Is a lot harder than I thought it would be. X.x Long story short I get paid just to demonstrate our product for people and they don't have to buy anything but it's getting harder and harder to even get people set up for a demo.
And with all the people that do always only wanting 7pm I'm definitely not making 10 appointments a week. X.x;

Where do you have to demonstrate it?

We demonstrate them at their houses comparing their kitchen knives to our brand. We also have some kind of online demo where we show videos of the product but they haven't trained us on how to use that yet.

Asher2501 We demonstrate them at their houses comparing their kitchen knives to our brand. We also have some kind of online demo where we show videos of the product but they haven't trained us on how to use that yet. Do you work for that Vector company? I think that's what it's called... I remember about four or five years ago, they called me up and offered me an interview out of nowhere. It's hard enough to get an interview when applying for jobs, to have some random company call me and offer me one when I hadn't even applied seemed really weird. Plus they wouldn't tell me much about the company or what I'd be doing. So I looked them up online and saw that it was selling knives but you have to pay for the knives up front and then sell them yourself to get any money. And there were all sorts of bad reviews about the company, saying they liked to target college students with little or no experience and that the job is basically a scam because they get your money and then it's pretty much impossible to find people to sell to. You would have to happen to know a lot of people who would even want to buy kitchen knives, so unless you knew a lot of people already who you could sell to, you probably wouldn't make any money. If I were you, I'd quit that job and look for another one. Seems like a waste of time and money.

Yeah... sweatdrop Except we didn't have to buy the sample kit, it's basically on loan while we work for them. And maybe someone dropped them your name thinking you'd be interested in working for them? o.o; As far as I know, no cold calling is allowed period.
But anyway, I have been looking at other postings but nowhere I look will really work with my class schedule.

Cutco Knives, I take it? Yeah, I went to an interview with them last summer. Decided not to take the job simply because of their insane requirements for an appointment to even get paid. Honestly, I'd start looking for another job.

Yeah, that company is a scam. I worked there, my grandma bought knives, they never sent them, she cancelled the order, then they tried to make me pay them back for what they paid me for selling them.
But not just my experience, everyone I know who has worked there has said they were a scam.
