"I got it!" Leoben shouted, eyes firmly following the Frisbee flying overhead. It's pulling ahead, he noticed, quickening his pace. It wasn't a hard throw, it really wasn't. It was just the wind carrying the Frisbee, which truly was half the fun of this game. The wind kept whipping on his back strong and stronger and as it did, the Frisbee kept getting further and further ahead, pushing back towards the castle.

"C'mon!" Leoben muttered to himself, urging his legs to go faster. The wind just kept blowing the Frisbee further ahead. I'm going to get that sucker! He thought, determined. The gap closed. "Bloody--" Leoben hissed to himself, if he kept this up, he was going to end up hitting the castle wall.

In one last attempt, Leoben lunged towards the Frisbee. As soon as he felt the Frisbee make contact with his hand, he clasped down and quickly twisted his body then--SMACK. His back rammed into the back of the castle, but the scrape didn't matter. He got the Frisbee. "WHOOHOO!" He shouted to the other Gryffindor boys, the biggest grin on his face. Leoben was met by a series of loud cheers from their end. As he laughed with them, Leoben took the Frisbee and whipped it back in their direction.

Finally, he had some time to catch is breath. "Haa...." He breathed with the same boyish grin on his face. He pushed back his blonde hair with his hand and just looked towards the other Gryffindor boys, who were racing after the Frisbee that Leoben threw. "It's getting away!" Leoben yelled at them, still grinning.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Aglaia had been watching the Gryffindor boys playing frisbee on the Hogwart's grounds and shivering from the onslaught of the wind. Man..it was getting rather cold. She wondered if a storm was brewing, it sure smelled like it.

She pulled her coat tighter around her as she watched the tall blond boy race after the frisbee as it got closer and closer to the castle. It looked as though he was going to race head first into the castle! Finally at the last moment, he spun around and hit the castle with his back but managed to snatch the frisbee.

Aglaia winced, wondering how he could act as though it didn't hurt him. She bite the end of her fingernails with worry as she watched him catch his breath. He appeared to be okay, so she was glad for that. She brushed the stray hairs from her braid that blew into her face and shuddered. It was getting colder, it would probably be smart to go inside soon.

As she turned, the wind caught up the end of her scarf, which had gotten loosened and was torn off of her neck. Aglaia turned around and tried to catch it, but only managed to brush the end of it with her fingertips as it was whipped away by a huge gust of wind.

"No not my Scarf!" She yelled over the wind. "Hey someone catch it before it gets taken away!"

Just as Leoben was about to run back to the other Gryffindors when another large gust of wind pushed against him. "Dang, it's windy!" He exclaimed, trying to keep his hair out of his eyes. When his vision cleared, Leoben caught sight of a scarf... flying. On its own. Leoben's eyes narrowed at it before he heard a girl scream, "I got it!" He responded, starting at the scarf with a trot.

As he did, though, another strong wind flew threw the grounds, sweeping the scarf higher. "Ah," Leoben ran underneath the scarf, knowing exactly where it was going. And just as he thought, the scarf planted itself in one of the few trees in the grounds. "Wooooow," Leoben couldn't help but be in awe. Of all the luck!

His pace slowed when he reached the trunk of the tree, his hands holding the back of his head as he caught his breath. He took a glance at the girl and gave her a reassuring smile, "Gimme a second, it's pretty high up..." He told her, circling around the tree to find the best way up. There wasn't a lot of branches that he could reach... At least it's a challenge!

"And up we go," Leoben started at the tree with a run, planting his foot on the curve of the trunk before pushing himself up to one of the branches. His fingers scraped against the rough bark before Leoben could actually get a firm grip--he could feel his hands stinging. As soon as he was secure on the branch, Leoben used his feet to push up the trunk. Once a few feet higher, Leoben was able to maneuver one of his hands to a new branch and pull himself into a sitting position on the branch that caught the girl's scarf.

"Almost there," He called down to the girl as he pushed himself further along the branch. Hm... this doesn't seem stable! He thought, cracking his fingers to loosen them a bit. As much as he didn't want to be, Leoben was right. Just as soon as he touched the scarf, the branch gave an unnerving crack and Leoben felt himself falling. "Bloooddyyy--" He exclaimed, quickly grabbing the scarf before he fell from the tree.

When he landed, pain resonated up from his feet. "Yikes," He muttered with a grimace, "I got your scarf though!" Leoben said, shaking out both of his legs as he offered the scarf back to the Gryffindor girl. "Aglaia, right?" I think I saw her in one of my classes...

Aglaia gave chase after her scarf, though she wasn't as swift a runner as Leoben was. She had finally remembered the boy's name, she didn't know why she didn't remember sooner. She saw him practically every day in the common room and in class.

She nearly stumbled and fell flat on her face but managed to catch herself. She stopped running and caught her breath watching as Leoben chased after her scarf. She couldn't help but admire how smoothly he ran, he looked like a deer.

Aglaia was a bit annoyed to see that her scarf had snagged in one of the tallest trees on the grounds. She followed behind Leoben and then stopped to look up the tree, her arms automatically folding over her chest. "Are you sure you want to climb up there? What if you fall?" She asked feeling a bit frightened. Perhaps she should go find a teacher and see if they could give some help.

She squeaked in alarm as he to run straight towards the tree, it looked as though he was going to slam face first into it! She sighed with relief when he somehow managed to run up the tree and grab hold of a branch and pull himself up into the tree. Gods..he looked like a monkey of sorts. He sure knew how to climb.

Aglaia wrung her hands worriedly as he continued to climb further and further up the tree trying to get closer to her errant scarf that was fluttering in the gusty wind. "Be careful!" She called up as loudly as she could. "You don't need to get hurt over a silly scarf."

Just as she finished saying this, she heard the branch he was sitting on break and she cried out in alarm. Somehow, even in the middle of falling he had managed to grab onto her scarf and he brought it down with him. She realized she was right under him, and moved out of the way at the very last moment.

"Are you sure you're okay?" she asked bending over him in alarm.
She could have sworn she had heard a snap from something in his body. "Yes I see that, thanks for that. Are you hurt?" She asked again taking the scarf from him.

She quickly wrapped the scarf around her neck, tying it securely against the strong wind and offered him a hand. "Yes, that's me. It's Leoben Linwood right? Need a hand up?"

"Why thank you," Leoben grinned, about to use her hand to prop himself up. When he extended his palm, however, he stopped short. It was bleeding a bit--"Ah, I got it," he pushed himself off the ground so he wouldn't get blood on her hands. "Thanks for offering though--I didn't want you to get dirty," He rubbed his fingers against his pants to get off some of the grit. "I'm fine, really. I'm made of tougher stuff than this," He told her with a boyish grin.

As he did so, he saw a few of his Gryffindor classmates come running towards him. "Hey Leoben, you halfwit," One said as soon as they got close enough.

"Hey now," Leoben rolled his eyes, trying to keep his focus off the Frisbee, which he quickly slipped out of one of the boy's hands when he wasn't paying attention. Leoben gave a laugh at the boy, proud of himself.

"Fine, you grabbed a Frisbee from me. But c'mon, you need to remember we're wizards" One of the more intelligent boys said, taking out his wand. "Wingardium Leviosa!" He said--Leoben let the Frisbee float up from his hands.

For a second he just stared at it dumbly, "Oh yeah," Leoben said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "But we're not allowed to use magic, punkkkk," he reminded, grabbing the Frisbee back with a jump.

"No one follows that, dude," Another Gryffindor said, rolling his eyes similarly. "So are we going to keep standing around her or get back to Frisbee?" The boy inquired, laughing as one of the other Gryffindors snaked behind Leoben and took the Frisbee back. "C'mon, let's get back to the game!"

Leoben shook his head in amusement as the boys ran back to their game. He paused a bit before glancing at Aglaia, "Do you want to join us? It'll be fun!" Now that she got her scarf back, why not? The more the merrier!

Aglaia frowned when he pulled his hand back and then noticed that it was bleeding. "Hey now, if it's bleeding you should get someone to fix it." She said putting her hands on her hips. She pulled them off a moment later and gave him a small smile. He was so cute! He had actually thought about not getting her dirty. Most boys, especially her younger twin brothers were never that conscientious. "Oh well thank you, I appreciate that. Hold on, I probably have something you can put on that. You don't want dirt to get into the cut, it will only cause an infection." She scolded and began to riffle through her bag.

"Ah here, give me your hand." She said pulling out a band aid and holding her hand out for his.

She shot an annoyed glance at the boys that approached them and distracted Leoben. She did however agree with them..he could have used a spell instead of banging into the castle wall. She still wondered if he had hurt it or not.

Why did boys have to goof off so much? She thought dryly as she watched Leoben goof off with the other boys. She was rather stunned when Leoben turned and asked her if she wanted to play with them. She tucked some stray hairs behind her ears hoping she wasn't blushing. "Umm well..I'd probably be too slow for your lot. It looks as though you guys like to play rough, and I'd probably just mess you up."

"Oh, c'mon." Leoben started, an ear to ear grin on his face, "These guys aren't that fast--plus, don't tell them I said this, but they're really all just a bunch of wimps..." He leaned in closer to her, as if telling a secret.

"HEY! I heard that!" One of the boys shouted from afar.

Leoben leaned further away from Aglaia (so she didn't get him yelling in her ears) before responding, "I wanted you to!"

He then turned his attention back to Aglaia, extending out his hand to bandage him up--she seemed pretty adamant about it and who was Leoben to argue? His siblings always did bicker at him for being to careless with his injuries! "Thank you--I don't think I'm worth your medication though!" He told her with a laugh--after all, what use was it if Leoben was just going to rip up his hands even more while playing Frisbee? If it makes her feel better, though, why not. "But anyway, I think you'll do great," He commented, resting his free arm on the top of his head. Once she was done with one hand, he rotated his arms so she could clean up the other. "It'll be a lot of fun, I promise--you can even be on my team!" Leoben had that same boyish grin on his face as earlier.

"We're not playing teams!" The same nosy boy yelled again.

Leoben rolled his eyes, "Shut your pipe--or do you think you can't beat Aglaia and me?" He inquired, knowing that a lot of these guys thought girls were weak--all he had to say to that was this: they should see his sister. "Unless you guys are afraid?" He egged them on, a bit of a twinkle in his eye as he did.

While they shouted "bring it on"s and other competitive slanders, Leoben turned back go Aglaia. "Shall we go? Unless you really don't want to play... But between you and me, I think we can take these guys," There was a reassuring smile on his face as he spoke to her--with Aglaia on his team, Leoben was almost certain they could win, not to mention, it would be fun for both of them.

Aglaia found Leoben's smile infectious and couldn't help but smile back at him while he begged her to play with them. She giggled as one of the boys yelled back that he had heard what Leoben had said about them.

"Well if you think I can keep up I guess I can try. Just don't get mad if I throw the dang thing wrong. I've never really used a frisbee before." Her insides were acting all strange, more than likely a reaction to this boy's closeness to her. She had never had a boy lean in so close. She closed her eyes slightly and imagined him kissing her. She wondered what it would feel like.

Aglaia laughed again when Leoben retorted back to the other boys, though her arms were getting a little tired from holding the band aid out for so long. She was relieved when he finally gave in and held out his hand to her. "That's ridiculous!' She snorted. "Everyone is worth a bit of attention."

Aglaia felt her insides flutter as he once again reassured her that she'd do great. "Well thanks," She replied with a grin of confidence. "If you keep building me up like this I'll be as high as my scarf was!" She joked.

Aglaia found herself getting annoyed with the boy that was interrupting them. She opened up her mouth to tell him that she didn't care what he thought when Leoben did it for her. He was such a nice boy! She held back a laugh as he egged on the other boys. And was he ever cocky!

"Yes let's!" She said eagerly, feeling ready to show those boys a thing or two. "I bet we can beat their socks off!' She proclaimed a sudden fire coming into her eyes.

Leoben grinned at Aglaia when she agreed to play with him, "Let's go then," he said, trotting over to the rest of the guys--he glanced back, however, to make sure Aglaia was in tow behind him. Once he saw that she was, Leoben turned back to the other Gryffindor guys. "Okay, this is how it's going to be," he began, waving them towards him. "We're going to be playing ultimate Frisbee using..." Leoben glanced around, "Those two trees as one of the goals and the entrance way to the school," he indicated, pointing to each.

"You three guys can do the throw off," Leoben told them, "Now hurry up and get to the goal." The other three Gryffindors ran towards the goal, leaving Aglaia and Leoben in the middle of the field.

Just in case Aglaia didn't know the rules of ultimate Frisbee, Leoben explained, "What they're doing right now is called the throw off. All of their team needs to behind the goal and they're going to be trying to throw as far away from their own goal as possible--see the trees there? That's our goal so we need to be moving the Frisbee to the entrance way." He used his fingers to indicate where he was talking to. "In case you've never played before, you're not allowed to move when you have the Frisbee--you just need to throw it to move... and in order to score a goal, someone needs to catch the Frisbee behind the goal--Ah, shoot. Here it comes!" Just as Leoben was finishing his explanation, the Frisbee was flying towards them and over their heads.

"I think I can get that!" Leoben shouted to Aglaia, running back some before snatching the Frisbee from the air. "Aglaia, move out some!" Leoben advised, throwing the Frisbee to her with pretty good accuracy. As soon as the Frisbee left his hand, Leoben ran closer to the entrance of the school--trying to get open so Aglaia could throw to him.

The other three Gryffindors were getting on them any second now.

Aglaia shot a smile back at Leoben and followed after him. Thankfully she stayed active enough that she could keep up with his fast pace. She hoped that she wouldn't cause him to lose, especially after his telling the other boys that they would beat them.

Aglaia came to a stop and nervously pushed some of her stray hair behind her ear and listened carefully to Leo's explanation. It sounded simple enough. She could probably keep up with this game, if she remembered not to move when she got the frisbee.

"Sounds easy enough." She said and then flinched when the frisbee went right over their heads. "ACK!" She cried leaping away. She was a bit miffed that she hadn't been ready for it. But at least Leoben was right on top of it and had managed to snatch it.

"Good catch!" She called to him. She ran back, trying to keep her eyes on the oncoming frisbee. She managed to grab the frisbee as it wobbled down to her and she nearly went down tripping over a rock. "Ouch! Dratted rock!" She said kicking the rock out of the way. She could see that the three other boys were barreling towards her. She nearly squeaked in alarm and then spotted Leoben a little further away.

She was relieved that the wind was going in the direction she had to throw the frisbee and waited until the three boys were nearly on her before she winged it off as hard as she could into the gust of wind that was blowing around her. The wind caught it and carried it a good ten feet, taking it up a good six feet in the air.

"Catch it!" She screamed, and started running towards the arch way so that she'd be there when and if Leoben caught the frisbee.

Leoben slowed his pace a little when he saw Aglaia stumble and held his breath, hoping that she wouldn't end up flat on her face. "YES!" He exclaimed, doing a little fist pump when he saw her regain her balance, the frisbee in his hand. Nice! He thought, quickly regaining his pace back towards the entrance of the school.

The wind sped up the Frisbee and Leoben pranced back and forth until it picked a direction it wanted to fall towards. As soon as he saw the opportunity, Leoben crouched to the ground and jumped high, grabbing the Frisbee with one hand. When he landed, he took one glance and spotted Aglaia near the arch way. "Fooooooreee!" He shouted, flicking his wrist quickly, sending the Frisbee towards Aglaia and the arch way. If she caught it, the game would be theirs!

But before the Frisbee floated its way to Aglaia, a loud bell sound rang throughout the grounds. It marked the end of class. "Oh, 'ell!" Leoben shouted--not only did that mark the end of class, but it marked the end of their break! "We're late!" Leoben exclaimed, running towards the archway towards Aglaia. "C'mon," he said, whether or not Aglaia had the frisbee, grabbing her hand and starting in a run towards their Charms classroom. The other Gryffindor boys were just a bit ahead of them.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 21, 2012 7:49 am

Aglaia heard Leoben's yell and turned around just in time to see the frisbee once more coming her way. It looked a little high, but perhaps if she jumped she might just be able to catch it. She waited until nearly the last second to launch herself as high as she could go and stretched her arm as high as it would go. She felt the edge of the frisbee hit her middle finger and it spun around once before she managed to grasp it with the rest of her fingers.

"I got it!" She yelled triumphantly and held it aloft as she danced around happily. While she heard the bell, it didn't really register with her what it meant until Leo grabbed her and pulled her along with him.

"Oh great! I hate being late to class!" She cried in annoyance, somehow managing to keep up with Leo's long legs. "That was a good game though, wasn't it?" She asked nearly breathless.

Leoben was so preoccupied with running to class that he didn't even notice he was going too fast until Aglaia spoke, clearly out of breath. With that, he slowed his speed and looked at her with a huge grin, "Oh yeah, we creamed them," He gave a triumphant smile and gave her a light pat on the back (mostly force of habit, y'know, smackin' guys on the back...) "You'll have to partner up with me more often."

Leoben was still happy about winning by the time they arrived at their next class. The other boys were there ahead of them, looking a bit winded. Leoben didn't mind that he slowed his pace for Aglaia, however. Being late to class wasn't that big of a deal. When they arrived at the door, Leoben release Aglaia's hand in order to open the door for her. "After you," he whispered, entering the class shortly after.

They were scolded by the professor, of course, when they entered late. But then they went to their respective seats in the class. Before parting with each other, Leoban gave her a wave goodbye. "See you later!" he said in a hushed voice, ignoring the professor's annoyed face.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 21, 2012 10:48 am

Aglaia was grateful when Leo slowed his pace so she could keep up easier. She shot a happy grin back at him. "We sure did!" She replied happily. I can't wait to play again!" She was surprised by the pat on her back but didn't object to it. It was actually pretty nice to complimented and to get a congratulatory back pat. It was one of her best days so far.

Aglaia was so high on her happiness that she was skipping alongside Leoben and didn't even mind that she was late to class. She was rather saddened when Leo let go of her hand and then happy once more when he opened the door for her. "Thank you Leo," She said with a shy smile, before she tried to sneak into the classroom.

Aglaia stiffened and went red in the face when the professor scolded her. She bowed her head and started to head to her seat scuffing her shoes as she went. Why must the darn professors take the joy out of life? She wondered dismally as she started to walk away from Leo. She looked back up at him when she heard him speak to her. "Okay," She replied with a small smile and a wave of her own.

Then she made her way over to a seat near the front and slide into it. That's when she remembered she had left her bag by the side door of the main hall. "Drat," She muttered and then in a soft whisper asked her seat mate for some writing supplies.

Class began with her head still filled with the wonders of the outdoors, and one particular blonde haired boy, though her body was stuck indoors in a boring dreary class.
