About the Artist

As a student of the arts, I've always been focused on improving and growing not only as an artist, but as an individual as well. My artwork is an extension of my thoughts, the beauty that I see and long for, and aims to capture the world as the eye can never see it. It is this that has always intrigued me, especially about photography. One needs to know what the camera is capable of, and how to align composition, but another part of the photographer needs to be able to trust in what they cannot see, what reality locks away from them.

My art has been my salvation, my comfort, another way to escape the cage of reality that ensnares us all. It has been an extension of my poetry, my music, and weaves a tight fabric with all other mediums I transgress to create a picture of who I am. I've always said that no one can know me unless they have seen everything I have seen, heard everything that I have heard, felt everything that I have, and so, my art, music, poetry, stories is provided to catch a glimpse into who I am.

I love your graphite work. I can't really judge photography all that well. I mean, I do some of that, but not enough to give a solid opinion. (I mean I think your pics are pretty sweet) As for your canvas work, I'm used to multi-media stuff so I can't really give any feedback...Everything seems really dark. (Except the nature stuff lol)

Thank you very much for your time in looking, I really appreciate it. I do tend to drift into the darker styles since they intrigue me the most, and I am inspired most to create works from the shadowed sides of souls.

You do tend to drift to the dark side with the photography, except for nature. I do think you have some wonderful composition in your pieces. Though the canvas work you did wth the newspaper and paint I don't quite understand the meaning behind it. It's interesting yet compared to your gallery, it kinda doesn't fit in my opinion. I definitely love the drawing of the Black Widow when she was in Iron Man 2.

The canvas work is an abstract self portrait of my faith, hence the crosses and Faith. It is much better in person, as the newspaper is legible and clearly is of religious content, but I didn't want to have a huge photograph in the thread. These pieces are just some of my gallery, if one were to view the entire gallery the canvas work would fit in just fine. I don't keep to one particular style regarding art, I find it is much better to use a style that conveys the meaning best.
