Upon arriving from the portal, an attendant was already waiting for the students dressed, her outfit plain compared to the last ambassadors of War, dressed only in simple cloths with minimal feather decorations. She nodded shortly, briefly, at the students arriving. Several students may have noticed by now how high up they were: though they were in what was notably a large, wooden room, the strange creaking of the floorboards moving underneath them betrayed their height. A few open windows and doors also revealed thick tree canopy, and temporary elevators that lead down, very far down.

"This is our Clan of War." As emphasis, she thumped her spear against the wooden floor. "We value your skills, your ability, and your physical prowess and will continue to test you, as students, as warriors. You will be given temporary sleeping quarters, but starting tomorrow, you will begin the first of your classes and training field exercises. You will have free time to explore various areas after your studies, which will begin shortly this week. Now, follow me to your resting quarters."

... Vaith was certainly coughing up less sand than war.

Vaith couldnt have stepped into more opposite extremes, the deserts of Famine and then the canopies of war. If this was how it was, he almost really wanted to see Conquest and Death. Vaith looked around to see who was taking the class with him, as last time lacked many people he knew

It was hard to miss Mai, Aurian and Lacie. At the familiar sight of their silhouettes he knew so well, he made a silent little fist pump, reminding himself to approach them later. But for now, he stared at the ghouls of death in constant admiration and amazement.

He hated to say it aloud but the war clan was incredibly attractive. Or at least, in comparison to bony ribs and ghouls eating moths and livers. Not that it hadn't contributed to what Vaith thought was a great deal of character development. Famine's alchemy had been amazing. What was War going to be like?

Lacie, having come from the death clan looked no worse for wear. She found her time there rather pleasant, and would certainly take their class again if offered the opportunity.

She spotted Vaith, giving a wave over to him. It's nice that they were taking the same class. She looked rather relieved.

Still, she let her gaze be drawn to the war clan's attendant. She looked forward to exploring the war clan. Although she made a note not to look too far down, or wander near any railings.

One couldn't be too careful.

Well this was, ahhhh... different.

So used to Conquest, Fallow's ears flicked like defective little things towards each and every sound as they were shown to somewhere very, very high up. Which was at least a lot better than very, very far down. Fallow shivered at the thought from head to toe, his body convulsing slightly before he stilled again and stamped from foot to foot, forgetting the previous experiences in favor of the ones still to come from this new and interesting place. War was so much different, and he hoped it would be so very fun as well.

Curling his lips upward into a smile, the Púca listened with a bit more attention to the attendant here than he had at the orientation back in the Conquest Isles. Nodding his head and bouncing along in a nearly Mea-type fashion, Fallow paused in his step to wonder, where was Mea? And the rest of his herd for that matter. Scratching an ear, the Púca did an entire circle around and looked through the crowd, keening softly until he spotted a familiar floppy eared girl. "Mea," He called, trotting over to her after the attendant was done speaking, "Mea, Mea. Hellooo." It seemed like the attendant was leading them away already, and with perked ears, he tugged gently on her sleeve. "Let's go; this place looks much more exciting than the last one. And far more, ah," He glanced over at the railings and winced at the idea of falling off of one of them, "dangerous."

But that was all part of the fun, wasn't it?

Stepping out of the portal, Aurian's first thoughts were stolen away by the view. So high up and so green. Unlike several who hung back from the edges, Aurian gladly moved closer and leaned out over the edge for a better look. The entire city was built up in the trees! She gazed out at the platforms and structures wrapped around trunks and branches. She was so busy being impressed that it took her a few minutes to find one flaw... There were absolutely no bridges or walkways between the trees.

"Um, excuse, I think we're missing-" Aurian piped up and turned to face their guide. Their guide who had wings. Oh dear.

Aurian's expression fell. "Well. Time to brush up on my leaping skills." It might be okay. Maybe she wouldn't fall to her doom (or just to broken bones, more likely). Alright, she needed a distraction. Now. Searching the other students around her, Aurian's smile returned as she noted some very familiar faces.

"Vaith! Lacie! Mai!" she called out in greeting, waving an arm madly at her friends. There was one in particular she hadn't seen in some time. "Vaith!" she called again, trotting over to his side and throwing her arms around him. Hugs fixed everything! Arms still around him, Aurian beamed up at the male Reaper. "I haven't seen you since-"

Oh. The moment Aurian met his eyes, she realised that wasn't true. She'd seen him quite recently, in fact. Or an older version of him, a possible future Vaith. Blood rushed to Aurian's face, staining her cheeks a feverish red. The incredibly good-looking older Vaith who had been (would be? might be?) a general in her army, and apparently also someone who shared -

Aurian squeaked, dropping her arms and taking a step back -

- her bed.

Eyes sliding off to one side, Aurian wondered how she was ever going to look Vaith in the eye again.

Sniffing wildly, Alamea could feel the sweet scent of Conquest give way to an airy, light scent as she passed through to the War Clan. Where before she could see out to the ocean and beautiful architecture, she could now see far off over the trees and to a greater beyond. How freeing it was to be in such a place! Mea shuddered in excitement and moved among the ground in a near frenzy.

Over-stimulation was assaulting her senses at every new scent or sound she could hear from far off and she bounced happily while her tail twitched to join in. Just the presence of a new crowd of students had her completely offset with excitement. It was nearly blinding her ability to remember certain important things. Over the breeze she heard it, calling to her while her eyes were cemented beyond a near window and she turned with a happy squeak.

"Fallow! Did you follow me?!" Bounding over, she took both of his hands when he tugged against her sleeve. "Dangerous but so exciting! Just look out there!" She said with a point beyond the railings, to the far reaches of the island's horizon. "I'd say it was breathtaking, but that would indicate I would feel like dying, right? And I don't feel anything like that!"

Oh she could almost pull the Puca straight into a hug, but she refrained and nodded back to him quickly, stopping after a moment.

"Got a snack?"

If there was one thing he was suddenly glad he wasn't afraid of, it was heights. Julian wasn't sure how well he would be able to fly in these trees, but at least he had the comfort of know that he was capable of it, should anything bad happen.
His attention had wandered, but it was quickly drawn back when the clanswoman spoke and thumped her spear on the floor. Skills, ability, prowess as warriors... He wasn't sure how well he would do in this place, but the point wasn't to shine, at least not for him. No, he needed to learn, to be a better fighter and protecter.

Hopefully he would learn as much here as he did in Death, maybe even more. Either way, at least he was ready to try.
Not recognizing anyone else currently around, he kept his attention on their host.

Mercy was ushered through the next portal to her week two area. Maybe she picked the wrong class, for she was no warrior. She had yet to make friends with anyone, and combining that with her class failures she felt like she was probably not going to make it through this class. Either way, she left to get to her dorm or to a training course or something.

Zurine was rather glad to be off the isle of Famine - at least this place, despite the fact that they were quite high up in the tree's apparently seemed a bit more vibrant and she absolutely adored the feathers their ambassador was wearing. Seriously she needed to see about buying some feathers to wear when she got home again, maybe some pink ones.

She wasa bit worried about the whole 'war' thing though - I mean really she didn't always have the best of luck when it came to fighting things, that was kind of a side effect of being horribly clumsy..but oh well she was here and there wasn't anything she could do but well..her best.

After everything that had happened on the Isle of Famine, Sparrow wasn't quite certain how well he would be able to adjust to relocating to a new island - especially one that was focused on things other than what he had been learning previously. However, he was very pleased with the opportunity as it was, and excited to be able to see a different culture of the Four Clans.

When he arrived through the portal, the horseman attendant that greeted them was an older woman with surprisingly plain clothing, all in varying shades of black or brown, with a few feathers woven into her air. Sparrow greeted her politely with a smile and a nod, but soon found himself peering down at the floorboards beneath his feet, which were creaking rather...precariously - and Sparrow had the distinct impression that there was nothing beneath the floorboards but air. There were luscious green leaves and thick brown tree branches visible through the windows as well.

He really did not want to know how high up they were.

Sparrow listened silently to their instructions, his fingers linked behind his back, not daring to move too much. He nodded as she finished, glancing around to see if there were others he knew - he caught sight of Vaith several feet away, the reaper from the Famine isle, and he gave him a small smile and a cheerful wave before he followed the horseman out through the doors and down to their temporary residences for the week.

Kettil and Endzela really liked this place. It spoke to them for various reasons, the aesthetics of this area appealed to them much more - not that they disliked the place that the Horsemen of Death had set up for themselves it just ... Wasn't then. They listened to the speaker and then they followed along to the dorms quietly not really having much to say.

When you have nothing to say it was always best to keep your mouth shut, or so mother claimed.

It seemed like sound advice as they meandered off to the dorms.

West was already smiling when he emerged from the portal and set foot onto the Isle of War. It seemed as though he'd barely had time to get back to his room, make sure Master wasn't dead, hide the ring he had made with the Death clan, and turn around again, but he didn't mind the whirlwind pace. From the moment he stepped out onto the creaking floorboards, he knew this was the island for him. Sure, he lacked the ability to fly with natural abilities on lockdown, but he wasn't going to fall. Right?

The wrath demon offered a brief nod of greeting to the War clanswoman waiting to receive them, then followed her to the dorms.

The tatzel ghoul wasn't sure of what to expect from this isle, but she could only imagine having seen Eris fight. Would there be more fight-driven horsewomen within this isle? Levi's grin got wider when she passed through the portal and saw that it was a warrior horsewoman who greeted them.

Sighing like she had already begun to enjoy her experience on the Isle of War, the ghoul noted some pink hair and horns before listening closely to the one who greeted them again. They'd head to the dorms first... and then- the classes would begin. Here we go!

Clyde emerged from the portal looking a bit worn for the count. The sandy isle of Famine was definitely something interesting, full of learning, and a bit too sandy for his taste. However the new environment known as the isle of War was very welcoming. The difference was striking and to think they were in the same general area.

He took in a deep breath before giving the orientation room a once around and was a little surprised to see three others who were on the Famine isle with him. The varcolac thought once and twice over whether he should greet them or not, and chose the latter (feeling slightly awkward) and left the area. They have classes soon anyways, he can greet them later.

[[ Entering & Exiting ]]

It was certainly not as long-winded a speech as she'd experienced when they reached Conquest last time. Not to mention the group seemed to be quite a bit smaller, this time around. Amarus recognized some faces here and there, but didn't feel it necessary to approach anyone, yet. For the most part, she was concentrating on not thinking about how high up they were.

It wasn't that she was afraid of heights: she'd climbed the book shelves at Amityville considerably high, and often liked to scale buildings or sit in trees. But this was so abominably high, and she didn't have her natural ability working properly, and everything felt very ... not sturdy. It was one thing to climb up when it was reliant on her own strength, but another thing entirely to be subject to the sturdiness of a building someone else had made.

Not pleasant.

Amarus tried to ignore the glaring lack of structural integrity, but there was very little else to focus on. In the end, rather than linger particularly, she would head out on her way. She tried to think of what to do first... When would classes begin, first of all? She didn't want to be late for that; it was why they were really here, after all. That, and for cultural purposes. She, like some of the others, had remarked that the War women were quite beautiful. Beautiful and strong, it seemed like, which meant that Amarus developed an instant crush on pretty much all the war horsemen she saw. And would probably continue to do with every one subsequently.

She was about to say hello to Sparrow, but was slow on the uptake, as when she looked back up she didn't see him. In any case, he was probably still there, just... somewhere else amidst the students. Hmm. She was sure she'd see him later in class, anyway. Perhaps she should go to the dorms, and struggle with a skellyphone for the first time? That might allow her to contact Faustus. She had forgotten to ask if Olivia or JackB had skellyphones, so it looked like she wouldn't be talking to either of them any time soon. Then, Amarus realized that in her moment of not paying attention, the War clansman who had greeted them had already said she would lead them to their dorms. Well, that took care of that question. Amarus just... followed everyone else, tried not to fall off anything really high, and kept to herself.

She would have to try infinitely harder this week not to ruin anything, as if they were constantly at altitudes this high she was much more likely to maim herself than she had been, say, swimming amidst and contaminating the sacred lotus flowers at Conquest.
