, sure enough was Olivia...and...another? Krait paddled in smoothly, his head bobbing along the surface, just high enough that his nostril could take in air, but the rest of him hid in that dark world below the surface. His pale hair floated about his face, more like silk than anything. He drew near enough to see the girl in her pretty satin and fancy shoes... Krait grew shy and did not venture closer. He bobbed slightly and paddled in place, straining to make out their words.

NEW RP
Kyler had his hands in his pockets, shuffling his feet across the dirt path just outside the wall. It was a huge thing, he tried to climb up it some, only managing to get so far before he slid down. Kyler wanted a better view to see the city.
Pulling out a small pouch, Kyler reached inside and pulled out a candy. HE wasn't sure what it was called, but he really liked them, and sucked it past his pointy teeth and into his mouth. Sucking on it quietly and walking further, he heard a crashing sound, something loud and noisey. Walking further, the noise got louder and her found himself at a large pool of water. He saw the waterfall and understood the noise now. It was like his tap, but bigger, bigger equals louder.
Kyler rolled the candy around his mouth and peered at the stone man in the water as he sat down. He didn't know they swam, but he waved anyway and looked down in the water.
