The Invitation As you walk down the sidewalk of the road at night where you were told to find this building that offered you a hope to escape your diseased fate and a place to call home, you begin to wonder where exactly it is that you are going. This area, the hospital down the street aside, seems like a place that was almost the complete opposite of that offered... in other words.. it didn't quite seem the like the nicest of neighborhoods, though it wasn't exactly terrible either. Well, deciding since you were already here and almost pretty certain that this was not some sort of black market scam where your organs are stolen, you come across the correct address at last. An apartment building. Huh. An odd place considering the invitation seemed so... officially medical. Staring at the door, you debate on turning around now.. this small town semi-creepy vibe not doing too much for your nerves, but as you ponder it, the door creeks open. Standing in the doorway was now a shadowy figure of a woman, and just by the silhouette you could tell that she seemed sickly as well. You couldn't tell there was a smile on her face, but the tone of her voice as she welcomed you almost excitedly gave you at least a bit more comfort. "Welcome! I'm so glad you could make it! We have much to do so please... make your way in now." Standing aside, her arm stretching out to bade you welcome into the building, you can't help but enter now. As you do, you see her form more clearly in the light and you know you were right, but something about her also made you feel at ease that she could seem so... cheery? Not only that, but the inside of the building seemed much more welcoming. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. "Come~ Follow me. We must get started on your paper work and interview."

Now I bet you are asking yourself "What this is?" and also have other questions as well. Well here is where you will find your answers. Question: What is this place? Answer: This is the recruiting "office" for the Morbus vampire clan, a very different clan of those in the vampire ranks. Question: Why are you asking for those who are sick or dying? Answer: Well this clan has very... specific tastes. They do not feed on the blood of those who are healthy and wouldn't turn someone who was. [though there are rare occasions, but this isn't one of them] It would leave quite the terrible taste in their mouths as healthy blood turns to ash in them. Besides.. who better to spend eternity with, than those who you can relate to? Question: Where can I find out more about this clan? Answer: Well right here of course [Not open for posting just yet] Question: Why should my Faekat want to be a part of this clan? It's not as.. glamorous as others. Answer: Well why wouldn't they want to be a part of it?... Especially if they are sick or dying? Wouldn't it be nice to put off that pesky thing known as mortality? Question: Does my Faekat have to be sick or dying to be embraced? Answer: Yes they do. Sorry healthy Kats, but we can't have you. Question: My Faekat had a blank background before now. Can I make them a background of being sick or dying to try and get them into the clan? Answer: Well... sure I suppose, but it would be a lifestyle choice for your Faekat. If they don't end up embraced, your Faekat and you will have to live with that choice. Question: How long will this be lasting? Answer: We will be taking paper work for those interested from April 30th til May 7th. After that we will be looking over the applicants and interviewing them to see how they will fare with are particular brand of after-lifestyle from May 8th til the 10th. Question: How many Faekat will be embraced at the end of this? Answer: We hope to embrace three to add to our ranks, no more than that. Question: What will be happening to my Faekat if they are accepted into the clan? Answer: icy serenade [myself] will be giving them a new look to fit in with the clan. Since those in this clan end up with a different body type after becoming part of it, they will more than likely be completely redone over just adding edits. If you would like to see examples of my work, you can look hereOnce they are a part of the clan they can RP and such in the clan thread and all that fun stuff Question: This clan seems totally awesome! My Faekat wants to join! Answer: That's not a question, but HELL YEAH! Important Notes:
The following races cannot become vampires: Ottsels, Banshees, Faelon, Fae'jinn, and any "Elite" or "Special" races
Morbus to Mekhet relations: Yes, Morbus is in fact a bloodline of the clan Mekhet for those that are curious. Fortunately, bloodlines do act as if they're a sub-clan, especially since some of the bloodlines do not get along with their parent clan. Though the Mekhet do not care for the Morbus, the Morbus can blend in with their parent clan. The Morbus, in this shop, are more self-sufficient, but they do need and use their parent clan For listing purposes, it is indeed a bloodline of a main clan. Uncert [[only if you have it ;; not required]]
Name: Broken Beauty
Disease: Enter in a short description of what ails you here
My disease, I am dying. Well, so far all that has been dying is my skin. Ever since I hatched my skin has been way too dry no mater how much water I drunk, ow how moist the air was. And as I got older it only got worse. After I was no longer a child it started to crack, and get bald spots where my fur refused to grow. And now the cracking is so bad at times it bleeds. I have seen spots on my skin that just, look dead. I fear it will someday leave me with no fur, no skin, even fear it may move to more then just my skin someday.
((basically it is necrosis that so fare has only effected his skin.))
Background: Tell us a bit about yourself
I am the son of a brave, adventurous and lovely faefax named Barbarella. Growing up with her was never boring, she was always in some sort of adventure, some kind of trouble, or off fighting demons or doing some crazy job for someone. I was always at her side. But do to my disease and the fact we were always moving about, I have never had a single friend in my life.
I myself am brave I think, I have to deal with the pain my illness gives me every day. I never look at death as something to fear, it is another step in life. Just not one I want to go to, I rather suffer my illness the leave this world. There is still far too much I want to do.
Why: Why do you want to join the Morbus Clan?
I want to feel I belong someone. I want to know I am not the only one in this world suffering everyday. I want to be able to still have a fighter's life, for the heat of battle has always thrilled me, made me feel I can be more then just a diseased faefox no one wants to look at. I want to be around those who understand how the world is with someone that is slowly killing you, always letting itself be known.
Notes: Anything else we should know about you?
I have a sister somewhere in this world. I do not know if she goes through the same pain I do, but I can somehow sense that she is still alive. After she hatched my mother lost her. She was in a crib with me when we were put to bed one night and the next morning she was gone. My mother never could find her, never know if she was taken or just crawled away. Because of this my mother has always been so afraid to lose me, and always made sure I knew she loved me. But lately she has because so scared to look at me. She tries to hide it, but I can see the fear in in her eyes. And with her finally finding her true love, a healthy mate, a gorgeous angel of a man, I feel I do not belong in her world any longer.
((He is a son from a Mix and Match breeding. He does not know it, but his father was a Zombie, so that is what caused his illness.))

Uncert **Do not have. Name: - Fatin Hx’hlkaDisease: Enter in a short description of what ails you here. - Currently, the worst aliment that I have is hemoptysis. I also suffer from anemia and the less physical depression disorder. Picking up her pen, she held her hand over her mouth, giving as delicate a cough as she could manage when all she wanted to do was choke and hack. When she pulled her hand away from her lips, she blatantly--ignorantly--ignored the bright, foamy stain of blood on her palm. Immediately, she went back to writing. Hemoptysis is just a fancy way of saying I cough up blood. It resulted from me getting pneumonia continuously. The stress on my lungs damaged them to the point that even the slightest cold turns into something possibly fatal. Every day is a struggle to breath. Background: Tell us a bit about yourself. - Chewing her bottom lip, she stared at the command glaring back at her in the stark contrast of black and white. Slowly, her pen shaking, she began to write. A long time ago, I was an assistant to a very nice witch. She was teaching me herbal magic. Her sister wasn’t as nice as she was, and she was jealous that so many people loved the both of us and not her. In a fit, she cursed me, taking away my beauty. Ashamed, I ran. I have been running since. By the time she’d written those few lines, she was once again slightly self conscious. Just from those few lines, she relived the event. Scooting herself more firmly into the side and back of her chair, she tried to make herself as small as possible, trying to hide. Why: Why do you want to join the Morbus Clan? - I want to join you because… Pausing, she thought, her brows coming together as she wheezed softly. Her throat was raw and burning. Distracting her from why she’d really come here as she reached for the glass of water on the desk. Bringing it to her lips, she sipped delicately until she’d alleviated most of the pain. As bad as my past is, and as bad as life it at the moment, there has to be something better. Your offer is for companionship, family. That would make me happy again. That’s all I want.Notes: Anything else we should know about you? - Here, Fatin’s pen paused over the paper. Her fingers flipped the writing utensil between her thumb and forefinger as she thought. Was there anything else about her that was important? Hmmmm… Her thoughts were interrupted as she succumbed to a sudden bout of coughing. Unable to stop the coughs, she shook her head, pushing the paperwork--with it’s new pretty red stain in the shape of her fingers--across the desk.

Uncert Timidly, Raku moved towards the building as the door opened. Maybe this was a bad idea? She had never been this far away from the forest she lived in before, she was no City Fae-Rider, so this new place was so... huge to her. As she sees the silhouette she almost turns and runs, but then the welcome she gave calmed the small girl. Maybe this was a good choice after all. Looking at the other she was sure she felt a connection. This woman surely understood what she was going through. And she smiles as she comes in, now seeing her even better, now certain about her understanding, for she looked worse off then Raku was herself. Yet, she was happy.Yes, this was the right place for her. Riku followed and when she got her place to work, she started. Both small hands holding the quill, as she walks over and dips it in ink, then walks back to the paper to start writing. Name: Rakuyō Kaede Disease: Enter in a short description of what ails you here I am infected with Cryptcoccus gattii, which has caused many effects to happen within me. The natural reservoir of C. gattii seems to be soil and plant debris, and it has been associated with numerous tree species. This is where I have been thought to have got it. As I gather leaves from all over to make beds and other items for the wild Fae-Riders. When inhaled, this encapsulated basidiomycetous yeast had infect me. It started out just effecting me by causing me to cough a lot and have shortness of breath. But it has grown to many other things to me. Including the red lesions I have in my eyes, that are always freaking people out when they notice, saying it looks like my eyes are bleeding. And Skin lesions have been forming, so for they only look like small bumps, blisters. But It is sure to get worse. And I often am going through spells of fevers, Nausea, Night sweats, Severe headaches, Muscle soreness, and the scariest moment was when I has a Sharp chest pain that wasn't going away, thankfully it finally did. And I also seem to be having moments where I have the most inappropriate mood swings, where someone can just say thanks for a leaf bed I made then and I'll start yelling at them. Background: Tell us a bit about yourself Not much to tell really. I was born to the parents Rapid and Tai Kaede, a Fae-Rider and a FaeHawk. They loved me, I grow up. I left home and started my Leaf Bed business. I always did love leaves, playing in them all the time when I was growing up. But my business was all I focused on for a long time, and when I started getting sick I started loosing friends. And now I have no interest is ever finding anyone to love me, I just want to not have everyone I know always looking at me like I am going to kill them just by touching them. My illness is not contagious, it is just very scary and I've been told it can be deadly if I can not find some help for it. Why: Why do you want to join the Morbus Clan? To not be looked at like I am death. I want people I can talk to, do things with. I want a purpose. I love my business and always want to do it, but I feel there has to be more for me then just this illness. I am hoping I can find it here. Notes: Anything else we should know about you? I am a Fae-Rider, so I am tiny. But I am not defenseless. I am very skilled at riding on birds, so can travel places very quickly. And I have a venom that can shrink my enemies to my size. I even shrunk a demon once! Although only long enough to run away. So if a danger ever entered here, I could try and help keep everyone safe.

As she watched the applicants fill out their forms, she sat back, crossing one leg over the other. Each one was so different and seemed to fill out their forms with much emotion... something they wouldn't have to worry much for if they were clan material. taking the paperwork from each as they finished and handed them to her, she nodded to each of them. "Please wait here. It make take me a little time to go over these, but since you are all here, if you are to move on to the next part of the process.. well I'd like to do that right away. There are refreshments over there. Please help yourselves." Nodding to them once again, she turned and went into her office to start the painstaking process of figuring out if they would fit into the clan life.
After almost an hour, she stepped out from her office, holding a new set of papers and back into the room where they all sat. Looking to each of them she then smiled. "After much deliberation I have decided each of you shall move onto the interview part of the process. If you seem like you will do well with us after that, well... we will see" Congrats you guys! Next step! You have three days to fill out this next part. After that Ishta and I will be deciding if your Faes will become part of the clan! Ishta: Now our clan is not held in high respects of others. Would it bother you to be a part of something that you may be looked down upon if others were to find out? [[Rakuyō Kaede]]: [[Not at all. I have never cared how others feel about things I do or friends I have. Everyone always found it odd me playing in leaves instead of practicing my rider skills with them, but never stopped me. My family thought my leaf bed business was a stupid idea, did not stop me. If I feel it is where I belong, then what others think is not going to stop me.]]
Ishta: We have very specific... tastes in what we have to feed on... others who are sickly and dying. Would doing so bother you considering your current condition? [[Rakuyō Kaede]]: [[I have ate the meat of a sick rat before. It didn’t bother me so I would think nothing would.]]
Ishta: Following the previous question. Now we can't just turn others all willy nilly, even when they mortality comes to take them. How would you handle the situation? [[Rakuyō Kaede]]: [[ Turn, you mean help them like you are offering for me? I guess say sorry. I have turned Fae-Riders down in my business before, for many reasons. Sometimes I just don’t have the supply I need at the time. All you can really do when you cannot give someone something they want is say sorry and move on.]]
Ishta: Some of our own clan have come to see how our.. afterlives are, themselves, as a curse that needs curing. Do you still want to be a part of something that others feel needs a cure? [[Rakuyō Kaede]]: [[Sure. Heck, I have met Faekats that think Fae-Riders need a cure for how small we are, and it NEVER once made me wish I wasn’t me.]]
Ishta: And my last question for you is... Well some, if not most of our clan, prefer to hide within that of our parent clan to keep our status hidden and a secret. Would you be able to keep the secrets of those who wish to stay hidden? [[Rakuyō Kaede]]: [[Yes, I never told a secret I was given to anyone. Do not plan to start doing it now.]]

Ishta: Now our clan is not held in high respects of others. Would it bother you to be a part of something that you may be looked down upon if others were to find out? [[Broken Beauty]]: [["I learned from my mother to never regret any choice you make, never let anyone around you decide how to feel about something. If you are going to help me by me joining this clan, then I will never care how those around me feel about my new family."]]
Ishta: We have very specific... tastes in what we have to feed on... others who are sickly and dying. Would doing so bother you considering your current condition? [[Broken Beauty]]: [["I eat dying things all the time. I have never been a vegetarian, and really never understood them. And I have my flesh falling on me, even my lips, so I really don’t have a weak stomach at all. And, being honesty here, I seem to want rare meats more and more lately. Some I do not think anything I would need to eat here would bother me."]]
Ishta: Following the previous question. Now we can't just turn others all willy nilly, even when they mortality comes to take them. How would you handle the situation? [[Broken Beauty]]: [[ Broken was a little confused by this. Turn? Was this place going give him a treatment that was to change him in some way. For the moment he was going to take it as that. "Can’t save everyone, I understand that. It is a hard choice to deal with I am sure, I know very well I am one of those choices for you right now even. I get that not everyone can stop their illness from destroying them. Not everyone can handle the treatment you have here. So how would I handle the situation? Hope something gives them what they need and tell them sorry but they cannot find it with me." He really hoped that did not sound too coldhearted. ]]
Ishta: Some of our own clan have come to see how our.. afterlives are, themselves, as a curse that needs curing. Do you still want to be a part of something that others feel needs a cure? [[Broken Beauty]]: [["Afterlives, that is a different way to refer to a change in your life. But I guess that is how it would me. This clan of yours can give me a now life, a life after this one I have now. I would rather any “curse” other than this one I have now. I would see whatever you can do for me as the cure, so yes, I still want this."]]
Ishta: And my last question for you is... Well some, if not most of our clan, prefer to hide within that of our parent clan to keep our status hidden and a secret. Would you be able to keep the secrets of those who wish to stay hidden? [[Broken Beauty]]: [["Yes, secrets can be important things. I am guessing this must be come kind of experimental cures bass? Like a side clinic to a hospital, working in it, hiding in it to make sure it cannot be shut does. I would keep any secret to keep this clan doing its operations." ]]

After interviewing each Fae, Ishta thanked them for their interviews and lead them back to the room with refreshments. "I just need to go over a few things before making my final decision. I don't think I shall be long. And of course.. help yourself to what is still here while you wait." Bowing her head, a smile still on her face, she turned around to go back to her office.
And she was right. She was gone for maybe 15 minutes at most before coming back to the room, still all smiles. "After spending some time and going over everything told to me... I think I would like to welcome each of you into our family. You all seem to want a place to belong and what you've all said has lead me to believe you will do just fine with us."
Her long fingers laced together and her arms were lax in front of her body, taking the chance to look each of them in the eye. "I have to get some things ready before you can... settle in here, not that you have to live here, so if you'd like to go and take care of what needs to be taken care of, then please do so. Just keep in mind that you can't tell anyone. I expect to see you all back here in a day or two." She smiled, those fangs of hers peeking out just slightly. She was pleased with her new clanmates to be. Pixy Max Just a note for you The FaeRiders can only take other Rider Vampires as mates with how their venom works. Kandey did a post about it during one of the other recruitments so it's slightly newer information. If you need me to hunt it down for you, just let me know, kay <3 Congrats you guys! Your Faekats shall shortly be one of the Morbus~ I'm so glad you guys entered... each of the Faes seemed like they would fit so perfectly I shall be starting on their redos today, taking them one at a time. I have to do the Rider and Moose templates still, but they don't take me too long to do ^ ^
If you have any interest in RPing out their being embraced when their new form is ready, please let me know! I'd love to do that. The clan forum will also be open to them once they are finished for RP and such
Also I apologize for the lateness of this you guys. I've had a few really crazy days where I've been a little down, but you don't know how happy it makes me to be able to bring your Faes into this clan. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I promise I'll double check things with the higher Faekat power if I'm unsure about something XD <3 Expect newly vamped Faekats soon!
