I was supposed to have my period yesterday, at the latest. My stomach's been really hurting and I've gained some weight. Some of my pants don't fit very well. I had my period last month, though, and that month was the last time I had sex. Could I be pregnant?

If you're stomach is hurting and you're gaining weight, that could just be ordinary PMS symptoms.
I would give it a week or so, then buy a pregnancy test at the store.

I'd have to agree with her, yeah. Don't start freaking out if you don't start when you normally do. Your period can change depending on stress, moodiness, female coworkers or fellow students, and other things. So don't start freaking out if its only been a day or two. I say wait for at least a week before you start being concerned.

 The only way to find out if you are pregnant is to take a test. It's best to take it first thing in the morning that way it will be most accurate. Then even if it is negative take another test a week later, if that second test is negative then odds are that you are not pregnant. If you get a positive still take a second test to insure accuracy. If you get a positive then a negative or vice versa you still need to go to the doctor. You can not go by symptoms when it comes to pregnancy, they match the same with PMS and a number of other medical issues. This is why you should always test if you are in doubt.
