Personality: Kiya is quite, observant, and always lurking in the shadows. She is very good at reading a situation and acting accordingly. Not only that, but her instincts and reflexes are top notch. She can nearly always sense when something bad is about to happen, it's just a matter of being fast enough to react. Along with being observant, Kiya can also think on her toes and usually talk her way out of situations. Her life on the street has made her very good at that. Kiya is also very mature for her age, and people usually have a hard time guessing it by just what she says. She has also been told that she gives great advice, though, in her eyes, she's just being blunt and perfectly honest. When it comes to fighting, Kiya is a no holds barred kind of fighter, she was taught to fight to survive, and that is what she's been doing her entire life, and that wasn't about to change.
Even though Kiya has learned how to mask her emotions to a near professional point, that doesn't mean that she doesn't have any emotions period (contrary to popular belief). She is usually a kinder soul, even though she can appear very rough and gruff and uncaring. She always looks out for kids like her, alone, abandoned, barely surviving on their own. Anything that lives like this in fact gains a small portion of Kiya's heart. Though, she can usually turn a rough, cold shoulder of distaste to those who think they are "better" then her. Kiya doesn't remember very much from her history. After the "accident" she doesn't really remember much of all from her life beforehand. The accident completely rendered her heart stone cold, and her unfeeling. It was a dark day when it happened, and it went something like this:
Kiya was walking in the woods, as it was one of her favorite past times, though, she had had a feeling that the day was off ever since she left the house. When she had come back from her little adventure, she waved to the gate ANBU. After going through customs, which seemed pointless to Kira then, considering she went in and out of the gates all the time, she went home. Though, a horror would be awaiting her there. A horror that would scare her for the rest of her life, turning her into a shell of her former, happy, carefree self.
It was a bit on the darker side, considering the sun was about to set, when Kiya was skipping home. Though, when she rounded the bend to the small shake that her and her parents called home she knew something was off. Her and her parents had always been happy with what they had, even though it was mostly table scraps. Kiya was happy though, and couldn't fathom a life better then what she had currently. Though, apparently, her father felt differently. Kiya's father was a gentle, caring man on the inside, even though he didn't look it on the outside. He was always thinking of ways to make life better for his "little girl" though, this time, he had gone too far.
Kiya would find out after the accident that her father was in a great bit of debt with a local "shark". Apparently, he had borrowed more cash then what he could afford to pay back, and this didn't make his cash supplier very happy when he came to collect. That night, when she saw the men in her "house" was the night Kiya's life crumbled.
There were three of them, from what she could tell, and they were ransacking her house. Everything was overturned and broken, what little possessions they had, shattered. The Cash Shark (who was clearly the ring leader of the whole event) was shouting at his men orders. Kiya was barely able to climb up on a crate to peek into her window, and she saw what had happened. Two men were fighting her dad, and, when it was all done, he was dead, nearly gutted, on the floor. Blood splattered around the room. Then her mom came in.
Her mom screamed, which was bad. She alerted the men to her presence that way. And soon, the men were having their way with her. Kiya tried to scream, tried to cry out for help, but all she could do was watch in horror as the men ravaged her body. Hot tears ran down her cheeks, when they finally slit her mother's half, they fled, knowing full well that the cash wasn't there. Kiya doubted if they even thought the cash was there in the first place. Kiya then rushed into her house.
Her mother lay sobbing on the floor, life slowly draining from her eyes. Kiya ran up to her, collapsing on her knees in front of her mother and father. Her mother couldn't say anything, but, she did manage to give Kiya the necklace around her neck. Amazingly, she had been able to hid it from the men. Handing it to Kiya, the love in her gaze said it all, until it faded. All life, faded.
Kiya was small, but she was able to think up a plan. She didn't want anyone to find out what disgrace had happened here, so, she set to work. Collecting the small amount of oil that her family had, she lit it, and ran. Running from her house, her vision blurry with tears, she would watch as it began to burn. Kiya knew that the shake fire would be viewed as an accident, and the charred bodies of her parents would most likely deem them as "being caught in the fire" and that was when Kiya disappeared.
It's been about five years since the accident happened. And Kira's all the colder because of it. She's become a class A "street rat", stealing what she needs to survive, and for that of the small group of orphans she looked after from time to time. Though, after five years of stealing, Kiya decided she'd had enough of it, and that was when her goal of becoming a Ninja was born. She really didn't have a goal, all she knew was that that was most likely what her parents would want.

Personality: Shikairu is always very nice and is mostly calm in any situation. He is seen as a hero of Konoha, and he lives up to that title considering he fights on the front lines in every battle involving Konoha. He is sneaky and as such he is seen as a perv due to a few situations he was involved in that may or may not have made him look like a pervert. ╫Background Information╫ Bio: Shikairu was born a normal kid, in a loving family. His parents were older when he was born but he was not the first born. Shikairu was ten years younger than his brother and 8 years younger than his sister. Shikairu's father was a Jounin in Konoha, his mother was part of the medical corps. At the age of 6 his brother was promoted to Jounin and his sister remained a Chunnin, and he finally graduated the academy and was promoted to Genin. He went on many missions with his team (Chozen Akimichi, Inomari Yamanaka and their sensei Sasuke Sarutobi) none of the missions in the first two years were to high of a rank, he grew into a stealthy fighter one that not even Sarutobi could predict or find. Shikairu's skills were nearly unmatched in most cases, and with his teammates they were seen as the best group in their class. Shikairu was promoted to Chunnin during the second year in his group, the decision was easy for the Hokage considering Shikairu was better than most Chunnin already. He was his groups leader for two more years before talk of the Chunnin exams starting occurred. In the third year Sarutobi was given a spot as an ANBU member so Shikairu was left to train his team and raise them as their new sensei.
Two weeks before the Chunnin exams Shikairu's team was given a mission it was a C-Rank mission so he figured it would only take a week max to complete. Upon this mission they were told to deliver a top secret scroll to the Mizukage. Shikairu carried the real scroll and Chozen carried a fake as Inomari carried the other fake scroll. They were ambushed not even a day into the journey to Kirigakure, upon which Shikairu already seen coming he already used a clone in his place not even Chozen or Inomari knew about it. Attaching his shadow to his clones the four men who attacked them got caught in Shikairu's Shadow Possession jutsu, Shikairu was against killing so instead he used Shadow Strangle jutsu to force them to pass out. The clone took a sword through the chest and blood ran down the wound due to Shikairu placing a blood pack on the body of his clone to give it a life like death. Chozen and Inomari grew worried thinking it was actually Shikairu and upon death he used one last jutsu, Shikairu rose from his clones shadow as it dispersed. Both Chozen and Inomari hit him for making them worry, continuing forward they were nearing the border of Kirigakure. They were a half a days walk away, deciding to rest Shikairu knew someone had been following them for sometime and even watched the fight that had occurred earlier. Shikairu had set up traps around the area, and even went as far as removing the ground beneath his teammates and set up a trip wire so that if it was tripped the ground would give out beneath them and they would fall into a protected hole.
The mysterious man avoided all the traps in complete darkness and even got to Chozen and Innomari without triggering the trap holes just to find out the scrolls were fake. The man walked out into the open knowing Shikairu was watching him, "Shikairu Nara, I should have known you would be carrying the real scroll so why don't we make this easy and you hand it over without anyone getting hurt." Shikairu still hiding among the shadows used a technique to carry his voice throughout the entire area, "Sasuke Sarutobi, why does it not surprise me that you have turned against the village, I cannot just hand over the scroll but you already knew this. I suppose this is going to turn ugly quickly." Shikairu stopped the technique and Sarutobi had already covered the small area in ash, igniting it fire lit up the area catching trees and bushes on fire. Sarutobi smiled still unable to find him, "your stealth skills are still unmatched, but you still forgot to mask your scent again. As Sarutobi finished speaking he threw a windmill shuriken at the scent the shuriken was enhanced by Sarutobi's chakra to cause extra damage, the shuriken hit a dummy that was filled with explosive tags and senbon exploding on impact the senbon flew in every which direction and some even hit Sarutobi. Injured he laughed, "I see you used our past to get the advantage in this battle, you have grew into a fine shinobi." Shikairu walked out from the shadows and extended his shadow towards Sarutobi, instead of connecting their shadows Shikairu raised it from the ground creating multiple tendrils and attacked him from multiple directions hitting him more than enough times to immobilize Sarutobi. Shikairu sighed "I am sorry things turned out like this, I appreciate what you taught me but at last I have surpassed you sensei this will be our last encounter." Chozen and Inomari came running to the scene only to see Shikairu standing over Sarutobi, they were confused and ran towards them yelling Sarutobi smiled "I believe it will be, you are lucky that you were not asleep otherwise you would end up like your teammates." Shikairu looked over at them his eyes wide open as they both exploded simultaneously dying and sending the explosions towards Shikairu and Sarutobi, Shikairu used an earth style jutsu to raise a slab of earth and protect himself from the explosions. Sarutobi, Chozen and Inomari all died together. Shikairu fell to his knees tears running down his face, emotions ran wild through his head as he walked on and completed the mission he was given, carrying the bodies of all three of his former team he reached Konoha.
Shikairu lived with sadness for two months before overcoming the emotions of loosing his friends, and only three dayss after he finally got over their deaths his mother passed away from old age his father being older than his mother passed away from the shock and emotions of loosing his wife. Shikairu again went into a shocked state now loosing his parents he was hurt and confused at why everyone around him was dying, his brother and sister were the only reason for him not taking his own life. A year passed and his brother was assassinated by an ANBU of a rival village, his Sisiter being there when it happened killed the ANBU member and broke the news to Shikairu only for Shikairu to go to the village and attempt an assassination on the Kage failing only due to his clouded judgement he was not captured nor found he simply returned to Konoha. His sister heard of the assassination attempt and knew it was her brother, after talking to him she had decided since he failed that no harm was done since they didn't see Shikairu so they had no way of knowing who he was or what village he was from.
Two years later Shikairu was promoted to Jounin, and was given his own team to train and raise. His team consisted of Kane Uchiha, Nami Aburame, and Tsume Inuzuka. They all were exceptionally skilled in their areas of combat, with that said they were young and inexperienced, they didn't use their skills to their advantage. Instead they would argue and fight at nearly all times Kane hating Tsume due to some incidents in the academy and Nami being the only girl in the group she wanted to keep them in check and would suck their chakra out of them leaving them nearly unable to move. Shikairu had trouble keeping them in line and there for when they went on their first real mission out of their village he was worried. Kane and Tsume got into an argument after reaching the border of the snow village, with that said Kane went off on his own ignoring Shikairu while Nami sucked the chakra out of Tsume while he was running after Kane in order to attack him. Kane vanished in the distance and Kairu was unable to find him, knowing Kane would turn up he focused on the mission. Nami fell behind after being distracted by a native bug, she had never seen such an insect. Kairu hadn't noticed since she was always silent and always at the back of the group, carrying Tsume he was already sidetracked. Stopping to rest for a bit since the cold was taking its toll on him he knew it was taking its toll on them as well, that is when he noticed Nami was missing now as well. Sighing he waited for them and snow began to cover Tsume and harden into ice, Shikairu attempted to break the ice but to no avail. Shikairu looked up to see both Kane and Nami in the ice as well, he was now at a disadvantage the enemy had his team and Shikairu was not hidden he was forced to attack from plain view.
Shikairu was worried, "what do you want?" The five mysterious masked people only laughed as they forced the ice to implode killing the team of Genin. Shikairu hit the ground knowing he had failed to protect his team once again, he couldn't take it his sadness and depression quickly turned into anger as he vanished from sight it was not due to a jutsu rather it was his speed, hitting the five people one by one they were unable to keep up with his movements after they were bloody and beaten they all began to laugh as they rose another slab of ice from the ground revealing his sister frozen in the ice. He stopped moving as he touched the ice the five people all made a hand sign forcing the ice to explode killing his sister and injuring him to the point that he was thought dead and left to die alone. Shikairu didn't fight death instead he embraced it and fell into a deep sleep, his life was saved by a man that lived nearby. Shikairu awoke looking around he seen the man, not knowing who he was Shikairu used his shadow possession to trap him, "Who are you and where are the others that were dead?" The man didn't answer, "I saved your life and this is how you repay me?" Shikairu forced his shadow up the man and onto his neck, "you have one more chance to answer my question." The man stood up and broke the jutsu with Shikairu still injured his jutsus weren't very strong, "I am Farin, I am a doctor here and I buried your friends in the cemetery behind my house. You were attacked by the Ice Assassins, they are a high leveled group each were ANBU in this village and were seen as the most dangerous shinobi and they betrayed us and formed a group to attempt a rebellion. I was once apart of their group but due to me finding out their intentions I left but was banned from the village which is why I live on the outskirts of the village." Shikairu sighed and decided to stay till he was healed, after that the man told Shikairu where their hideout was but only after Shikairu demanded that he tell him. Shikairu used his stealth to enter their hideout and attack them unseen, one by one he would take his revenge.
Shikairu Walked up the wall of the ice cave, silent and hidden in the shadows. Reaching the roof Shikairu crouched reading himself to attack. The five men stood in conversation unaware of Shikairu's presence, unaware of the possibility of that day being their last. Shikairu lunged down placing each of his fists on the leaders shoulders, extending his claws into the mans shoulders he missed all vital organs and most lethal areas severing one artery he retracted his claws and turned towards the others. "This man will die in 2 minutes from blood loss, if you are unable to get through me to get to him he will die. You have two minutes to fight for not only your own lives but the life of your leader." The men wasted no time in advancing towards Shikairu, using Black Spider Lily to trap three of the four men, one flipped away dodging the shadow. The only man not trapped began making hand signs Shikairu already had distance calculated, flipping backwards he forced the three shinobi caught in his web to flip back and collide with the man canceling his jutsu before it's use. Immediately after landing Shikairu canceled his jutsu and speed towards the group with speeds that matched legends of A and Minato, reaching the men in a blink of an eye as they landed he punched one in the side of the neck extending his claws and cutting the throat of the man, stepping off his knee he propelled himself at another one of the men and punched him in the chest and extended his blades once more through the mans heart. Flipping off the man he placed each hand on the under side of his wrists instantly summoning a windmill shuriken in each hand after launching them towards the two targets he used Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu to make 50 copies of the windmill shurikens. The two men were overwhelmed with shuriken heading towards them, one of the men used an ice justsu to block nearly 20 shuriken the 20th shuriken to hit the ice broke through but lost a majority of its momentum and the man hit it to the ground. Looking over to his partner 15 shuriken were pinning him the the cave wall all of which were stuck through his body out of 30 shuriken that flew towards him only 15 hit their target but it was more than enough to cause death.
The leader looked up with horror in his eyes seeing his dead members he knew moving would kill him but taking revenge was his only goal at this point, making hand signs to use one final jutsu he got to the last hand sign and 5 clones dropped from the ceiling where he once stood and all of the cloned stabbed through him before dispersing. Shikairu looked at the last man and smiled, "you were to late, now it is your turn to join your friends in the afterlife." Shikairu used his speed to get close to the last man, using a technique called Twenty Swords of Death Shikairu extended his blades and circled the opponent creating clones then his clones run the other way creating more clones the opponent surrounded by 5 Shikairu's in a pentagon form, two stabbed the man downwards through the neck and shoulders another two stabbed upwards through the legs 10 more claws from other clones thrust into him from the gaps left between the clones 5 into the mans heart and the other five aimed at his other major organs. Shikairu then stood while all of the men bled out onto the cave floor surrounding him, standing there for a moment he finally walked out of the cave and finished his mission before returning to Konoha.
Shikairu returned to Konoha to find out that the Hokage had died, A meeting of the elders was held and due to Shikairu being head of Military movements in Konoha he was asked to attend the meeting. A vote was held and even after Shikairu told them he was not exactly fit for the position the elders and other high ranking officials in Konoha decided that he was wrong, that he was the best choice for the village. Shikairu was made Hokage and since there had been two attacks on the village both of which where stopped before there was any casualties. Shikairu stopped the attacks almost completely by himself both times, considering the attackers were unable to be stopped by the ANBU forces first Shikairu froze their movements before capturing them. Shikairu is always seen in the village and is almost never in his office instead he leaves a clone in his office until he is absolutely needed.

The day Ayame was born, her father had just died in a war. Being just a newborn, she had no idea what had happened and never thought a thing about him. At five, she decided to ask her mom where her dad is. And if she had one. Her mom started to cry, and without thinking, hugged onto her daughter desperately. Ayame didn't even know what happened, but this caused her tears to travel down her cheeks, as if she knew what happened. Still in a tight hug, her mother told her that he passed away the day she had been born. But to not worry, as she would never leave her alone in this cruel world. Her mother soon got her into the academy, and before long, the mother had been forced to join in the war. One day, Ayame's cell phone rang, and a man answered. He said her mother has passed away at war. And the man told her that her mom had asked told Ayame to stay strong. She soon hung it up, and from that day on, would be the best she could be. Like her mother wanted. Thats what she thought her mom meant anyways.

Personality: In the village, Miharu behaves in a way completely opposite to the way that a normal shinobi should. She's pretty mischievous and loves pulling pranks on people. They're never mean though, she just enjoys having fun and having fun and making people have fun with her. She's loyal to her friends and loved ones, and is very confident in her ability as a shinobi, although some mistake that confidence for an inflated ego. She also really likes to use her stealth training to sneak up on people and scare the crap out of them, even managing to sneak up on some Chuunin and Jounin.
Outside of the village though, she's all business. She takes every mission seriously and, in contrast to being the loudest in the village, becomes the quietest. She can also be rude or disrespectful to her enemies, goading them into doing something stupid, getting sloppy, or tiring themselves out. When she gets back to the village after her missions though, she's back to the kind, fun loving girl she is.

╫Background Information╫ Miharu hates being an Uchiha. She has ever since she learned of her clan's history and how they've brought nothing but terrible things. The only decent Uchiha to live, it seems to her, is someone who died a long time ago, named Obito. She only knows that because all her life she's admired and wanted to be like the ninja Kakashi Hatake, and knows that Obito was his friend and teammate.
Miharu doesn't have a mother. She died a long time ago, when Miharu was only eight years old. When she got news of her dying on her mission, Miharu ran away to a nearbye forest. She needed the quiet. To have some time to herself so she could grieve. She failed to notice, however, that she had entered the forest of death. She didn't realized this until it was too late, and she was being attacked by a monster. A giant snake. Her fear of the snake, and her anguish at the loss of her mother, caused Miharu's sharingan to awaken. Still, even with the sharingan, she was no match for the giant snake. So she ran. She ran until her legs felt like lead, until she could run no more. As the snake caught up to her, she was sure she would die... until her father appeared, killing the giant snake and saving her life.

Battle Strength: Close combat, with his swords and without, as in his taijutsu, but definitely much better with his swords. He's also pretty decent at ninjutsu, especially water and ice jutsu due to Isobu, and is smart, keeping his cool in battle. He is an all around great close to mid range fighter. Being a great close to mid range fighter, he has studied greatly, and trained with shinobi who are masters of kenjutsu and taijutsu. Weapon Class: Custom weapon. Weapon Description: A katana, not a normal katana though. This katana is made out of a unique metal, but Atsui knows nothing about it or where it comes from. What Atsui does know, however, is that the sword used to belong to his mother, the daughter of Haku Yuki, and that the blade was passed down to him.
The katana is beautiful, and has been described by many as one of the most beautiful swords they have ever seen. It is four feet long in length, so is easily wielded with one hand, leaving the other free for Atsui to make one handed seals. It has a rectangular tsuba that has a vaguely flame like pattern on the long sides, with a curved line on the short sides, with inward-curved corners with curved slits above and below the blade and a series of curved lines embossed on either side of the blade. The blade, hilt and tsuba are all completely white. Not an ounce of any other color is found on it. The only other color on it is not even located on the sword itself, but the scabbard, which is dark blue.
This sword is sister to another, that is also in possession of Atsui. However this sword is used mainly for offense while the other is used rarely for defense, which is why it is rarely used at all.

If it cuts a person's arm then it becomes covered in ice. The ice can be shattered with a good hit, but eventually the frozen body part will go numb, being completely useless. The same thing happens if his blade, and his opponent's weapon, no matter what weapon it is, clashes. His opponent's weapon becomes covered in ice, along with his arm. Eventually his opponent's weapon will just shatter from all the stress on it. Tsukishiro no Jutsu (White Moon Jutsu): By calling out the name of this jutsu and slashing the air, a large circle of light will form around a target. When this happens, the circle will freeze everything that touches it. The circle not only freezes the ground but everything within the circle's influence including anything above it, up in the air, creating an extending pillar of light that then freezes all within the circle. Shortly after being frozen, the victim then shatters along with the ice. She is also able to perform this in quick succession and off a wall, launching the beam horizontally. Hakuren no Jutsu (White Ripple Jutsu): Atsui calls out the name of the jutsu, and four bursts of ice build in front of him forming an arc. From his sword held out, a massive, powerful pure-white wave of ice from his sword is fired at the target, in turn encasing the target in a block of ice and shattering it. Shirafune (White Sword): Atsui calls out the name of the jutsu, which allows him to gather moisture in the air to the tip of Hyourinmaru to create a blade of ice. This makes it possible to alter the length of the blade. After piercing its target, it continues to freeze any surrounding objects, including the immediate area. Instead of five feet five inches long like Hyourinmaru, it is slightly shorter at four feet five inches long. It has a blue scabbard just like Hyourinmaru though. Also, while Hyourinmaru is focused more on offense, this sword is focused almost solely on defense.

Personality: Atsui was very shy, quiet, and reserved as a boy. Even more so after he lost his friend, the day after he graduated from the academy. His trust was hard to gain, but once it was then he was always the best friend anyone could ever want.
Now though, after going through what he has gone through, meeting the people he met, and making the friends he made between being a Genin and now, after he's become a Jounin, Atsui is completely different. His normally shy and quiet demeanor became loud, happy, friendly to all those around him except for his enemies. He is fiercely loyal to his loved ones, and will do anything he can to help them when they are in need of it, even a complete stranger.
When in battle though, his attitude completely changes. He becomes calm, cold. To put it simply, he's icy and merciless. Calculating and... mean. Completely the opposite of his normal joking, loving, happy self. The only exception is if his fight is a sparring match, during which he simply enjoys the thrill of the battle.

Atsui's mother is a member of the Yuki clan from the village known as Kirigakure. She is the secret daughter of the long dead Haku, who kept her existence a secret for her own protection. She was eventually found out though, and escaped to Konoha to escape the wrath of those who hated and feared her clan.
Atsui's mother of course eventually married Atsui's father, who was her third husband, and a jounin, and they had him. Her third son as well, although she never again met the other two after escaping to the Leaf.
After being in Konoha for a few years, before Atsui was born, his mother went on a mission. On that mission, she encountered Isobu, the three tailed demon turtle. She barely scraped by that fight with her life, and was forced to seal the slug inside of herself. The seal, as always, greatly weakened as she was giving birth to Atsui. She did not survive, and the beast was forced to be resealed inside of the young boy.
Atsui has always known of his tenant and the day he first found out of it's power is a day he wishes not to remember. In the forest near Konoha, Atsui was having a walk. He often went on these walks, because he enjoys the quiet time. He definitely needed the time to himself on that particular day, for this walk took place on the day he found out about the deaths of two people he held very dear to his heart. His father on his closes friend. On this walk though, he encountered a group of at least one hundred bandits, who had made a camp nearby, planning to attempt to raid the village which they surely would have failed anyways. He was scared and didn't know what to do. In his fear of the bandits, and his rage and sorrow of losing the only two reasons he had to live, he completely blacked out as the bandits advanced on him. When the boy came to, every last one of the bandits had been slaughtered, with parts of the camp completely destroyed and/or frozen. In his fear Isobu had taken over just a little bit. Atsui quickly made his way back to the village, and vowed never to call upon the turtle's power ever again.
Later on though, Atsui discovered as he went on more and more dangerous missions that he could not keep Isobu suppressed forever so he managed to contact the slug. Through their fighting together, and their conversations, they forged a kind of bond, and a partnership. Thanks to this partnership, Atsui can call upon the turtle's power whenever he wishes, even taking the form of the beast himself. Although Atsui prefers not to use his power, saying that he can't rely on Isobu to do everything for him, that if he cannot take care of himself then he doesn't deserve to be Isobu's Jinchuuriki.
Atsui has a very strange name. For Atsui means hot, and Yuki means snow, so therefore his name means Hot Snow? Very weird, but either way his old friend really got a laugh out of it. Yeah, Atsui never had very many friends in the academy, preferring to train by himself and only having the occasional sparring match with others from his class. His only friend, a beautiful girl who was older than him by a year, became a genin one year before him. They were the best of friends, and proved that opposites do indeed attract, his friend being completely outgoing. Everybody loved her, but for some reason it was Atsui, the loner who always kept to himself, who became her best friend. They were inseparable in the academy.
As luck would have it, once his friend became a genin her sensei was Atsui's father. One year later, he himself finally became a genin. The day he graduated, his friend, who's name by the way was Komaru, gave him a graduation present. Two rings. One with the Hidden Leaf Village's symbol of a leaf that is on every Konoha ninja's headband, which Atsui wears on his right middle finger instead of a headband. And also a ring with the kanji for Yuki written on it which he wears on his right ring finger 雪. He treasures these gifts of hers, the only gifts besides his mother's sword that he has ever received. There was another gift she gave him... but that's a more, uh, "private" gift. The very next day though, Komaru and Atsui's father went on a mission with the rest of their squad. They never returned.
Atsui was devastated. He had last his only friend the very day after he had graduated... and had never gotten the chance to tell the one he had loved what he felt about her. On top of that he had lost his father. Atsui became more reserved than ever, and never got out of his shell to anyone besides his squad members. Atsui also became determined after his friend's death though, determined to become strong enough to protect all those he hold dear. That determination and his devotion to constantly training drove him to become a Chunin at the young age of sixteen, two years after he became a Genin, then a Jounin only one year later, at seventeen years old.
Atsui's training during all of his life, since becoming a genin, has consisted of learning the first nine of ten stages of the Bakemono Tsurugi no Kata from his Jounin, a master of the style, and ninjutsu techniques from his squad mates. Along the way, he also taught himself a taijutsu style, rationalizing that if he should lose his swords, he does not want to be completely defenseless. So, as a Chunin, he requested the hokage that he go on a pilgrimage to the Hidden Rain Village. There, he learned, and very quickly mastered their Hidden Mirror Image Taijutsu. The reason being that he already knew very well how to create afterimages, having mastered the first six stages of Bakemono Tsurugi no Kata at the time. Now he wishes to find the only person who can teach him the last stage of Bakemono Tsurugi no Kata, Kiyoshi Hyuga, so he can completely master the style.

Kai has always gotten weird looks because naturally children fear bugs. As a part of the Aburame clan Kai has always had insects in his life; thus, making friends at a young age was difficult. Sticking to himself and his insects made things easier than trying to swade the children of the village to accept him. Quiet became his friend as he seemed to fade into the darkness of whatever corner lay closest to him. In the academy he was always in the back seat shrunken into a slouch to remain hidden. Focusing most of his time and training into Genjutsu Kai was able to create an image among his class mates that seemed warmer, consealing his insects behind a cloud of smoke and mirrors. The children began to forget they existed. Whenever he felt too weak to enact the genjutsu to hide his insects he would remain home. As he grew even older he began to accept himself and felt nearly ashamed of trying to hide who he was. Through a lot of thought he decided to be proud of the Abarume Clan he hailed from.
