SquadAs you've read above, the normal experience gain is four(4) experience for every twenty(20) words you write in an RP post. However, there are certain conditions that, if met, will increase the number of experience per twenty word sets.
The first of these conditions is known as a "Squad Bonus".
A squad bonus is received when two or more members of a squad from one of the many Hidden Villages are role playing together. While role playing with someone from your squad, you will receive +2 to the number of experience gained per 20 words. (
Example: four(4) + two(2) = six(6) experience per 20 words)
You will only be allowed to claim this bonus from the words your fellow squad-mates post.
(Example: Bob decides to role play with Timbawithers and Muffins, who are his Squad-mates. They all decide to join up and role play with [Player #1] and [Player #2]. While role playing together, Bob will receive six(6) experience for every twenty(20) words that Timbawithers and Muffins post. He will receive four(4) experience for every twenty(20) words [Player #1], [Player #2] and himself post. BattleDue to the extra effort required to setup battle posts, players are awarded experience bonuses while in battle. These bonuses are granted based on the level of opponent(s).
Take the levels of yourself and all your allies and add them together. Do the exact same for your opponents' side.
(
There are 2 players on your team and 3 players on the enemy team. Your level is 13 and your ally's level is 16. The total number of levels for your side is 29)
Once you have acquired the total number of levels from both your side and your opponents', compare them. The difference between the levels will determine what bonus your side will receive while battling.
1-20 levels
HIGHER or LOWER grants +4 experience per 20 words. (
ex: four(4) + four(4) = eight( 8 ) experience per 20 words)
21-50 levels
HIGHER grants +2 experience per 20 words. (
ex: four(4) + two(2) = six(6) experience per 20 words)
21-50 levels
LOWER grants +6 experience per 20 words. (
ex: four(4) + six(6) = ten(10) experience per 20 words)
51+ levels
HIGHER grants +0 experience per 20 words. (
ex: four(4) + zero(0) = four(4) experience per 20 words)
51+ levels
LOWER grants +8 experience per 20 words. (
ex: four(4) + eight( 8 ) = twelve(12) experience per 20 words)
(
ex: Team A has 2 members with a total combined level of 29. Team B has a total combined level of 55. Team A will receive +6 extra experience per 20 words while Team B will only receive +2 extra experience per 20 words. The reason for this is because Team B's total level exceeds Team A's total level by more than 21.)
The reason for setting the battle system's experience bonuses like this is so that weaker players may gain more experience when faced with adversity. In this way, if Team B continually challenged Team A due to their overwhelming advantage, Team A would level significantly quicker than Team B off of the same number of lines and eventually become strong enough to fight back. This prevents Team B from abusing the system for cheap free wins.
Warning: Remember that abuse of the system is not taken lightly.RankSince the system scales and makes it increasingly difficult to level up later on, it was decided that a system be put in place to more accurately portray Rank increases. Each rank will gain multiple things and the higher the rank, the higher the benefit. Each rank above Genin will give a bonus towards the experience you earn normally. Note: While role playing with others, you must take turns posting in order to claim each others' words. This is to prevent other players from tagging along and posting only once or twice, but gaining thousands of words.)
