✦ Name: Kenley ✦ Pronunciation:KEHN-lee ✦ Name Meaning: "Dweller at the royal meadow" in Old English; "Wolf head" in Gaelic ✦ Gender: Male ✦ Stage: Teen ✦ Sexuality/Status: Likely Straight / Has a wicked crush on a certain ledian... ✦ Height: 4' 10" ✦ Weight: Lightweight; rather below-average ✦ Pokémon: Shiny Silcoon ✦ Nature: Adamant (conceited)
✦ Myers-Briggs Type:ENTJ (rational type, fieldmarshal role-variant) ✦ Personality: Under the influence of a series of events that happened late into his larval stage, Kenley has developed severe trust issues. He has a prideful image of himself that he feels he must uphold, and therefore holds himself in extremely high regards. As such, Kenley doesn't believe he can be in the wrong, even with loose guesses. He can get defensive in the wake of disagreement, and although he's not the trigger-happy violent type, he won't be above threatening the same thing as a bluff. Despite being so twisted inside, he can be rather protective of those -- individuals and objects alike -- that he holds dear, even to the point of being possessive. ✦ Likes: Embittered by life, Kenley would be apt to prove there is little in life he really enjoys anymore. This, of course, would be another trademark bluff on his part. He enjoys winning, in any and all sense of the word; due to this, has a rather competitive outlook on life. He greatly enjoys compliments, though he isn't the best at returning such sentiments. Agreeableness on others' part is something he holds in high esteem, especially with the pedestal he seems to place on himself. He does enjoy the company of others, but has a tendency to corrupt his own chances at accessing it. ✦ Dislikes: There are many things that Kenley will openly state that he hates or disagrees with, but the truth of the matter is that he tends to fear anything else hurting him emotionally. With the barriers in place, he is prone to fooling himself into believing his own lies, which make dissecting his dislikes a little hazy. Some things are more obvious, however: he dislikes violent individuals, argument from other parties but himself, dislike aimed at him, and pickled things. Everything else he may mention is up for debate. ✦ Other Quirks: When Kenley struck out on his own, he managed to take refuge in a forest nearby town; since then, he has taken it upon himself to claim the entire expanse of forest regardless of who -- or what -- was living there before him. While likening himself to royalty, his temperament tips more and more toward ferality as time wears on, pinning him to something more like a lost boy than what he would otherwise think of himself. Due to a concussion earned when he transformed into a poké-child, Kenley is highly susceptible to migraines.
✦ Approx. Level: 8 ✦ Ability: Shield Dust - Nullifies status ailments caused by chance side effects 100%, unless that's all the move does.

While Kenley once had a trainer, he no longer likes to refer to the individual. As far as he is concerned, there will never be anybody who could rule over him, and possibly never was.

Through most of his young life, Kenley was a rather pampered shiny wurmple. He hadn't lived a long one, but all things considered, he was very content to stay where he was, not feeling the need to search out a direction in his life or grasp at goals for himself. One didn't need all that when they were treated so well, and left to marinate in such spoils. He was always kept happy, and although he never had all the money in the world to pursue whims, he didn't really need it. However, this all came crashing down (rather abruptly to one who hadn't paid attention to his trainers' trials), and Kenley soon found himself switching lifestyles without time to adapt. This led to a harsh rebellion on the wurmple's part, but despite the glaring obviousness to the contrary, he would never admit to any mistake being made on his part.

Kenley is a self-proclaimed orphan and has emancipated himself from society. For all intents and purposes, there has never been anything here.

Lilly - Manipulative, loud, and none too friendly, Lilly seemed to like to do an awful lot of malicious teasing for one that looked like a flower. That rose didn't have thorns, she had poisoned talons! First Seen: Child (Lilly) / Pokémon (Kenley) || Last Seen: Child (Lilly) / Pokémon (Kenley)
Honey - A bit more understanding than her lilligant cohort, but she packed more of a physical wallop! Looking back, it was quite admirable for her to defend her friend... but Gust is painful! At least Honey could see some of both sides of the conflict, despite the fact the teasing was still more than a little aggravating. First Seen: Child (Honey) / Pokémon (Kenley) || Last Seen: Child (Honey) / Pokémon (Kenley)
Rime Chronos - While still terrified of all things avian, Kenley can at least admit that Rime was... okay. Terribly focused on trying to find adventure where the wurmple was sure it was a lost cause, but at least the articuno was in tune with how he should be reacting. He also gets points for showing Kenley the proper respect and bowing upon introduction; now why can't more pokémon do that? First Seen: Pokémon (Rime) / Child (Kenley) || Last Seen: Pokémon (Rime) / Child (Kenley)
Arashi - A loudmouthed kid that seemed eager to pick a fight, despite Kenley giving him every option to leave without conflict. The wurmple cannot honestly see him as anything short of annoying, especially when the eevee's first instinct was to throw sand everywhere. Learn some manners! First Seen: Child (Both) || Last Seen: Child (Both)
Bastet - Likely the only pokémon Kenley's ever been scared of that wasn't a bird. For someone who likes to act prim and proper, she's certainly got a sharp tongue! And claws... and a vicious temper. Kenley will prefer to stay on the tree limb and away from her paws, thankyouverymuch. First Seen: Pokémon (Bastet) / Child (Kenley) || Last Seen: Pokémon (Bastet) / Child (Kenley)
Lorne - Well wasn't he a sassy little brat? It didn't help that the purrloin was expressly trying to pester and distract him, which is surprisingly easy to do... So in that regard, he's good at his job? To be honest, as much as Lorne irritated Kenley, he didn't turn out to be too bad a guy. He can still just... go over there, though. Go. First Seen: Pokémon (Lorne) / Child (Kenley) || Last Seen: Pokémon (Lorne) / Child (Kenley)
Calliope - The two of them may have gotten off on the wrong foot, and Calli maaaay have gotten Kenley thinking about how he reacts to those that wander into his own territory; it's not so pleasant when the tables are turned. She currently has his okay to visit the forest when she wants. First Seen: Pokémon (Calliope) / Child (Kenley) || Last Seen: Pokémon (Calliope) / Child (Kenley)
Frank - The massive onix utterly destroyed a large section of his forest, and for that, Kenley isn't going to be completely forgiving. She couldn't seem to stop herself, and she still offered to help pick up the mess... not to mention she was rather compliant after she was knocked out. And the crying. Ugh, why does he feel sorry for her? First Seen: Pokémon (Frank) / Child (Kenley) || Last Seen: Pokémon (Frank) / Child (Kenley)
Mycah - Where the heck did he come from and why is he pointing those knives at him? D< Kenley is still confused by this turn of events, and he's not getting any answers. First Seen: Pokémon (Mycah) / Child (Kenley) || Last Seen: Pokémon (Mycah) / Child (Kenley)
Carwyn - Meeting in progress First Seen: Teen (Both) || Last Seen: Teen (Both)
Lyla - She has got to be one of the most loud-mouthed, bossy, arrogant, irritatingly... nice people ever. Didn't she think he was a jerk? Then... why did she come back? Could she be any more utterly baffling!? First Seen: Child (Lyla) / Teen (Kenley) || Last Seen: Child (Lyla) / Teen (Kenley)

A long patch of forest with a river to the north and a field to the south, Kenley has proclaimed that the strip of trees is his home, regardless of what it may have been before his arrival. He guards the land like a fortress, taking daily patrols around a mile-long perimeter to secure it from anything he deems as a threat (which is... just about anything that wanders in). While he states that the entire stretch of trees belongs to him, he has never actually surveyed the whole thing, sticking to the western side so as not to stretch his watch too thin.
The area that Kenley keeps to is heavily cropped with older trees, some of them seeming to be growing a tad too close together. The boy keeps watch to make sure "his towers" don't get too dried out or greedy with the rain supply, and will protect them from any other pests that may cause harm to them. There is a clearing around the middle of the area he has staked his guard on, and when not on patrol, will generally stick close by. There are shrubs flanking the clearing, providing for cover should Kenley need the extra help, some of which will also provide berries when healthy enough.

Kenley struck out on his own with little forethought into the matter, and therefore brought along with him next to nothing. This may change in time, but for now, he has next to nothing but himself and his surroundings to call his own.
✦ Tiara: While a striking reminder of the past he has left behind, Kenley cannot motivate himself to like this ornament any less than when he had first received it from his old trainer. He has given the excuse that it prompts the insect to take into consideration how far he's come since he left home, but in all honesty, he just really likes the pretty thing.
✦ The Forest: No, a patch of land that one arbitrarily laid claim to is not a possession, but one would be hard-pressed to find adequate words to get that through Kenley's head. He is extremely possessive of the area, and will fight with all he's got to keep it in his grasp.
