Thread Rp Hyacinth watches shyly on the outskirt of the thread.-Andromeda: Noticing the shy outside observer Andromeda places a pleasant smile on her face and approaches slowly. "Hello there." She calls sweetly.Hyacinth: Embarrassed, lowers her eyes and her head droops slightly. Her brows furrow together as she tries to respond properly. "Pretty." She had heard this word, said to her many times. She knew it was a good word.Andromeda: It was a strange response but a response none the less, and a very nice one at that. Bowing her head gently so as not to startle the poor dear she smiled happily. "Yes, pretty." Raising her head she tucked it in as though motioning toward herself. "Andromeda, I am Andromeda." Hyacinth: Watches Andromeda carefully, trying to understand. Andromeda? That was an awfully big word. Was that some kind of plant? She repeated the word questioningly. "And-womeda...?"Andromeda: Her name didn't come out exactly right, but at least the mare had tried. Giving a reassuring nod she continued. "My name, Andromeda. What is yours?" She enunciated each word quietly, speaking slowly so she may be easily understood.Draven: *Wanders close to the two mares, one he thought he could smell human on. snorting from beneath his armored face plate, his duel wings fidgeted at his sides. Were there humans here too? dark blue eyes glancing at the shadows, he wandered a little closer to the slow speaking mare, Hyacinth* Hyacinth: She lifted her head, a bright gleam in her eye. The other was pleased, which gave her a little more confidence. Name. Andromeda. She knew what a name was, everybody at the menagerie had "names". She felt a little silly for thinking it was a plant. "Name, Hyacinth." She spoke her name proudly, but then she saw another approaching. This one was larger, and male. She had never met a male before.Andromeda: Her wings flapped happily as the other understood her introduction. "Hyacinth, pretty." She commented with a nod. She noticed the male only after Hyacinth did, angling her body so she could look at both of them while speaking she bowed her head to the male in greeting. "Good evening sir." She said pleasantly.

Draven eyed both the mares as he stopped a distance away from them, his head raising a little to scent the air. He had to wonder why one mare smelt like humans, he hated the 'pests' with a passion. Dark eyes narrowed themselves as he turned his attention away from the human scented mare to the other one that greeted him. "Evening" was the only work uttered from him before he looked back to Hyacinth. "You smell of human"
Though it was kinda obvious to those that knew the scent, it was certainly making the armored stallion edgy as he lowered his masked head. The three sharp spikes that protruded its front looking quite dangerous. A threatening jester it was, but he wouldn't use those spikes, not on those of his 'kin'. Humans, they were another story. The larger set of his duel wings stretched themselves to his sides as he watched the mare carefully. Ears ever alert.

Hyacinth watched the stallion carefully, a quizzical expression crossing her face. She didn't quite understand what he was saying, except for the word human. She smiled and nodded at Draven. "The Keeper." She said, in a matter-of-fact manner. The Keeper was a human, really the only human she had ever been in contact with. He was always gentle and kind. He fed her, groomed her, and trained her.
Hyacinth didn't view Draven's actions as a threat. She had never been threatened, or in danger. She really had no concept of such things. They looked similar to something she herself was trained to do, so she assumed that, since this one knew something of humans, he was telling her to dance.. She mimicked his actions, lowering her head and fanning out her wings. "Dance, dance!" She exclaimed, then started to prance about Andromeda.

Her courteousness shifted quickly to skepticism as the body language of the male changed. The evidence pointed quite obviously to the fact that he had an issue with humans or the way they smelled. Without thinking she closed the space between herself and Hyacinth, instantly becoming protective of the mare she had only just met. Her muscles tensed as she grew uneasy but she managed to keep a polite smile upon her face so as not to draw too much attention. After all, she did not wish to startle the stallion any more than he already was. She was just about to comment on Hyacinth’s remark about ‘the keeper’ when the mare began to prance around her.
She couldn’t help but to allow for a gentle laugh as her new companion danced around her gleefully. “Pretty dance.” Andromeda commented softly, prancing gracefully in place so as to hopefully diffuse the situation. Turning her glowing eyes upon the stallion she again bowed her head, attempting to let him know they meant no harm, and that humans were not around. “My name is Andromeda, and this pretty prancing mare is Hyacinth.” She offered delicately, stopping her prancing and assuming a more serious posture. She needed to make him feel at ease so they could all enjoy one another’s company rather than feeling tension.

((Hey guys, just posting to let you know Hyacinth does have wings. I accidentally posted her WIP instead of her finished uncert. Sorry if that lead to either of you being confused about her magically having wings in RP, LOL!))

Draven glared at the half-witted mare that suddenly started to prance around the other. Clearly her head wasn't on her shoulders in the same way his was. what brain she might have had was lost in a sea of emptiness. Taking his attention off the prancing mare he turned his attention towards the one that became protective. "All I see is a human raised sow. Nothing that has a name, a mindless beast of human production." Harsh words yes, but words that came to him easily seeing his own mother was nothing more then human breeding stock many years ago.
Draven was indeed an older stallion, one who had seen much in his time with and away from humans. He had the scars of his human owners, ones that marred his body from being as perfect as it should have been. Though his coat was starting to thicken and fill in over some of his scars, most were still clearly visible where his mane didn't cover. Folding his larger wings down again, he turned his head away from the mares. The name my sire gave me is Draven" Making a point to not mention the name his human, a wealthy brat had given him. It was one that he wished and had almost forgotten until he found this, Hyacinth, who smelt like a human.
"How many humans followed you to this land?" he asked Hyacinth, ignoring Andromeda, he was ready to muscle his way past her if he had to, he never tried to harm anyone, but would do so to get answers.

Hyacinth finished her dance with a low bow towards the other two. "Carrot?" She always received a carrot for a good dance. Maybe one of them knew where to find one. The Stallion, Draven, appeared to be thoroughly unimpressed. Did she not dance well enough?
Again, all she could understand was his name. And he spoke an awful lot about humans. Was he lost and looking for his human? Did he want to talk to her about humans? "Dwaven?" She paused for a moment. If he wanted to talk about humans, she would tell him all about her gentle human. "The Keeper. Human." She tried to remember other words. "Hyacinth dance. Carrot. Friends."The Keeper had always said he and Hyacinth were friends. Then she remembered something else The Keeper always told her. "Pretty Hyacinth. The Keeper love Hyacinth." but Hyacinth never knew what it meant. Maybe this one would know.

Andromeda was absolutely appalled by this brash stallion’s behavior toward Hyacinth. Her body went rigid as she stared at him in utter disbelief. Had he truly just said such horrid things about a Kirin he hadn’t ever met? She was so caught off guard by the scene she didn’t even hear Hyacinth ask for a carrot. “How can you speak so cruelly of someone you have just barely met?” Though she was burning within she kept a level and calm tone, frustration wasn’t something she normally encountered but this was a rare situation. Rather than allowing her guard to go down she felt even more protective of the mare beside her.
The stallion spoke his name but Andromeda hardly heard it, her ears were ringing from his earlier comment. She was very glad that Hyacinth seemingly hadn’t understood, but felt that by her speaking of humans she would further upset him. Obviously this situation would not lack tension, and frankly, she didn’t appreciate the way this stallion was treating Hyacinth and herself. Raising her head she made it evident she would not be so easily pushed aside should he want to bring harm to anyone here. “Pleasure.” She returned without gusto.
Turning her attention to Hyacinth she listened to the description of the ‘keeper.’ To her knowledge Andromeda had never encountered a human, but there was a gaping hole in her memory that had yet to be filled. From what she could make out the human had loved Hyacinth and had taken joy in being around her. She eyed the stallion curiously as he questioned how many had followed her. She would allow Hyacinth to answer the question but she would be there should anything happen.

"And what have you to say about it?" Draven snapped at Andromeda. He stalked a little closer, his eyes watching the mare before looking back towards the human scented mare. His wings flicking a little he watched the both of them. If there weren't any humans coming for this strange purple colored mare. Then perhaps he acted a little too quickly, but with humans there was no telling when they would pop up out of no where. "Not all humans are as caring, mine was far from it." Draven muttered turning his head away, some of the scars that marred his body showing through his mane and from under his armor.
"But if your human loved you so much, why didn't you just stay there?" While he didn't know if the mare could understand his question, it had to be asked. He was glad to be away from his abusive human, glad that they probably died when the homeland ceased to exist. With a nervous tail flick, Draven stood waiting for answers, some that might not even come in the first place.

She heard Draven's words and tried to comprehend them. Steady. Stay. The Keeper said this when grooming her and she began to fidget. Steady. Stay. Stay was not to move. Not to move from The Keeper. But, Hyacinth didn't want to move from The Keeper. She was forced to move. Leave! Go away! The strange man had yelled at her, chasing her out of what had been her home for as long as she could remember. But outside of her home... was what looked like more home. It smelled different, but looked the same. Dead! Your master is dead! Leave! Go away! She didn't know much about the word dead. Not what it truly meant. But, she knew enough to understand that it meant she would never see him again. "Dead." She let the word fall flatly out of her mouth.
But, while she missed The Keeper, she could never find anything wrong with this place. It wasn't strange, or frightening. The lack of carrots was a bit disappointing, and she wasn't very good at finding food. She was always hungry. There were lots of others who looked like her, and still more that did not. Her curiosity about this new "home" was endless.

Her eyes narrowed at the stallion and she remained with a sour expression aimed his way for a moment before inhaling deeply and allowing some of the tension to dissipate. “It is just wrong.” She responded simply. Giving others a chance to allow someone to get to know them was always a value Andromeda treasured. It was hard to pass judgment on someone when first getting to know them, and she had to keep it in mind even with this brash male. Though she was still upset she could still understand where he may have been coming from concerning the human situation. Seeing the scars painting his body a little more clearly now painted a broader picture. Sighing she adjusted herself so she was no longer taking a defensive position. “I am sorry to hear you were mistreated, but just as some humans aren’t caring there are still some who are.” She hadn’t ever encountered a human from what she could remember but hearing Hyacinth’s tale made her believe there had to be at least one good one.
Her mood drooped a little when Hyacinth explained why she was no longer at the side of her human. Death was one of those almighty forces that parted loved ones. A small smile of comfort spread over the mare’s maw and she leaned a little into the mare, showing her she was there for her if she ever had need. “I’m sorry Hyacinth.” She cooed.Sorry it took so long ladies!
