Dirt and dust was thrown into the air as the caravan of Armored Vehicles hurried down the road at a hastened pace. The local area was mostly desert, with a few trees and scattered farms here and there, and some mountains around the area. The caravan consisted of Five Armored Humvees with Grenade launchers with Gas grenades, attached in place of the .50 Cal machine guns, five M25 Trucks, four filled with troops, while pulling tanks, two Leopard II’s, one T-90, and one M1A2 Abrams. The fifth truck was carrying Live ammunition for the soldiers and a few live tank rounds in case things got heated. After the Caravan was within five miles of the target they began to stop, then the Radio came on, Brigadier General Thomas Pryor voice poured out of the speaker.
“Alright men, this would be a good time to get out and stretch your legs but listen to what I have to say. This is the first of the Army’s solo operation. Until now almost all of you have been kept in the dark to what we are doing out here. We are in the country of Tajikistan, heading for the city of Istaravshan. There are riots running rampant in the streets, and we are being sent into the country to quiet down the riots. You have all been given ten clips of ammunition. Five are rubber bullets, five are live ammunition. The live ammunition is not to be used unless you are being fired upon by actual weapons from the rioters. Rocks and dirt clods are assumed to be thrown at, so you are all going to have to deal with this.
You have also been given only tear gas as an explosive grenade, no lethal grenades are given. To all tanks, you are not to use the main gun, unless it is an absolute last resort, I don’t want any collateral damage from them. Your main objective is to intimidate the rioters into suppression, they may calm down a bit from seeing the tanks. And to all tanks, unload from the trucks now, we are entering the city. The fifth truck we have that is not pulling a tank or holding soldiers is holding extra ammunition for all tanks and for all individual weapons. This is Brigadier General Thomas Pryor, out.”
The sound of tank engines filled the air as General Thomas Pryor signed off of the Radio, the Operation was underway.
