Austin adjusted his mask as he looked over at the slightly shorter boy. "I'm so glad you could make it Jin." he said with a smile as he helped the other boy with his own mask. Tonight will be amazing. he thought as he looked over at Jinhai. Austin couldn't help but feel this moment was perfect. He giggled slightly out of excitement before taking Jin's hand. Austin leaned in and gently brushed his lips against his boyfriend's. "I missed you love." he whispered gently as he looked into Jinhai's brown eyes. Austin smiled again his icy blue eyes were alight with excitement.

It was a risk, oh it was one heck of a risk. However the possible gains surely outweighed the potential negatives with this idea. Crossing the entrance threshold the White Fox did his best to hold himself like a normal person amongst the gathering masses of the mystical schools student and faculty. His attire had not changed for up until now only two students had seen him and that was only but for a moment in time. The layered white robes and hood together with his inari fox mask were as the always had been but being that this was a masked ball it was just another outfit.

This would be, for all intense and purposes the first formal meeting with the school as a whole, but in all likelihood it would not be remembered as such. With the recent atrocity committed in the school someone like himself was prime for the suspect role until said individual was found. The White Fox had all intentions of looking for the killer but with the Aurors around such an act would only prove unintelligible. For while the white masked man could easily enough move against the eyes and ears of the students and the occasional solo teacher, against multiple well trained Aurors he would likely be facing wands quickly.

So far there were not many about from the sight but still it was early and just at the outset of the engagement. He had only seen a few people of note and so far only one who's mask seemed to try and speak above himself. Two boys at the entrance who seemed to be looking to only share the time amongst themselves, and another boy farther in near the dance floor. The first two wore plan masks of gold and black, likely showing pride to their badger family. The other dawned a black mask with a devilish face that all but cried out the idea of menacing. This would truly be an interesting night.

The shorter wizard standing beside Austin looked up at the place that held the ball. He was a ball of nerves though he did his best to try and hide it. It had been interesting to get all the way here for this but oh how it had been worth it. Jinhai hadn't cared who he angered at home all he wanted for this year was Austin. The Chinese wizard had spent days dreaming about this ball ever since Austin had contacted him about it. He was staying in a room down at the Three Broomsticks and had spent most of the day down there today. He normally wasn't a fussy guy when it came to how he looked but this was a ball. Jinhai didn't get many chances to go on dates with Austin and when he did by god he was going to look his best. He had purchased a special black and gold outfit for the dance keeping it hidden to surprise Austin with it. The silk was cool under his fingers and for a moment he felt a tad silly. This was a masquerade ball though so he tried not to worry.

"I'm glad I could too. After all I would have hated to miss a chance to go about with you." Jin replied a smile on his face as Austin helped him with his mask. The two had worn similar masks to the dance only Jin's mirrored Austin's. Where the black side was on Austin's mask it was gold on Jin's. He was so glad that they had picked the masks early. If they hadn't he probably wouldn't have had the time to find a matching outfit. One slim hand came up to his face brushing his long brown hair back out of his face and behind one ear. He couldn't help but catch Austin's excited laugh as one managed to slip out of Jin as well. Before he knew it Austin was close and he felt those lovely soft lips against his own. And Austin called him a tease. A wider smile crossed his face as he moved to take the other boy's hand in his own.

"I miss you too, wuai." Jin answered softly still smiling. This was going to be fun. Honestly the boy couldn't think of a better way to spend a night. One more year and Jin wouldn't have to settle for seeing Austin only on breaks. One more year and the boy would move to London and be done with his family. If they weren't going to support him on his relationship then he won't stick around. The teen wanted to be with the boy he loved and didn't want to be anywhere else. "Shall we go in? Or am I going to spend the evening with you out here?" Jin asked lightly smiling still. He didn't mind if they stayed out here. After all it was with Austin therefore it was good with him.

Heather peered around the corner from the top of the stairs. She only saw a few people.
This is it. Just go out there, and try to have a good time.
She took a deep breath, and came out of hiding. She gripped the railing and made her way down the stairs, being careful not to trip on her heels. She never dressed this fancy, so the heels were new to her.
When she got to the end of the stairs, she straightened out her dress. It was a short purple dress Remy had picked out for her, with black lacey designs on it. She adjusted her mask that matched her dress. For the night, she had retired her glasses and actually wore her contacts so she could wear the mask.
She took another deep breath, and entered the Ballroom.

Remy quickly made her way down the stairs, expertly enough to not trip on her heels.
I can't believe I let Heather beat me down here! She's probally standing all alone, feeling like a nervous wreck!
When the first year had descended the steps, she quickly adjusted the dress she wore. It was skyblue, the same as her eyes, and had black lace around the middle with a neat little bow. Her mask started as white on the top, and slowly turned to blue, with delicate gold designs.
Once she felt she was presentable again, she entered the ballroom to look for her sister.

Jane stood behind a pillar above the staircase and looked over the large gathering of people below with a large smile. She finished tying her mask and pulled up her hood on the white cloak. Jane had been waiting for this night. As soon as she he told her parents about it they had replied back almost immediately with a new dress and entire outfit. Jane had been absolutely thrilled but it also reminded her of how at time being wealthy was rather annoying. Jane was no longer wearing her glasses as that would make the mask wearing more then a tad difficult.

Jane touched the ring on her necklace with a gloved hand and breathed deeply. It made her think of Allen. Jane had wanted to arrive together, somewhere out of view so that no one would know about them but it hadn't happened. She pulled out her fan and opened it with one movement. She moved from behind the pillar and headed to the main staircase and ascended slowly down it. She fanned her face and scanned the crowd of masks and colors below her looking for anyone she might be able to recognize behind the mask. The first person she noticed was the fiery red head, obviously Phinelia and no doubt the man next to her was Colton. Jane smiled again. The heels of her white shoes clicked against the large stairs.

Amanda ascended the staircase, one step at a time. Every girl who she saw so far wore beautiful, silky gowns. Amanda, however, wore a simple green dress, black flats and the black earrings that everyone has seen her wear to class. Her mask was green and black, and her nails painted green. She picked out these colors to show she belonged to the Slytherin house. Her hair was in a neat braid which trailed behind her as she walked. She didn't recognize any of the boys at the entrance to be Leonidas, so she figured he was already at the ball. "Here goes nothing," she mumbled before fixing her mask and walking into the Ball Room.

Trinity looked over all the people below her. She hadn't the slightest idea of what she was even doing here. School had been rather boring as of late. She hadn't heard much from Roi recently or anyone in her little group. Trinity wasn't planning on dancing, or really doing much of anything. Mostly she just figured that she should make an appearance. She sighed in pure boredom. She pulled out her black swan mask and put it on over her deep misty blue eyes. She brushed away her blue hair and looked around once again, after a few moments she decided to make her big entrance. She headed down the large staircase, her thin black dress flowing around her petite body. She put her black gloved hands at her side and adjusted her diamond bracelet.

Amelia sat at the top of the stairs and looked below her. She was excited but at the same time nervous. She had never been to any kind of dance before and she would never admit it in a million years but boys kind of scared her. She always acted so tough and independent but it was really all an act. Amelia wanted so deeply for someone to notice her. Well anyone but that pompous arrogant little Ravenclaw, Jeffery. Her desperately hoped she wouldn't run into him tonight. As she walked down the stairs she looked around, not seeing anyone slightly familiar. She sighed, hoping for a dance.

Austin smiled and squeezed Jin's hand gently. "Yeah, let's head in." he said with a giggle. The Sixth year sure was giddy right now. He looked at his boyfriend and lead the way into the Ball Room. This night will be perfect. he thought.

￤￤Perhaps the staring and glancing towards the entrance of the ballroom had done him well because he noticed Jane's approach as instantly as she fabricated herself onto the top most step. He greeted her gingerly, legs eagerly carrying him to her and sliding just next to her, side vision compromised by the beautiful mask framing her face. "You look beautiful." he whispered into her ear and gained a surprise from her as she turned to meet him. His shotty white hair gloved hands perhaps gave him away, but Jane still held a light allure of mystery and possibility of identity. Allen had recognised her instantly as he had managed a sneak peak of her outfit and the information concerning her mask, but to others simply glancing, she could hold anyone's face under the crafted one of color and magic. The thought made their act and decision all the more fun.
He offered her his hand and a smirk too characteristic of himself to be mistaken for anyone else. "Would the lady care for a stroll?" he asked with suave and silky tones, "Or a dance?" ￤￤

Jane nearly jumped when she heard a voice in her ear but smiled when her brain caught on and recognized the voice. She turned to look at him. "Well we aren't feeling very mysterious, are we?" She said with a laugh looking at his trade mark white hair. She grasped one of his gloved hands with one of hers. "How did you know it was me?" She asked with another smile as she lead him from the stairs, headed for the main ballroom.
