Tonight when I got home from work, I finally came out to my mother. It wasn't something I planned to do, it just sort of happened. I'm still stressing a little, but it went pretty well. There were no tears, no screaming, and it ended with her saying she still loves me. The actual talking lasted about 10-15 minutes, and then we just kind of went back to semi-normal. I still keep thinking "oh God, oh God," but it seems like nothing bad will come from it.

Congratulations! mrgreen Your mom's reaction sounds a lot like my mom's and stepdad's. Supportive parents are a big confidence booster, believe it or not. Again, good for you, and good luck.

Congrats? your lucky you have such supportive parents I am bi and it hasn't been all that easy.and my mom found out about a year ago that one of my really good friends is a lesbian and she is now happily married and my mom still bugs me but she tries to deal with it in an uncomfortable way. I actually just came out to a girl in my health care class for college, when I was on Facebook and she took it really well and said that she would never tell anyone until I was ready, the weirdest thing was that I kept having thoughts running through my head yesterday and literally my mind was literally screaming
"mom dad, I am a bisexual" but of course I would never tell them right away I'm afraid I'd get kicked out of my house and my family would reject me. I am only living at home still because I am in college and running on student loans which my dad is helping pay for. Anyways glad to hear that your now officially out.
