I don't really get the Vita; from what I've seen, it appears to be nothing more than an alternative method to play your PS3 games (I assume it also plays PSP games). What's the deal with it?

New added features that the PSP didn't have like the dual analog sticks and the touch screen etc. Just an upgraded psp. I wouldn't get one as I still have my good PSP but I do kinda like the new features that it has to offer that the PSP didn't have.

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured...
I got tired of PSP real fast; some good games, but the god damned things' cases break if you so much as look at 'em wrong! Every SINGLE one I bought did it, no matter how delicately I handled them.
Personally, I have no intention of spending that much money for the priviledges of seeing "disc read error" in slightly higher definition than I was before, and playing my PS3 games on a screen 1/60th the size of the one I'm looking at right now.

Its been a bit since i have posted anything but the vita isnt just something to play your ps3 games on there are some games you can play on anything but the ps vita(uncharted GA, Resistance Burning Skies, Unit 13, Ragnarok Odyssy, Assasins Creed Liberation, COD Black Ops Declassified). Also the Vita doesnt run UMDs it runs games either downloadable or on cards like the ds(i was a little sad about that)

It's been a year since these posts were made. Has anyone purchased a vita or are you still using your PSP?
Personally, I have my Vita for personal use and my PSP for interactive use, since me and my sister like playing Gods Eater Burst Together.
I want to move all the games that ARE downloadable over to the psvita and those that aren't to stay available to me via the PSP.

I might look into Tales From The Borderlands if its released for the vita I might be getting Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z on the vita, but seeing as the list of characters sucks (for my tastes), I might just wait for Ragnarok Oddyssey Ace. I wish Gods Eater 2 was being ported, though. I'm a huge fan of Burst.
