It's a lot of work to get rewards. Spent a whole day on it, if not a bit more.
But I really liked this grunny fur coat. I had to make an avi around it. sweatdrop
I find this, and a lot of recent events, boring and almost not worth the trouble.

I agree - I just couldn't be bothered. Most of the items are so ugly, and this site doesn't keep me interested enough to be able to click around for hours.

Since I was going for one of the hard items, I figured I'd be investing a lot of time and may as well do the rest.
I hated almost all of it. gonk
Only side benefit: I now qualify for megathread, once I unlock it. This only took 3 hours of posting. This sort of event makes that achievement easy.

Most of the events seem to boil down to lots of posting and collecting random junk. I can't be bothered to put in the time anymore.

But I normally don't post anywhere. (I've been lurking and posting sometimes in CB, AT, and GCD recently, but that's abnormal.)
Everyone here has good avis, but no one sees them. Thus, no one says they're good.
Also, all events have become pretty robotic. The last events I enjoyed were the flash fighting events (that Ghosts Halloween event, Summer Camps, Dark Elf Invasion, etc); the best and most interesting was the old Grombie skin grant in '06, IMO.
I only participate in them if I have time and want at least one of the rewards, and usually, it's just enough to get what I want. I just... went overboard on this one. sweatdrop

as far as I remember events have always been pretty tedious, but when I was in high school I didn't really care. Now I unfortunately have better things to do with my time than look around for stray pixels.
But I want all the achievement points. crying

I've been collecting grunsters for the coat because my god that coat
its amazing
i may end up buying it off the marketplace soon though, I can't handle endlessly quoting an NPC and crapping up my posting history.
