There's still a lot of speculation revolving the release of Guild Wars 2.
Some say it's end June/begin July, other say it's August or even November.
I've found this interesting article on updt.me

Guild Wars 2 Retail Ad Shows June 28 Release Date [UPDATE]

Kotaku has obtained this photo of an advertisement for Guild Wars 2, seen at a Fry's retailer in Texas.
As you can see, the ad says ArenaNet's massively multi-player online game, which is currently in beta, will be out on June 28.
So is it legit? On one hand, retailers tend to use placeholder release dates that are often based on estimates more than reality. (GameStop, for example, says the game will be out on June 26th.)
On the other hand, this poster is a little more concrete than your average game retailer's database. It's a printed, physical object.
I've reached out to Guild Wars publisher NCsoft for comment and will update should they choose to respond.
Update: Here's a statement from NCsoft:
"We have not released an official launch date within 2012 as feedback from our closed and open marketing betas will help us determine an exact release date. We will release Guild Wars 2 when it is ready."

The only source I trust is ArenaNet.

That said, I think it's really annoying that game stores put up false release date just to sell more copies. Gamestop has been sued for it but it didn't go through. I think it's a pretty bad practice to lie like that.

I'm hoping for it to be out around July/August but I won't hold my breath.

I'm hoping mid June to be honest. I'm in Spain til June 8th; it would be nice to play GW2 when I'm home again, haha.

I'm honestly hoping for about August or September. I know that might sound a little weird; but the reason for it is due closely to my job. Summer is a busy time where I work, as is October, November, and December due to the Holidays (I work in a liquor store). Things should however slow down a bit during August and September, so I'd actually have the time to play is as excessively as I'm likely to want.

Still, I approve of ArenaNet's motto. "It'll be released when it's finished". That honestly sounds like the best answer to me. It means they aren't going to rush this. They'll release the game when they honestly believe it's as good as it can be.

based on some stuff i read recently; I'm gonna have to say.... I'd think no sooner than August.. but.. even that feels early based on what they're saying.

They said there is one more beta for sure, but i personally think there will be at least 2 more betas. So about a month between each beta, and you are at the middle of August already. Give them another month to put finishing touches and tweaks on it, so I am guessing no sooner than September....

Anet is working dillegently on guild wars 2 though, they are even ignoring the first guild wars a bit too much.

I am thinking 4th quarter at the earliest, and at least 2 more weekend beta's. This is based purely on the fact that we have yet to see either the Asura or Sylvari as playable races so far, which means that they are still being heavily worked on, thus telling me that final release is still a bit far out. emotion_drool

Regardless of how great the game is now, there's still a good amount of tweaking it's going to need to undergo before it's ready for full-release. So I'd say Q4.
