The Motterossa Gym
Gym Leader: Shina Kiremono (Nanashi Kage Enjeru)
Gym Leader Challenge Status: Open
Pokemon Owned: Rasha (Ponyta 1250HP), Tenka (Emolga 1250HP), Annabell (Furret 1250HP), Rei (Espeon 1150HP), Yuki (Glaceon 1350HP), Marigold (Haunter 1150HP), Kelsey (Tentacruel 1050HP).
The Motterossa Gym is a large flat-roofed building at one end of the quiet town. From the outside, it isn’t terribly impressive. Large letters across the top proclaim the building to be the “Motterossa Gym”. Below this is a giant image of the Motterossa Gym Badge, a prism converting a beam of light into a rainbow. Centered beneath this is a door.
The door slides open, revealing a small antechamber. A plaque to one side reads “Motterossa Gym, Leader: Shina Kiremono, Badge Holders:” with an plate below, inscribed with a single name, Lenore. Apparently there was only one badge holder so far. To the other sign is a message board announcing which assistants are available for battle and…that there are no Eevee available for adoption at this time? Huh, weird. The door slides shut behind you. The interior door opens, revealing an amazing paradise. A gravel path meanders through lush foliage, and the sound of burbling fountains creates gentle background music. The ceiling high above is set with sun lamps to light the room and feed the plants. Giant fans create a gentle breeze that stirs the air, keeping it from being too warm. Depending on which paths you take, you may come across a berry patch, a small pond, or a small grassy area that looks ideal for a picnic and a nap as you travel towards the back of the room. Benches dot the path if you want to sit and enjoy the scenery. At the back of the garden, the paths rejoin at a door. Open it, and you will find yourself in the stadium.
Though challengers are not allowed in the private areas there is also a living area attached to the side of the gym. Three stories tall, it is the same height as the gym. The bottom floor has a kitchen, dining room, and living room, the middle floor has Shina’s office, bedroom, and bathroom, while the top floor is a workout studio. The flat roof of the gym has been turned into a garden, this one for the gym leader’s private use. The back of the gym is dominated by a large paddock, with a small stable snugged against the back wall of the gym. On the opposite side of the gym from Shina’s living quarters is a dormitory for gym assistants.
[Requirements to Challenge This Gym]
*The minimum number of pokemon I will use in a battle will be three. So if you really want, you can use one pokemon to battle three of mine even if that will make it pretty hard for you to win.
The maximum number of pokemon I will use in a battle will be the number of pokemon in your party if and only if your party has more than three members. So if you use four pokemon, I will use four pokemon as well.
*Defeat, in separate official gym challenge battles, ONE resident gym Pokemon, ONE junior gym assistant, and ONE senior gym assistant. ONE gym assistant.
Defeating a gym assistant in any situation other than an official challenge battle at the Motterossa Gym does not count towards the required win to challenge Shina.
You must collect three two wins, one in each category, to progress to the gym leader, but these wins do not have to be consecutive. You do not have to start over if you lose a battle. Once you defeat an assistant/resident Pokemon, you have fulfilled your requirement for that category. You keep that win even if you lose your next match. After defeating an opponent in each category, you may challenge the gym leader.
Please note that if you DO challenge with ANY official Motterossa Gym Battles (including ones with assistants), you MUST keep replying within a week or else YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. That means if one person has made a post and you haven't replied to the match, you lose! But, if there are any problems ie: you suddenly have to go on vacation, send a PM to your opponent, work it out, and leave a note in the thread so you won't get disqualified please. If the assistant is disqualified for non-response, please re-apply to challenge another assistant. Assistant disqualifications do not count as the win needed to challenge Shina.
~Rainbow Prism Badge~
The RP Badge gives any one pokemon of your choice an additional 50 HP in battle (just post it during the thread set up). It can be switched between any of your pokemon.

Hiring Information
Shina is looking to hire gym assistants. While there are in-character rewards, no Gaia gold or other "real" rewards are offered. To apply, please fill out the form below and post it in this thread.
Assistants are not required to remain in Motterossa at all times, but I would appreciate it if they made an attempt to be around often enough for trainers to be able to challenge. Things like being around for a month, gone for a while, back for a month (in RP time) would be fine, or characters that are supposedly there the first week of every month or somesuch. Alternatively, Shina has had dorms built, and it would be very nice for assistants to stay there. Room, board and a clothing allowance are included for gym assistants, as well as bonuses for each battle fought against a gym challenger.
If you do not have any battle experience, or if you feel it would better suit your character, you may apply to be a Junior Assistant. Junior Assistants are a class that trainers who are challenging the gym must defeat to challenge Shina, and still receive all of the in-character bonuses for being an assistant, though they are considered less skilled in-world. They may later graduate to being senior assistants.
If you default-lose two battles(ie, you do not reply in a timely manner, and therefore lose by default when time limit for replies expires), you will be released from your position as an assistant. Only battles lost by defaulting will be counted against the trainer. Battles lost in the course of normal RP battling will not be counted against the trainer.

In-Character Benefits of Being a Gym Assistant:
•A space in the assistant dorms.
•Three meals a day.
•Whatever their pokemon require for optimal performance, including food, medicine and grooming supplies.
•Assistants will also have access to necessities such as soap, towels, laundry facilities, etc., as well as office supplies such as pens and paper from supply cabinets in the dorms.
•Assistants are provided with a quarterly clothing allowance, in the form of credit for use in local businesses. Credit is sufficient for purchase of approximately five full outfits each quarter, with a larger sum being allotted in autumn to allow for purchase of winter gear such as boots, gloves, hat, and jacket.
•Bonuses are provided in the form of a monetary reward when an assistant battles a challenger. A bonus is granted regardless of the outcome of the match, but winning will earn the assistant a larger bonus.
•Assistants may challenge for a badge in the normal way, by posting the proper challenge form(s), defeating the required number of fellow assistants, then challenging Shina. Assistants may also challenge fellow assistants or Shina to non-badge matches at any time, though unlike a proper gym challenge, Shina is not required to accept practice matches. |

To challenge the gym, please post the first form below. Suggested order of battle is Resident Pokemon, Junior Assistant, Senior Assistant, but this is not required. When your challenge is accepted, your challenge post will be quoted by the trainer you challenged, with a link to the battle.
After defeating one Resident Pokemon, one Junior Assistant, and one Senior Assistant, you may challenge the Gym Leader, Shina, by posting the bottom code. I will quote you with a link to our battle.
