OOC This RP is for Hunters only thank you, though you may read at your own interest. 04.17.2012 12:00 pm (local time) The thirty minutes went quickly, the base all but abandoned by now as all Hunters, sans the trainees and a few people from the Antarctic team. Upon a light ushering that time was up, they too filed through the portal-
- And for a second saw nothing, the sudden contrast of light to almost absolute darkness at the most disorienting. Slowly their eyes were able to pick up a few things: the flicker of a flashlight, the light glow of weapons, a path traced by runic daggers against the ground.
"Follow the marked path, debriefing for phase two will begin outside." That was a familiar Death Division leader's voice through the headset, their current whereabouts unknown. It took a while, especially since almost all the Hunters had already exited, for trainees to figure out at least where they were. At random intervals, where the marked daggers on the ground strayed away from, they could see dead ends, and hints of potential traps, not unlike the Lair some encountered in the last Amazon mission. Walking a little further reconfirmed a few of their suspicions: they were in a complex labyrinth. OOC: NAVIGATING THE LABYRINTH Navigating the labyrinth itself is simple, as the trainees may have noticed they seem to be moving and spreading out further away from where they started, the problem is that even though the daggers mark the way, there are still random traps that spring up. Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice rolls to the results below. This is how much damage you take. You need to continue rolling until they find the exit, in which case they can mark their location as EXIT. Please mark your trainees HP value and LOCATION as seen by dice rolls below, you CAN communicate with anyone else in your location if you'd like, only briefly, as you should find the exit ASAP. At the exit, is where the other Hunters are waiting, try not to talk too much as there are a few familiar faces there who would rather see your trainee six feet under. - Note: YOUR TRAINEE IS FULLY HEALED by the time they arrived and rested a bit in the last base. - IF YOUR TRAINEE HITS 10 hp or LESS AT ANY POINT, the next post they make is IMMEDIATELY THE EXIT1-20 - LOCATION NAME: DEAD END ZONE A You hear a strange hissing noise nearby - just moving quickly enough to avoid a spear shooting towards you. However, your Fear shield still takes damage. -5 HP 21 - 40 - LOCATION NAME: TRAP ZONE A You trigger a trap - spikes/ rocks/ hammers/ arrows (your choice really), come sailing at you, and you barely manage to deflect it, but injure your leg/arm/side (choose) in the process. You need to spend a second to patch up. - 10 HP 41 - 60 - LOCATION NAME: DEAD END ZONE B You hear a noise, a strange whispering sound, but following it makes you reach a dead end. 61 - 80 - LOCATION NAME TRAP ZONE B It is pitch black, it is dark, you can't hear anything. You need to make it out, but you can't see anything ahead of you, you hear rumbling sounds, as if the walls are closing in on you. You make a run for it as everything seems to get smaller and smaller around you... you barely squeeze out of the walls just in time as it grazes your Fear shield. - 5 HP 81- 100 - LOCATION NAME: LABYRINTH OUTSKIRTS You make it to the "end" of the labyrinth, where you can see several Hunters and almost all the division leads (Aria, Caelius, Allan), and notice that each group has been divided by division, which you should head towards to. The Life division looks a little sad, and as any Moon Hunters pass by, they are requested to back up the Life division. - THE DIVISIONS ARE SPLITTING UP, MOON HUNTERS PLEASE ROLL A 6-sided dice to determine where to go. DEATH HUNTERS PLEASE FOLLOW THE GROUP: HERELIFE AND MOON HUNTERS WHO ROLL ODD PLEASE FOLLOW THE GROUP: HERESUN HUNTERS AND MOON HUNTERS WHO ROLL EVEN PLEASE FOLLOW THE GROUP: HEREMIST HUNTERS PLEASE FOLLOW THE GROUP: HEREOOC: Equipment on the Isles - The Hunters are at a strange location, though some may figure out that they aren't in Kansas any more, it is a far stretch of the imagination to even figure out they are on the Four Clans... for now. - However cell phones have stopped working ie: texts cannot be sent or received, you can open cell phones to look at old texts, but not send new ones, nothing else is transmitting [ Communications Device: ] If your Hunter has a communications device, it works similar to a walkie talkie. There is only one channel for the trainees to talk in, anyone with a communications device can talk on it, and everyone else with a device can POTENTIALLY hear it. Simply QUOTE Communications Device in your quote and then the content you want to say to it. Follow this up by quoting the people you are addressing in case they are in another thread so they know! [ Special Pendant: ] Currently, attempting to use the pendant does nothing, but if your trainee finds themselves at dangerously low HP below 0 with no other resources, the pendant will immediately warp your trainee back HERE. You can only use this one, and can quote as many people as you'd like to bring back with. Once back, it is an OOC 6 hours to recover before you can use the same pendant to warp back to your designated area. This effect can only be used once. You may not restock on items when you are back, all the items are gone at this point! [Headsets: ] It is assumed all Hunters are wearing the headsets but they only go one way.. (ie: Div leads and assistants can talk into it but not the other way around) [ All Other Items: ] All other items such as bandages, torches, etc are one time use, they do stack with your default runic items (Which you can only carry one of). When using them, don't forget to quote their effect and your targets so that everyone knows!

Clerise hissed at the fact that they were in a...maze.
Thing. She proceeded through the area as best she could, but, well.
The whispering led to a dead end. Lame. Time to circle back.

Were those walls moving.
They were moving, goddamnit, bullshit--
Clerise barely managed to squeeze out of the walls, heart pounding in her throat.

Adjusting to the sudden change in light was almost painful. It took a lot of quick blinking and strange faces for Feng to finally be able to move without bumping into anything, and even then he wasn't sure it was a sure thing. He glanced around the maze of a path they would have to get through and sighed. This was going to be tough.
But a whispering sound caught his ear, and he followed it. Whispering could mean wind. Which might mean a doorway. But in the end it was just a dead end.

And then there was rumbling.

[[Entering]]
A maze. Well goddammit. She didn't want no stinkin' Maze!
She'd just..
try to get out in one piece and see how that turned out for her. Because this didn't really seem like a place she wanted to die in, but she also didn't want to die at all. So she'd go with that battle plan. However, she ended up making a wrong turn and a barrage of arrows came flying out from a dead end.
HIT THE FLOOR!
Nicodemus barely had to flood the reaction into her head before she slammed herself into the floor, a litter of the arrows going up her side and into her FEAR shield.
It could have been worse.
But the pair laid there panting for a while.

Saya hated going through labyrinths, they were always boobytrapped. She thought this only happened in the games but in real life, game over was not a restartable gameover.
AHHH ARROWS WERE FLYING.
Saya panicked, running faster .. but not fast enough, her side hit by a stray arrow. She clutched her side, running frantically to a spot where the arrows ceased to shoot. Did being a moon come handy in these situations?

((ENTERING YEAH LET'S DO THIS))
Candace was not happy about the sudden light change. She nearly fell on her face stumbling into the place. She was glad when she was able to see bits of light, rubbing her eyes and groaning. They still burned from earlier. Damn. She was tired. Let's see...oh! This way.
Caelius' voice made her roll her eyes, toying with the communication device. Right. Get through the labyrinth. Got it.
She really saw no issues with following a simple path. Candace made it out of the maze with absolutely no trouble.
Like.
Seriously.
Was there even a maze here? Did she just walk down a single path? Were there any ways she could have gone to get lost? Did her walkway branch out? Candace didn't believe this was actually a maze.

Stepping through the portal, Deryk found himself somewhere that he really wasn't sure where he was. It didn't help that he could barely see anything around him. Blinking slowly, he heard Caelius's voice over the headset, in which he started to go ahead and follow the marked path. Unfortunately for him, he ended up stumbling at some point, triggering a trap.
"AAAAH!" he cried out as he suddenly felt an arrow or something sharp hit him in the side. That hurt!

He turned and headed in a new direction, trying to rely on more than just his sight. Which helped, honestly, because when he heard a strange whir of noise he moved out of the way just in time to see an arrow whiz past his head. There were traps here? Good god. This was worse than he'd thought.
