No drama unless it's the RP story sort of drama. For any reason whatsoever. This is a game, on a spiffy internet forum. Don't hate, bro.
Don't post here unless I've given you explicit permission to do so! I personally like to roleplay outside of Soto's journal and just archive things here. That way I can document things here and it'll be all neat and organized without a bazillion different posts just to tell one story. Also -- gifts need to be delivered to my PM inbox, pretty please. Apologies in advance for my being utterly OCD.
Nothing here is common knowledge! That means that the things that you read here are not things that your character should know unless the info has been released to them via RP.
Don't take things that happen in RP personally. My characters are warped. I'm sorry, but that's how my brain works. I do my best to confirm with other players what's going to happen specifically if there's some sort of epic throw down of some sort.
You may take any images or RP logs your character(s) are featured in. I usually compile RP logs as I am roleplaying to ensure that I have it, and sometimes I like to illustrate things. Feel free to take anything that has your characters in it. You don't have to ask for my permission for that.
I know colored text for a character's speech is all the rage in the B&C but... I have a really, really hard time reading it. Please don't be offended if in my journal I edit the color codes for joint or group RPs. It's really not anything personal. I have terrible vision, and I'm dyslexic. The colored text screws with both problems all at once. Plz be forgiving? X3

• Every rp to be counted has to be a complete piece: it has a beginning, a middle, and an end.
Addendum Clause - Closing Unfinished and Abandoned RP
In any stage except jewel to morph, a player may recover up to 5 abandoned or unfinished joint rps. The chosen rp must be able to be logically ended with a single post, and it is the active player's responsibility to write their own end point for their character if they want to count the rps toward tally. The player cannot edit what is previously written, nor god-mod the other character actions.
• A Solo rp has to be a completed scene of at least 500 words. Up to an including 1000 words still counts for only 1 rp. 1001+ counts for two. You cannot count a single scene for more than 2, even if it is 3000 words, though that’s probably a nice piece of storytelling.
• A joint rp is a storytelling scene between more than one person (player). Any number above one. If you own two characters and write them interacting, that is a solo, as there is only one player. It can be two people, three people, twenty, whatever. But each player and character has to contribute more than two posts, and at least 500 words for it to count towards requirements. More than two posts and 500+ words EACH. The scene has to have a definite ending as well, closing the rp.
• In a solo, if you own both characters, each character has to have 500 words for it to count for a point. If Character 1 has 320, and Character 2 has 562, then only character 2 is getting credit for a point. Yes, you WROTE 882 words, but not for EACH character.
• In both cases, 1001+ words counted counts for 2 The joint will still need more than two posts. This is the maximum that can be earned for an rp. This avoids bias towards verbose players or over-weighting one scene in the development of a god. Yes, you can write 4000 words in a single joint rp easily, but it is unrealistic to believe that a single encounter would account for 27% of a god's development as a character as a morph. (4000/500 = 8, 8/30 =26.66667 ). By all means write the fullness of your inspiration of a scene, but 2 pts is the maximum req points allotted to any one scene. Enjoy rp for the rp, not the points.
• Adding word-counts to your solo and rp posts as you go can help make your req tallies go faster.

Physical Age » Toddler/Child
Parents » Nergal (God of the Underworld) and Echo (Goddess of Music)
Appearance » He is green from head to toe! A sort of vibrant, emerald color. His hair is an inch or two shy of shoulder length and is somewhat lighter in color in comparison to his skin. His eyes are hollow sockets with floating wisp-like flames inside. He also has an ickle puppy-dog tail! In story (not his official art shown the the left), his hair has grown out a bit longer due to his refusal to let anyone cut it... but that could change. He also often ties things into his hair to keep them on his person for "keeping safe."
Personality » His level of confidence in himself and his abilities (or lack thereof) borders on arrogance. His temperament and stubbornness is akin to his father's. He is also quite mischievous and very sneaky. He likes to explore, play, and generally annoy Nergal, his father, to the point that it makes his face twitch. He is also utterly incapable of sitting still for extended periods of time unless being held by his mother or is otherwise unconscious. He's also prone to fits of rage when he doesn't get his way or doesn't understand something, but his tantrums usually subside quickly. He is very expressive, particularly when he's happy. When he's angry or sad, he hides so no one can find him.
Powers/Special Abilities » Minor Hold Shut -- He can hold shut doors, portals, and that sort of thing for a tiny bit. Sotiris is meant to be a gatekeeper. Also of note, he can remove his eyes without causing harm to himself.
History » Sotiris so far has proven to be more like his father than either party is willing to admit. He is willful and impossibly stubborn. He and his father also have very similar mannerisms, but Nergal's fierce scowl is lost (and thus less effective) on Sotiris' adorable baby face. To date he hasn't necessarily done anything impressively god-like, but he is insistent on escaping his family's quarters and the Pantheon as a whole to explore the world. He finds being "trapped" there with constant supervision oppressive and very much wants to prove his worth as Guardian.
Also of note, Sotiris has odd speech patterns. He makes up his own words and terminology. This is largely due to his being a child. Unlike a lot of the other characters in the Edelsteine game, Sotiris is a new god entirely. He wasn't reborn, and therefore he lacks the knowledge that others had already. His being impatient and antsy hasn't helped him with his learning either.

Soto's Room » Sotiris' room is very simple and sparsely decorated. It is one single room with no furniture whatsoever. His bed consists of a giant nest pile of pillows and blankets. The walls and ceiling are impossibly high so he doesn't feel claustrophobic when hiding out in his room. All of the walls are lined with drawer after drawer in various sizes, all in a dark wood. There are also built in shelves and compartments hidden behind doors to include a bureau and full length mirror. He does not keep any of these doors or drawers open, and he does not open them when anyone else is present except for his constant companion, Shima. The only other person who would consider opening a drawer for would be his father. The only light in his room is natural light that filters in through a skylight. His room is generally rather dimly lit even with the skylight.Reference » The initial solo where Soto creates his living space is located here.
The whole layout is based on the typical layout of houses of ancient Rome. The "Garden" is a Zen style rock garden. The skylight above is open to the sky and weather, not covered by glass or anything. When it rains it rains. When it pours it pours. If the garden turns into a swamp due to bad weather, the kids are happy.
The large double door from the Commons to the Atrium/Garden are mostly for effect. Even if they are closed, you easily can get to the gardens and the back of the apartments via the hallway. Usually they are open, closed only to darken the common rooms whenever Nergal is holding court, or to shut out the weather when it gets just too bad even for deities to bear.
In the common room the mood is set by silken curtains hanging from the ceiling. They are billowing in the slightest breeze, and their color may change according to which deity is holding court. Vibrant colors for Echo, muted grays and blues for Nergal. There also are myriads of lanterns and candles hanging from the ceiling and set in the alcoves. They may be lit by candles or magic. If Nergal is around, the light is provided by the will o' the wisps that accompany him.
There are a number of sitting accommodations and tables in the commons room, allowing for feasting, discussion and lounging. The largest seat, looking not unlike a throne, is in front of the double door leading to the atrium and reserved for Nergal's/Echo's use. Which doesn't keep their children from taking a nap on it occasionally.
There are no doors from the Commons and the Atrium/Garden towards the hallway, these are open doorways which may only be "closed" by curtains. Almost every wall is covered with murals.
Nergal and Echo each have their own "private" room for whenever they feel the need for recluse. Nergal has his library/study, Echo has her music room.
Yes, their bedroom is HUGE. Its ceiling is painted with the image of a starry sky.

Keys » Sotiris has an affinity for keys. His one primary ability at the moment is to keep things shut, so naturally he likes being able to lock things away to keep them safe.Bugs » He loves butterflies. He is fascinated by them, and it makes him very sad that he can't keep them forever in a jar to watch them flutter about. Moths are good, too, but they chew up his blankets which makes him a very irritable pup.Jars & Boxes » He likes containers and jars for much the same reason that he appreciates keys. Chests that can be locked he very much likes. He also likes jars to put bugs and other strange "treasures" in. He prefers clear, or mostly clear jars, so that he can see what's in them and keep them on display in his room.Sweets » The first thing Sotiris ever ate was a cookie. He has been a little green cookie monster ever since. He loves sweets almost as much as he loves collecting keys and bugs.Jewelry & Ornaments » In general, Soto likes things that are shiny. He's also strange and likes tying miscellaneous things into his own hair regardless of whether or not they're actually meant to be hair ornaments.Beasties » Being a bit of a pup as it is, Sotiris very much likes animals of all sorts. Most every fluffy, four-legged creature he comes across is automatically called "puppy" whether it is one or not.

Nergal, Underworld » His father is his hero, and sometimes his worst enemy. He loves his father very much, and he respects him. His actions, however, don't always reflect this. Sotiris is very much full of energy and life which is the opposite of his father who is God of the Underworld. For this reason, they are often at odds with one another. Sotiris is also inclined to directly ignore or disobey his father's orders. Typically what makes him more inclined to obey his father is the severity of the possible consequences. Being in real trouble with his father is not something he wishes to endure.
Echo, Music » Sotiris adores his mother beyond all reason. She is something precious which he feels the overwhelming need to protect. He hates it when she is sad, and will do anything to ease whatever is causing that sadness. He loves seeing her smile. His mother is typically the only person who can tell him to do something, and he'll do it without giving her grief over it. Usually.
Lacrymosa, Grief » Sotiris would move heaven and earth if he could to make his little sister smile. He is very protective of her, but not overly so. He knows that she is quite capable of handling herself despite being blind.
Akakios, Lament » Sotiris seems to have some sort of crazy love/hate relationship with his little brother. He picks on him a lot, but may the gods help anyone who decides to pick on Kios. Sotiris feels that picking on his baby brother is a right that is his and his alone. Currently, Sotiris is majorly pissed off that this little brother is "bigger" than him, because Kios has grown into his power first.
Ankou, Spirit Guide » Ankou is Sotiris' favorite. uncle. He's also his only biological uncle. He hasn't spent very much time with him, but they seem to share a common interest in adventuring and wandering about.
Cosine, Numbers » Cos is his aunt and betrothed/girlfriend of his uncle Ankou. He thinks she's nice, but hasn't spent very much time with her unlike his siblings.

Cobalt "Cricket" Anezka » Cobalt is a Siamese cat changeling. She was directly responsible for the successful capture and torture of Nergal as a youth. She is also responsible for creating the choker which bound his powers. She is a brilliant telepath, but is currently trapped within the Pantheon. Sotiris "saved" her from a beast that was chasing her (Isabella in her beast form), and gave her to his sister, Lacrymosa, to watch over while their father was away. He intends to give her to his father as a gift. Both children are unaware of whom she is or her past history. Cobalt has currently been in her house-cat form for so long, that she is having trouble remember her true self. She also feels an intense love and loyalty to Lacrymosa who has been caring for her.
Isabella "Izzy" Tuuli » Isabella is a cat changeling who was partly involved in Nergal's capture as a youth. She gave Luthe information which put the entire plot in motion. She didn't think that Luthe would actually succeed and vastly underestimated the lengths he'd go to. Isabella worked for Bael, but she is also a bit of a double agent. She works for him only to keep certain people she cares about safe. Currently, she is not played in the game and has not been formally re-introduced to any plot lines.
Mandara » Mandara is an aoide and considers herself to be servant to Echo; one from the past that was recently re-awoken to serve her. Since the Lady Echo has been busy, Mandara has taken it upon herself to watch over her children, much to their dismay. She is fatally cheerful and overly helpful. Her many arms are the bane to Sotiris' existence as so far she is the only person who is capable of capturing and holding him still for things like haircuts and baths. Sotiris despises her, but tolerates her because she bakes really good cookies.
