He had forgotten to close the curtains around his bed and there was light streaming in on his face. He sat up in bed and rubbed his face and yawned. Why was it that on the weekends when one could sleep in your body wouldn't let you?

Dorian stretched and got out of bed, making a dash for the bathroom. There he splashed cold water on his face and yelped in alarm. Now that he was awake he grabbed a toothbrush and brushed his teeth so he wouldn't have bad morning breath and took a look at his hair in the mirror. Man was it wild this morning. He thought ruefully.

He walked back to the dorm room where he grabbed up his brush and ran it through his bed hair. In a few moments his hair was tamed down and not such a crazy sight. Then he went through his wardrobe to figure out what to wear for the day. It took him all of five minutes to pick out his dark purple jeans and his favorite green shirt with the red collar. As he was pulling his tennis shoes on he realized he hadn't heard a peep out of his normally very whiny cat.

He glanced around, his eyebrows furrowing. Just where had Remy gone off to? That's when he noticed one of the other boys who had gotten up already had left their dorm room door open. "Great, why can't people shut the bloody door?" he muttered in annoyance.

Remy never failed to go out exploring when people left the door open. He sighed and went off in search of his cat.

Abigale was sitting in the common room by herself that morning, bored that everyone liked to sleep so late when they should be up doing something productive. And she continued to think that, even if she, herself, was doing nothing productive in the least. The novel she had been reading was sitting beside her on the couch, ignored, and she was staring into the empty fireplace with an extreme look of boredom. Or, she had been until she saw the dark, furry tail sneak under a nearby couch.

'Oh,' she thought, getting up to get a closer look. 'Someone's cat has escaped their room.' Even though she was a bit concerned- she wanted a cat of her own some day soon, and didn't want for it to run wild like some of the others- she wasn't planning on trapping the thing to return it. It wouldn't have been wise- the thin, faint scars across her forearm told her that- but perhaps she could guide it back to the dorms, or at least figure out who's cat it was.

As she got close enough to make out the cat's coat, the wall leading into the dungeon slid open, and the cat darted out of the common room as an older student made his was in. She stood from her crouched position and glared at the upperclassman, who only scoffed and glared right back, before making his way to his room. "You let the cat out, you know." She shot at his retreating back, but he just huffed, and made a rude gesture at her without turning back around.

Dorian was aghast when he saw the older student leave the dungeon door open long enough for Remy to escape. He clenched his fists at his side and felt his face go read. Any second now and his left eyebrow would start twitching and show just how angry he really was.

What annoyed him the most was that someone had told him and he hadn't thought to do anything about it. "What a jerk," He muttered walking over to the blonde haired girl. "Thanks for trying to help," He sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair.

Then he looked back at her, "You wouldn't be interested in helping me catch Remy would you?"

Abby watched the younger boy walk down the stairs, and after thinking for a moment, she remembered how she knew of him. Dorian, owner of the pretty star-speckled cat that had just escaped. She had seen them together before around the common room, and knew him to be a second year, and fairly friendly. She nodded to him as he walked over, in complete agreement with his statement. She sent another quick glare at the hallway, even though the upperclassman was long gone.

"I am sorry that it did nothing." She replied to him, glancing at the now closed common room wall. She watched him sigh and tilted her shoulders towards him in an apologetic manor. She smiled at him slightly and tilted her head in agreement. "I would love to help you in your search." She looked back at the couch where her book lay, rejected. "We do not want Remy getting lost, after all."

Dorian smoothed his tell tale eyebrow out, glad that for once it hadn't started twitching and glanced down at the younger girl. He was sure he had seen her around before, but her name escaped him. Something..King wasn't it?

"Well you did what you could. Remy tends to like to run off on me whether or not someone opens the door, the little stinker. I swear I've seen him frolicking on the school grounds during class, even after I've shut him in. I think he's an escape artist." he confided in the other girl.

He was rather glad when the girl, said she'd help him. What was her name again? It started with an A, he thought and caught her quick glance at the couch and peered over her shoulder. Ah..he had interrupted her reading. He frowned.

"Well thank you, hopefully we can catch him quick enough and then you can get back to your book, Miss King." He said, not wanting to admit he had forgotten her first name.

It was on the tip of his tongue, but it just wouldn't come! He hated when that happened.

Dorian strode over to the common room door and opened it, holding it open for the younger girl. "After you."
