SO GUYS. As y'all may have found out on facebook, I have a rave daughter now! Her name's Katie and she's a cutie pie. And she's 14. FOURTEEN!! She's young enough that she makes me, a person who is adamantly against twenty-somethings declaring that they feel old, feel old as balls!!

Anyway, my rave daughter, Katie. She has yet to go to a rave, at all. I think all she knows of the scene is how to make kandi.

I'm... in need of some rave-momming tips, guys. I've been kinda quiet on the rave front for about a year, although the whole time I've been positively itching to get back into it, and now I have a really big reason to. And how do I safely introduce a young high-schooler to raving?

Well I've never raised a rave child, so I have no clue on that, but I have introduced all kinds of people to the scene who were newbies, so I guess I could offer advice on how I did that.

So all the people I have introduced to raving pretty much throw them to the fire. I took them to a rave with me and explained things like what E is and kandi and all that jazz, but for the most part let them make there own experiences. Acourse I was always watching out for them and making sure they didn't take stuff they shouldn't have, but still not overly bearing. Then from there it was sort of up to them if they wanted to know more. As much as I love to talk about raving to people I don't want to force the issue if they don't want to learn more you know.
