Original CastleTEAM MEMBERS: Mandy ([ X_Bleeding Roses_X ]), Astra (poke mattix), Yuki (Hitsuzen) and Claire (childs menu) GENERAL SANDCASTLE STATS TOTAL HP: 0/120 TOTAL OFFENSE 6 TOTAL DEFENSE: 6 TOTAL STABILITY: 3 ENVIRONMENT ITEMS USED: Seaweed x2: +3 defense, -3 stability Tiny Hermit Crab x2: +3 offense, -3 stability Sand Dollar: +20 HP, -5 stability SIGNATURE and BONUS items DAILY STATUS EFFECT GO TO THE DAILY STATUS EFFECTS THREAD to update the status! Apply stats as necessary. Current: The contestants have been shrunk and now have to survive attacks upon their sandcastle! This round they have all been hit by a wave! They must now quickly rebuild the foundations of their castles.

It was a amazing feeling, to be following the secretary with hundreds of onlookers cheering for you. Astra could not stop beaming. The excitement was getting to her, making her jumpy and unable to stop giggling at the slightest provocation.
As she neared the portal, she looked around the crowd for signs of her parents. Had they turned up to see her? She hoped so, cause she wanted to show them just how go-
"MOMMY! HI MOM HI DAD! DADDD!" The fairy shouted as loud as she could (which wasn't that loud) when she saw both parents in the crowd, waving ecstatically. She didn't have time to talk to them however, as she was soon through the portal.
On the other side, she listened to instructions on what they had to do, then quickly went to were her team was located.
"thisisgreatthisisgreatwe'regonnabuildasandcastleomgomg!" She spoke quite fast, her wings softly buzzing as she darted here and there looking for materials to use on their castle.

Her coat fluttered in the breeze making a majestic sight with the glittering of her chainmail, freshly polished and checked. She was ready - well rested, well fed and raring for the daunting challenges that lay ahead. Death, mayhem, lost limbs and lost sanity. This was going to be a fight for the history books.
She stepped through the portal, head high, to the sounds of the crowd beyond and the waves hissing softly across the sand.
"What...."
Let her amend that earlier list; Death, mayhem and sandcastles. Sheeeeeeee was a little lost now. And kind hot, coats and chainmail weren't great beach wear.
Walking with her team towards their designated spot she surveyed her land and found herself displeased. This was bullshit frankly.
What was dangerous about sandcastles?
Mandy let out a great heavy sigh. Well... at least Astra seemed excited.
"So...ah. Design ideas?" she asked half-heartedly trying to get the fairy to calm down as she shrugged off her coat and chainmail, putting them by their flag.

Design ideas? Well, Astra may have had a few..
"I know I know!" She stretched her arms out wide. "A really really big castle! And it's gotta have a moat, and a gate, and lots of flags on it! Then you have some windows, and we can build cannons, and lots of stuff, and - HOLY JACK LOOK AT ALL THE WATER!"
She was soon flying around the edge of the sea, amazed at just how big the sea was. "It stretches on forever!"

"That'll just- I don’t- How would you even- Where- ASTRA CHILL NOW." Mandy threw her hands up in the air in exasperation. She hadn’t been this excitable last time right? Mandy hadn’t like... blotted that out or something?
"Look, look. First we have to choose between a clam, starfish, fake bird, bucket of water, wood and a fish ok? Then you can go design crazy."
There, look. She was compromising. As she did this she glanced towards Claire and Yuki wondering how they were taking the beach and if they had any helpful input.

Hearing the drop bear's request for her to 'chill out', Astra paused in her excitement, took a deep breath, and then flew back to where mandy was. "Okay!" She said. Although she was still smiling too much for her own good.
"Hmm..." She then thought about which item would be the best to use. It was hard to pick though; she had no idea what each item was supposed to do. Eventually she decided on one of them.
"I think we should choose the bird one" She said. "Cause it might keep away the real ones flying in the sky". She then turned her attention to Yuki and Claire. "What do you guys think?" She grinned at them both, "And what kind of sand castle do you guys want? Do you guys want some sticks? or maybe some seaweed, or those little crabs! Yeah, we could have a army of crabs!"
And Astra was off again.

Well, everything was certainly a buzz of excitement! The aura around the crowd near the portals was (mostly) not something to make one dread a decision to be involved in the Trials.
The scene they stepped out onto was actually a very pleasant surprise. The fact that all they had to do was build a sand castle made this all the more exciting. It was something fun, and not dangerous.
Well, at least he figured that this couldn't possibly be dangerous.
It was also really hard to worry about anything while he was watching Astra flutter around in childlike glee. He couldn't help but smile, managing to withhold his laughter for the most when Mandy started trying to converse with the fae as she went giddy with the possibilities.
Yuki nodded to Astra's suggestion toward the fake bird. "That sounds like a good assumption... The other stuff is probably just mostly for the look of the thing? I'm not sure... What I do know is that we need to be sure to give it a strong base, or it won't be nearly sturdy enough once it starts to dry, let alone when the tide comes in."

Mandy may have been giving Yuki adoring looks for actually being calm and thinking about this. "That sounds like a good plan. Do you want to start on the base then? I'll just go try and find our army of crabs....."
She kind of trailed off and then hightailed it to her search.
....what she wasn't avoiding the actual building at all. Noooooope.
Look it's not like she'd ever learnt this stuff and Yuki sounded confident ok?
Mandy ended up spending a pleasant ten minutes strolling up and down the sea side looking through the various detritus, ending up finding two little hermit crabs for their army, some weird flat thing and a few pieces of seaweed.
Humming happily she dumbed her catch back by their flag, watching semi-amused as the hermit crabs tried to slowly run away before turning to the rest of her team, "How's it shaping up?"

As soon as Mandy had walked off to start finding the crabs, Astra went head first (almost literally) into the sand, scooping it up, patting it down and molding it into it's proper place, then repeating the process. For someone so small, it looked like her building wasn't going to go very fast, but somehow she managed to keep up a good pace.
...For about 10 minutes.
She then slumped backwards,pausing in thought before suddenly jumping up and flying off. "I'll go get some seaweed!" She called out. Because she needed seaweed for her ultimate masterpiece. She was quick in her flight, speeding along the beach and looking this way and that for the stuff, letting out a laugh of glee when she did. There was plenty of it too, though it appeared to be stuck.
"I found some!" She called out, landing down and almost getting herself buried in the stuff as she tried to pull it free of whatever it was it was stuck it. She pulled, and pulled, and then accidenly lost her grip, sending her backwards...
...into a large glass jar.
Why was there a huge glass jar? Well, someone was obviously wanting to get plastered. At any rate, The fairy was quite upset by this, and immediately began to bang on the jar. "Ahh! Yuki! Mandy! Help meeee!"

Yuki had no complaint to Mandy's suggestion, and he offered her a nod in response as she walked off to look around for additions to their soon-to-be sand castle. Or, sand block, or whatever he could manage to form together using only his hands.
At least he assumed that this was supposed to be more about making something stable and practical than making the most awesome and majestic castle of them all. Hopefully Astra wouldn't be disappointed in him for not going to extremes.
With Mandy's return, he looked to the items she'd returned with and curiously plucked up one of the crabs by its shell, watching it wriggle in vain as it tried to claw the air.
"I think the basic construction is good enough, unless you guys want to make some tweaks... Where should we put these guys? They're probably going to make a run for it pretty quick."
And then he was distracted by Astra crying out for help, his gaze following the sound of her voice to see her inside a large jar. What was she doing in a jar? They didn't have enough time left for her to be goofing off.
"You mind going to get her? Yuki said with a chuckle. "I'll put this stuff in place."

Mandy surveyed their castle and found herself agreeing with Yuki, it looked sturdy enough. "Its good enough for me." she paused contemplating her tiny army, "Plonk them in top, hopefully they won't fall off."
It was then she heard Astra's comment about seaweed. "Wait Astra we already have so-" too late. Oh well, more couldn't harm.
...or it could if it ended up with the fairy in a jar. Just... What.
Shrugging she went to help as Yuki finished up.
"Astra, try this. Fly up."

Nodding, as Mandy went to retrieve Astra from the glass trap she'd found herself in, he draped the seaweed over the top of the structure, planted the sand dollar just over the door that Astra had been adamant about including and... Set the crabs opposite of one another above the front wall and hoped for the best of them staying at least roughly in place.

WAVE 1: CRABS, CRABBBBBBBBBBBBS HP 20/20Scuttling right towards the team was an army of oversized crabs, their pincers waving menacingly. They were ready to destroy all things sand and castle related. CRAB DEFENSE MECHANICS: CRAB VERSUS THE CASTLEOdd = Offense Even = Defense THIS CRAB HAS 3 OFFENSE POINTS. (( First of all, don't forget to add the additional status from the Daily status effects to your sandcastle )) - This crab is trying to do 3 damage OFFENSIVE against the sandcastle. That means you have to match your DEFENSIVE damage against this crab's offense. Subtract your castle's defense against this crab's offense points. IF your sandcastle is higher, you take no damage! If it is lower, subtract the HP value from your castle's HP. One person must RP out their sandcastle standing against the crabs or taking damage, and edit the first post sandcastle's HP as necessary (at least, though various reaction posts while battling is fine) CRAB VERSUS THE CONTESTANTS- EVEN IF YOUR CASTLE STOPS THE CRABS, you still need to delegate them away from your castle, so they do not hurt YOU. There is nothing stopping it from hurting YOU. - Roll NORMALLY (no Fear charges), 2d6 -6 if you are a Y1, 2d8 - 6 if you are a Y2 to determine your damage AGAINST THE CRABS. Year 1's have 30 HP, Y2's have 40. - The crab has a sum total of 20 HP. Every time you hit the crab, you take 5 damage. If your TEAM LEADER is KO'ed your group is disqualified! - You can hit the crab as many times as needed until it is dead. If your crab is not dead by the end of the OOC 24 hours/ one round, the crab will berserk and take out half your sandcastle's HP. - To attack the crab, once again, roll your attack, WRITE UP YOUR RP POST, and subtract 5 from your HP every time. Make sure to also post at the bottom of your post Your total HP, the damage you do to the crab, and the crab's total (remaining HP.

Just fly up? Just fly up she was in a jar faeries don't' escape from jars they got eated!
...or apparently shrunk to even more ridiculous sizes, which was what just happened. One moment, Astra was straiting herself after Mandy told her to fly up, and the next, she was grabbing onto the lip of the bottle as everything just got that much more huge. Especially the oncoming wave of crabs.
...crabs?
"..Uh oh..." Astra murmured out loud, crawling out of the bottle and preparing herself to attack the crabs, but was forced to jump back in as they began to pinch her.
"owowowoow!"

The bottle quickly became the fairy's refuge as she backed away from the crabs, trying her hardest to hit the things with her summoned leaves. Their pincers were harsh though, and she yelped when she felt them pinch at her skin. But thankfully their castle seemed to be holding up against the onslaught. In fact, the castle wasn't taking any damage at all.
She just wishes she could say the same about herself.
