If we're reVAMPing the place, perhaps we should get some of the sillier things off the front forum page if we can? I looked at the main page and still see stuff like 'rent-a-card' and 'if you were alucards' MASTER what would YOU DO'... doesn't look different, still looks like crazy fan-assery that a developing series brings, not the more logical end I thought we were hoping for with the revamp and fixes? Or am I misunderstanding? Or are we just unable to delete main forum stuff?
Also: Perhaps a new pic for the main page perhaps?

Hi, Angel, good to see you back.
We did major cleaning on the main forum. It's the OT/common area, so we left a few of the goofier threads. Believe me, I deleted hundreds of inane ones.
I too have been considering changing the front page. I cleaned it up a bit, but I think we could at least use a new cover pic. It doesn't have to be a pic of the crew. Since the guild's not just about Hellsing now, it would probably be good if we had a less Hellsing specific pic. As in, it doesn't have to have the characters all over it. Maybe a shot of the Hellsing manor, or some spooky landscape. I dunno.

If we move the art off the front page, I'm saving it here in the Office. It's too awesome, in m opinion, to loose completely.
Angel; all the deeper threads are now in the various rooms. The front page is our general community page so it'll still tend to the "sillier" threads. Most new to the guild will find seeing such less intimidating and more welcoming than if we had our deepest philosophical topics right out front. Plus it'll stop the "hi, I heart alucard" posters from posting in the totally wrong threads because they are the first they see. rolleyes
There are some terrific houses and buildings around my city that could front for the Hellsing manor...anyone know the laws pertaining if we were to use a shot of the public front of such a place as a guild picture?

Ooh, I love creepy houses. I believe as long as the picture is taken from public property, like the road, or from your own property, you can use it as long as you are not making a profit off of it.
IE: If the house suddenly becomes the new logo for Maxwell Coffee and appears on every can...they can sue you. But for the guild I think you're fine. biggrin
I'm a journalist and photographer on the side so I've come into that issue a few times. ^-^

I believe I have some better pics stashed about somewhere in a zip drive but here is the creepiest house near where I live. It is called by locals the Massapequa Satan House. Even the sidewalk outside of the house is painted red and they used to have a hearse in the driveway. They keep candles in all the windows and the curtains are supposed to be from a funeral home. Personally I think it's awesome. I love unique people who do interesting things. biggrin
