What have you done to help the guild's development?
This answer could prove to be lengthy, so I'll attempt to kind of give you the short version of everything, but I'll probably miss some things too. Well, I worked with Zane on the conception of the guild after we began to see Naruto: The Next Generation deteriorating. Our intention was to give all of those people a place to rp with familiar faces but newer workings. I helped create all of the weapon styles used for the mist village, and actually remain as the custom weapons approval mod since I took the job at the very beginning. I've been the first and last Mizukage in the history of this guild, meaning of course that I have also moderated those forums since the beginning as well. I've been a VC of the guild since the beginning, and quelled a few arguments here and there when it really needed my attention; luckily I haven't had to do any of that lately. Not many if anyone knows this, but if I'm the one to approve someone into the guild, I'll usually send them a personal letter welcoming them to PoTS and pointing them in a few directions. Small gesture I know, but I like to think it helps. I recently developed the ADT (Arc Development Team) and approved two new members to work with us once I find a place outside of PoTS for us to work in peace and secrecy. Finally, a bit ago I began devising plans for a guild advertisement thread in the main forums of gaia. It isn't nearly completed, but creating the idea and beginning the work on it is one step closer to us flourishing once we get all our systems 's**c und span.'
What are your plans for the future of the guild?
I want it to be a place that's so lively, once you hit refresh on a page there's three more posts to greet you. I want people to want to check the forums because so much is happening they can't contain themselves. I want our members to be happy with what the crew is doing and how we act, and the crew to be happy with how the members are acting and what they're doing. I want crew response to any situation to be rapid, at least a few of us around at any point to help where needed and deal with anything that needs attention. Most of all, I want member and crew alike....no, I want ALL members to have fun. This guild is for enjoyment, not a job or a chore, just good ol' fun.
I want the crew to be efficient, I want the members to speak out, and I want the crew to listen. I want us to be able to diligently work towards a goal as a unit, not just as crew and member. We need as much help finishing the guild repairs as you want us to finish the guild repairs. I want our Kage's to be more active, to churn inner and inter-village missions out like there's no tomorrow. I want each village to be cleaned (mine included) of all unused or old threads. In general, I want the whole guild cleared of unused threads that need to be recycled.
In essence, my plan for the future of this guild is our plan. I alone can't make this guild as awesome as we all want it to be. It takes different perspectives to make such a thing happen.
What experience do you have that qualifies you for this position?
Hmmm, well I've been a VC here since the guild was up and running (after a brief demotion to crew while we re-organized the crew a while back under Lance), a crew member in NUR for a while until this place started to take priority, and I'm currently building my own guild. I've got a lot of knowledge of how a crew works when they're in sync, and when the cogs just don't seem to be turning. I know how it affects the guild in its entirety, and I know a few ways to prevent such things from happening. Building my own guild I've got a bit of a head start on knowledge pertaining to starting from scratch and attempting to lead a crew of your own. I know how to be persistent with a crew without being pushy, to command without dictating, and most of all I know how to take creative and constructive criticism.
What is your vision of an ideal guild?
I think I've touched on this in earlier questions, but an ideal guild is one that ones smoothly. Rarely are the days where a moderator has to step in to solve an argument, or rarely are the days that guild members are complaining about a facet of the guild. The crew is continuously striving to make the guild better, and it shows through how content their members are.
Do you contribute often in the crew subforum?
Pretty often. Just because I give no input on something, it doesn't mean I didn't read it however. It may just mean I don't think I'm the best person for input on a particular subject.
How often can you get online (And on POTS)?
Currently a good bit. I'm a night owl and I very very recently quit my job to search for a new one, so my days are empty as well apart from job hunting and doing other day-to-day things. I must warn you though that as any of you who know me well know, I do have an illness that from time to time lands me in the hospital. I'm usually able to get my laptop to me within at most three days, but I've always been able to contact PoTS crew members via my phone to stay up to date on things and at the very least get a crew member to dictate to others a temporary hiatus on my part until I can return. It usually isn't hard for me to get on the phone and help with anything that needs me specifically.
Can you tell us what you plan on doing if you're elected?
I think I've answered this sufficiently, but I suppose I'll touch on some key points. I won't neglect the voice of the member, I won't alter the guild in a way that seems to upset the guild as a whole enough to disrupt roleplay, I won't do what I can't and do all that I can, and lastly I'll strive for what I know this guild can become.
What are some of the ideas that you have had that are in effect now?
I developed the inner-village "Shinobi Reports" page in order to even in roleplay directly inform all inhabitants of my village of anything going on, the Arc Development Team of course, and I suppose nothing else that comes to mind. Everyone in the crew has had awesome ideas, I've just had the chance to add my input to what they've created.
