Here's how the stats and leveling works:
Level: A numeric representation of your characters experience. The higher it grows the more your stats grow.
-To level up a character must find thier special item.
-special items are granted for clearing events, beating dungeons, and generally being active
-level stops at 99
- when a character levels up, they get 1 point in each stat + class bonuses
Rank: A representation of how good your character is at thier specialty.(class)
-all characters start at rank 1 of thier chosen class
-max rank is 5
- you increase in rank based on GP (growth points)
- you obtain GP by winning fights against monsters and other players
-victory against a normal enemy is 1 GP, Bosses are 5GP, and players are 2GP. Players can also bet unspent GP when fighting eachother.
-if your character is KOed by anything other than another player thier spare GP falls to 0
-if a character dies, thier spare GP goes to thier killer.
-the cost to rank up is 10x the new rank. ( cost for rank 2 is 20GP, cost for rank 3 is 30GP, etc.)
-note that when you rank up GP is spent.
-It costs 10 GP to change your class. (another class must be available)
Class: Your character's skill set.
-when you change class, you start at rank one
- this includes switching to a weaker class.
-each class has thier own bonuses and movesets.
-you may not use moves from a previous class unless they are available in your new one
HP sad hit points)You character's life force
-if HP hit 0 you are KOed
-if you are attacked while KOed you DIE.
-if bleeding or burning, you lose 1 HP per post until it is stopped.
-if poisoned or sick your max HP is reduced by half until cured
- if regenerating or sleeping you regain 1HP per post.
-instant death moves reduce your HP to 0 but don't kill you
-the only player with an instant death move is The Joker.
MP sad magic points) Your character's magic
- MP hits 0 you can still cast magic, but the cost is deducted from your health
-you can not kill yourself via MP deprivation ( your HP can't hit 0 by MP costs)
-MP can be stolen from a KOed character (if you have a move for it)
-if frozen or skill drained, you lose 1 MP per post until it is stopped
-if sick your max MP is halved
Attack: Your character's physical strength.
-if your attack is lower than your opponent's defense your attacks do 1 damage unless otherwise noted (such as hitting a weak spot or knocking them into a wall)
-attack applies to any ability that does not require MP. This includes natural healing moves.
-attack does not apply to your character's lifting power.
-if sick attack is halved
Defense: Your character's resilience
-defense only applies to physical attacks
-if sick your defense becomes 1
-if frozen or stunned your defense does not apply
Magic: Your character's Magical prowess
-if your magic is lower than your opponent's will, the attack does 1 damage unless otherwise noted.
-only applies to abilities that require MP
-sickness does not apply to magic power
-if skill drained your magic drops by 1 per post, but is restored once lifted.
Will: Your character's resistance to magic.
-only applies to magical attacks
-if sick your will increases by one
-if frozen or stunned will does not apply.
-if you take a magic attack for someone your will is increased by 1(unless otherwise noted
Speed: your character's agility.
-high speed does not make you unhittable
-low speed does not make you sluggish
-while sick speed is halved
-while stunned speed is 0
