Tell us your Transformers story.
(again, if you've already posted your story in the subforum, please do so again in this thread. Thank you!)

My first foray into TF was back in the late 90's when Beast Wars was being aired on telly when I was about 6 or 7. Then somehow I forgot about it during my teenage years (I blame the Legacy of Kain games ninja ), until about a year ago when my brother started to sell off his old BW figures and I decided to watch an episode for nostalgia's sake. At which point I fell in love with them all over again.

Hungry for more, I did a search on the internet to see if I could find other TF stuff to fangasm over. I've watched all of BW and Beast Machines, most of G1, and Prime is on my to watch list. I also mean to procure some of the MTMTE comics, as people on DA seem to be spazzing out over them, and some of the better made action figures.

So yeah, if my brother had saved a little more when he was in university, I may not have been reintroduced into this world of awesome! 3nodding

Well, it all started in the 90's when i was really young. It was all a blur, but i remember watching BWs. Then in 2007 when the movie came out, i just became a nerd from then. I watched all 3 movies, I bought Transformers War for Cybertron for the DS (Both Autobot and Deceptcon) and The are my favorite DS games, then i bought Transformers WFC for the XBox 360, and was completely amazed on how awesome it was. I recently started watching the original cartoons (More than meets the eye). Even more recently, I bought Transformers Fall of Cybertron. It is the best game ever, of all time.

It all started back in the 90's with watching the reruns of G1 and reading the kids books based off the show. Next thing I know bam Beast Wars started and I got truly hooked. You never know how small they are until you see that Megatron is smaller then G1 Prime's head. Got many Transformer toys from this time period. Soon it was back to Cybertron for Beast Machine. It was ok got some of the toys from them too. As always back to Earth for Transformers: RID. It was interesting seeing Prime as a fire engine. It set a different pace and it was really good. Now for the fun part of once again back to Earth (Armada) then Earth again (Cyberton) and then all over the place (Energon). Man there are a lot of Transformer in the universes. Next was the I'm not sure what they were thinking (Animated) show. Only watched maybe two eps. Its hard to watch. Now i'm watching Prime whenever I can. It is good so far. The games have dotted my journey from Armada to the first movie game (sill need to play other 2) to War for Cyberton (greatness) and im waiting to play Fall of Cyberton. I've also seen all 4 movies, the G1 and the 3 Bay films. Try to read the books and comics when I can and look up info on the internet when I can.

I thought the same about Animated at first, but when you watch it it's actually HILARIOUS in places. Plus, Animated Prowl is awesome, as are all the Starscreams.......then again, I /would/ think that, since Starscream is my favorite in any incarnation (excapt possibly Bayverse, gah DORITO.)

I'm SeekerStar, and I'm a TransFan. I play in an online roleplay called a MUSH, where I play several canon characters and an original, I write fanfic (though, um, it's not for all audiences, heh), and all that.

If I had to choose a favorite, it may likely be Prime; the story is awesome, Megatron is delightfully insane, and Soundwave is badass.

Yes, I prefer the 'Cons. biggrin

Nearly everyone started in the 90s! Well, I was born at the tail end of the 90s (199 cool . I didn't start getting into Transformers until the summer of last year; I don't quite remember if it was before or after Dark of the Moon. I had enjoyed the first two Bay movies, but my interest stopped there. Then I started browsing the Transformers fanfiction archive, and that sparked my interest further. I looked for Transformers on the television and found Transformers Prime.
I still remember the first episode I watched: Crisscross. I thought it was the weirdest/best thing I'd ever seen. I had no idea what was going on plotwise, but I understood which characters were which. At that time, I thought Jack was the ugliest thing I had ever laid eyes on (he kind of still is).
Then I started watching G1, and even though I was absolutely convinced that it was the worst show ever, I loved it to death.
From then on, I simply browsed the web and library, learning more and more about the franchise. For a long while, I confused Animated with Armada. Then I learned the difference, and I love Animated.
I was drawn into the franchise because I wanted to know all the secrets, all the jokes, all the feels.
I still have a lot to read, play and watch, but I'm doing my best.

@SeekerStar: Nice to meet. Closest I've come to trans roleplay is when I make up stories for my son and I to play off of with our toys or when I make back stories for characters I make on the games.

eek Some one gives Starscream some love eek I agree on the dorito chip comment.

I'm more of a Dinodots fan.

I would say favorite may be Beast Wars.

I prefer Dinosaur based Trans no matter what side they are on.

@Engineer: You still need some Beast Wars on your plate.

If ever anyone gives Starscream some love, that'd be me. //points at username

Even though he's an annoying glitch. heart heart heart

Not too fond of Beast Wars, mainly because they messed up Silverbolt.....and I like the Aerialbots as much as I'd like any 'Bot.

I thought Silverbolt was cool and it was nice to get away from main characters of G1. Dinobot was greatness with his code of honor and his last stand showed he could kick butt with the best of them.

I've had transformer toys since before I was old enough to spell the word transformers. I've been creating OC's based on the various transformer universes since I first saw beast wars. Up until I was 16 I was allowed to collect the figures and toys and then after than my parents took them to the dump without telling me. Haven't owned a transformer toy since, much to my dismay.

That is about the extent of it.

I am currently creating a set of 14 related autobots that constitutes a family that lives on earth in secret, hiding not only from the war but also from those fighting in it. If anyone wants to know more about said possible fan fiction, I might eventually put it in the proper section, provided this guild proves to still be alive.

Nuuu! emotion_0A0 I bet you were angry when they did that!

I might be interested in seeing what you've got. Sounds like a somewhat different take on the usual 'robots in disguise' with their black and white sense of morality - which is a nice change. So many people are so eager to jump on the Autobot/Decepticon bandwagon, that they forget that there are a myriad shades of grey between the absolutism those two factions represent.

Oh, and this guild is pretty quiet. I do try to pop my head in every-so-often, though; just to try and make sure the guild doesn't totally die.

I don't have very many of the family finished, but this guy is my personal favorite, so far...

Tread-Quake: Tread-Quake is the largest of all of Drill-Jaw’s children; dwarfing his own father by leaps and bounds. Tread-Quake is a titan class autobot who stands 200ft tall in his bot mode and weighs well over 500 tons. His alt mode is a mobile N.A.S.A. launch pad/shuttle carrier. Born from the parts of over 100 average sized decepticons, he is built tougher than most, having to withstand his own weight while in motion and withstand incredible amounts of force. He is of a long legged, long armed, narrow bodied build; being lean and gangling. He is very young, a mere 50 years old, and appears to be little more than a teenager despite his incredible size. Despite his size he is very fast and agile, and completely lacks weapons of any kind. Instead he has the ability to generate two kinds of shields that can either block attacks and cloak him from view, or allow him to run faster and jump higher safely. He tends to use the latter the most, since he is a very energetic young Autobot, inexperienced and full of youthful energy. He spends most of his time in his alt mode as he was ordered by his father to be careful about the damage he can cause. Tread-Quake isn’t exactly the smartest bot around, but he is far from stupid. However he is inexperienced in both combat and life matters, and so is often in trouble with his father. He is often Reprimanded by his closest sister: Scrap-Might.

and to explain who scrap might is...

Scrap-Might: Scrap-Might is the smallest and kindest of the thirteen. She is built not just from dead cybertronian parts, but also from earth technology. Her spark and spark chamber are the largest cybertronian parts of her. When she was given new life, Her Father was attempting to use earth technology to make compatible bodies for his children. It didn’t exactly work out. Drill-Jaw had failed to obtain a wide variety of earth technologies, and so had limited parts to work with. He had Regena Eterna obtain the materials for him, and because of earth’s laws, it was difficult to obtain the materials necessary. All she managed to obtain in the 4 months she was given amounted to: a single large tractor tire, thirteen cell phones, one video camera, one small motor, and a suspension spring. At the time Drill-jaw thought such a small amount of materials was not enough, but rather than scold his daughter, he improvised using the materials she had gathered and spare parts from a decepticon drone he had killed in years past. The body he created was a strange one wheeled vehicle: a Monocycle or a motorcycle where the driver rides inside the one wheel. Though this monocycle had cybertronian accents. However at first her spark and her new found body were not compatible. The alt form would not move at her will, and her spark chamber would not fully integrate. Her father resolved this with a massive infusion of energon, and the result was that her spark and spark chamber fully integrated. Still it was some time before she transformed out of her alt mode for the first time. She has two long legs, a long lean body, and two long lean arms with long curved forearms and fingers. Her legs are digitigrades, with four curved toes at the end of each leg in an arrangement shaped like an X. Each of her long and curved forearms ends in a seven fingered three thumbed hand. Each segment of each digit on each of her hands is curved and blade like. Scrap-Might’s torso is lightly armored with curving sections of rim and tire and her back as two small wings made from the steering system of her alt mode. Most of the curving portions of her body are made from sections of steel reinforced tire and rim. Her head is humanoid, with a single central solid white optic in the upper half of the front of her head and a second in same location on the back of her head that are covered by a one way mirrored armor plate. As a result she appears blind, but in fact has very good vision. The fact of the matter is, you’ll be hard pressed to attack her from any direction. She has remarkably good audio sensors and because her eyes are permanently covered, and are located on the front and back of her head, she has blind spots on the sides of her head and so is often seen turning her head side to side, as if listening for something. In reality she is coping for her blind spots.

Let me know what you think.

Looks pretty good so far! 3nodding Which Transformers universe are you setting your characters in, though? From their descriptions, I'd guess TF Prime?

I should really do some write-ups of my own characters. sweatdrop
