How the Desert was Made
Why Slide would make a good legendary: Slide began as unchanging in nature, as fixed as the stars overhead. Now, that is all beginning to slowly creak into motion. He is wild and cautious and knows the borderlands and its harsh territories like the back of his head; however, for all of his staid, stoic and slightly ascerbic nature, he understands -- completely -- the need for dreams, the need to chase those dreams, and he would not hold such things against any kin. Since meeting Meets-the-Sea he has become much more in-tune with himself, able to (usually) control his reactions to anything (minus Longstride, who gets under his skin like a burr). He is intent on making his cave into a meeting-place for travelers and a home for his rapidly growing family. Since meeting Meets, he has begun to appreciate people and life more, but he is still pulled to the desert he has never seen, a place he has no idea how to get to, to see if he can find the sandworms of his dream.
