Also known as

Jikial's Bulletin Board

I am not sure how many of you out there will read this but the time has come for me to make a topic here of my own.

First off; Who am I?

I am Jikial. Despite my join date on my profile and my join date with the guild I am not actually all that experienced in the course of roleplaying. Oftentimes the roleplays I join die or conclude too soon.

I am a bit off. I tell this to everybody just as a warning. I am not saying that I will bite anyone's head off or become unruly or aggressive, just that I tend to see and experience the world differently than others and have my own way of going about things that only really makes sense if you pay attention, or you ask me. That being said I do have my way off moments of insanity.

I am a nice person. Though I tend keep to myself and tend not to use emoticons or other such internet-emotional-conventions and therefore come off as possibly intimidating, if not a bit standoffish, it is not so; truth is I just like to write as properly as I can all the time as it keeps me in practice. If you wish to talk to me I will very likely talk back, whether it be here or in PMs.

Second; What Will This Be Used For?

Public Conversation: If you have something to say to me you do not mind the rest of the guild reading, go right ahead and start gabbing in here.

Stuff Involving the Academy: As "Assistant" Groundskeeper I will have a lot to keep track of. As a student of the academy one would do well to occasionally check in here for little things that might otherwise be missed.

Gibberish: I might occasionally feel the need to share a mad rambling of mine with the world. If I do it might end up here.

Third; What Can You Do?

Talk to me.
Daily life things.
Breathe on occasion.
Have fun with it.
Stop taking things so seriously.

Frequently Asked Inquiries;

Does Jikial have a master plan?

Yes, there's almost always something in the works, and if there's not, then that's also all part of the plan.

I'm trying to make a few friends in the guild anyway so I figured I might as well give you your first visitor.
So yo!
To be honest, I don't check people's profiles at all normally. I just speak to them and allow myself to learn of them through interaction. Much more interesting anyway. Plus your join date is insignificant to me, some new people to gaia are already experienced writers/talkers/etc and some aren't so I don't judge.

Hello you two!

DragnGuy7, my profile is wildly outdated anyway. I figured I had to put it on here.

I am an experienced writer.

Watervoir, it was about time, yes. Now we have to wait and see how many people find it before I begin referencing to it elsewhere.

I do have a tendency of using psychology for my own ends.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
What are those little white things on cucumbers?

My eventual wife (whoever she is) and I will dance to this song at our wedding reception.

Maybe for not all 8 minutes of it, of course, but enough for us to be considered classy.

It will be closely followed if not immediately followed by this.

Then we will abandon the reception and go out on the town.

Screw tradition.

My future is a painless execution of awesomeness.

Thought of the Day:

Ever get that feeling that something you once had and had taken for granted is now lost and lost forever?
PostPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:15 pm

Yeah, but then I quickly forget about it. I think I take my memory for granted sometimes. ):

xd ........................what's a memory?

Lol, jk jk. My memory can get super selective on stuff. Though I am noticing these days stuff that I used to take without a thought. Now of course, things are different once your a working adult.........................I miss my childhood. sad
PostPosted: Wed Jun 20, 2012 9:15 am

Adulthood is the realisation that kid stuff can last forever if you do it right. I think everyone grows up too soon.

Maturity, however, is always good, but being able to be free in thought is that one part of childhood no one should ever lose.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

The true fascination of horror is its ability to inspire the base emotions of fear. It makes me wonder if there weren't many stories that were once considered "horror" from prehistory that have now changed into the epics and god-dramas we know today.

After all, wouldn't it be terrifying to know that we are nothing but the puppets of god's to be used for entertainment. And at the same time realise that the gods we so comfortably put our faith in have no idea what they're doing and are capable of unspeakable, human, errors?

Entertainment or no, there's something magnificently horrific about the idea.

In this perspective, those Greco-Roman tales of Zeus et.al. can be considered on the same level as the early-mid twentieth century H.P. Lovecraft.

God's who don't care, who would faster kill you than protect you, who would impregnate you with horrors simply so the horror can roam the countryside terrorising villagers.

Is fear a truer emotion than love?
