It's come to my attention - well it's been bothering me for a while actually - that the gyms for this region aren't set up very well at all. Some of them are dual-type gyms and as we're all probably aware that doesn't really make sense if we're running by the game. The gyms and E4 all represent ONE specific type specialty while have dual type Pokes that have a secondary typing that doesn't overpower their "main" typing (Dark-Grass; the main typing would be Dark) and that's not really what we're seeing here.
Mono-type gyms: Blyse: Flying; Addobe: Ground; Deres: Dark; Braitto: Electric; Genesia: Dragon
Dual-type gyms: Fort Ammoa: Steel-fire; Mosnia: Bug-Grass; Zidoa Island: Water-Psychic
These three gyms need to pick one type to represent as their main type. Once that's done we can get the E4 straightened out because they're going to have to pick one team NOT REPRESENTED BY THE GYMS to act as their main type.
The E4 has so far: Fighting type being owned by Beastman_Veeral. Kaze Espada's character Max is supposed to represent SOMETHING but I've no clue as to what.
IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: The teams that a gym leader/E4 uses in matches should be considered to be "on loan" from the league and they DO NOT level up. This means that if one of them is traveling around the region for whatever reason the team they have with them is their personal team and the team they use in gym battles may mirror or be close to their personal team. It might be completely different but they will NEVER level up.
Below are the types still left unrepresented in a mono-type setting. We need to decide from among them what the gyms should be counted as.
Normal Fire Water Grass Poison Ground Psychic Rock Ice Bug Ghost Steel
Personally I think that Fort Ammoa should be Steel, Mosnia should be Grass, Zidoa should be Ghost because honestly it's known for its graveyard.

What's with all the awesome music references in this guild lately? 4laugh
And I was wondering about that when we were restarting. Anyway, I think that what you put it is good. The fort is obviously known for it's fort so steel would be good match for it. I don't remember what up with the other two towns off the top of my head right now, but they sound right.

VincentValintine LimitBrk What's with all the awesome music references in this guild lately? 4laugh Because we're all just that awesome. ;D Quote: And I was wondering about that when we were restarting. I don't remember what up with the other two towns off the top of my head right now, but they sound right. Steel sounds right to me. Mosnia Valley - Mosnia is found next to the Icunga Forest and lies in the valley of Mount Somia and Mount Fros. Trainers gather here to prepare for the hike up the freezing Mountain of Fros. Some trainers however prefer not to walk so instead they take the train up the mountain to Iclea Town. The train is an advanced version of the Battle Cruise found in Blyse City. Advanced trainers battle here on their way up the mountain. Entrance to the train however is denied until the Jade Badge is obtained by the Mosnia gym leader. Zidoa Island - For trainers who prefer a slightly warmer environment why not skip the mountain and head over to the ferry which will take you to Zidoa Island. Zidoa is a small island in the middle of Lake Claire. It's home to the holder of the Intuitive Badge. A special gym leader that specializes in both Water and Psychic types. Zidoa also has a contest hall that holds random contests. If you like weirdness Zidoa is the place to be. That's all that's really said about them. Zidoa could honestly be a Water type gym. It IS an island after all.

I'd say that Mosnia is more fit to be an Ice-type Gym, though I can see Bug or Grass working just as well. With Zidoa, yeah, it's gotta be either Ghost or Water.
Then again, these were the gyms set up by the owners, so I don't know if that should be changed without their consent.
I personally want to see a Mono-Poison or a Mono-Normal E4 member. But yeah, what type is Max supposed to represent anyway? Kaze, your thoughts?

I'm just going to be a retard for a moment. So no online backhanding me! emotion_donotwant
Considering Zidoa has been described as WARM, meaning semi-tropical.... can you honestly imagine a ghost gym there? Indefinitely water or MAYBE fire if the place had a hot spring. Lavaridge anyone?

Graveyard or not I got the vibe that it's a bit of a cheery place. Now if the place was a little more down tune and colder I could totally imagine it being a great spot.

Not everything goes on about its one key feature. Gen III proved that with Mossdeep City. But that's all I will say on this matter.

I thought Max was representing Ground-type, given his Mammoswine/Garchomp/etc. Veeral's going for a "colossal" team - picking the biggest of the big Pokemon for his use (so Rhyperior, Wailord, Snorlax, etc.).
Other than that, I say we SHOULD probably reduce the Gyms down to one type. I think Zidoa works best as a Psychic-Gym, since it's ASUDE that's known for the graveyard, isn't it? I remember Zidoa being psychically-inclined, which is one of the many reasons I seeded psychics there. Mosnia can be Bug - I'm a fan of Bugs, personally xD - but Grass works just as well. I don't really care one way or another for Ammoa, but I do like Steel over Fire.

Okay I agree that Zidoa should probably be a Psychic gym (if only because I'm biased XDD) and if not that then AT LEAST a Water one. I thought Grass for Mosnia because the name reminds me of moss. I think it should be steel for Ammoa simply because it's a fort.

Yeah, Mosnia should probably be grass because of the name, and it's location. As it's between the mountains and a forest it would probably be heavy forested around the area and even the mountains would have plants up to a certain elevation. The bugs probably wouldn't have as much of an area around there.
Zidoa should probably be Psychic. *nods*
And I would like to see an E4 member use the Normal type as there hasn't been one yet.

Meh, I'm just hyped up about my idea for a Slowking/Slowbro combo if I get the position. It could be water or psychic in any case.
Although I'll vote water. Cause I'm a hater.
