Has anyone here ever tried to pick up a certain hobby only to have it sit completely untouched for the rest of all days?
When I was a kid I had this idea that I should be interested in things that other people were interested in. So I started collecting stamps just because I knew it was a thing that people were into. I thought, Okay, you're going to be a stamp collector now! This is when I was maybe about nine. The local craft and hobby store actually sold little packs of used stamps and my mother bought me one or two. I enjoyed looking through them all once or twice... and then never touched them again. xp

I am pretty bad at keeping up with hobbies too. I usually start something and never finish it. Games, books, crocheting, etc. So you're not alone.
I am trying to learn Finnish right now as a hobby, so we will see how long that one lasts >.< I hope that I can finish, learning Finnish. lol

Well, I'm Filipino...and I thought I'd learn Tagalog as a hobby/family request...stuck with it for a week...and since I had nobody to bounce convos off...yeah...dropped it. xd

I keep trying to pick up art, but the moment I try to do it as anything more than a spur-of-the-moment sort of activity, I immediately lose my desire to continue. I can spend hours working on one piece, but if I sit down with the intention to spend five freaking minutes at it, *pfftt* bye-bye desire and inspiration.

humble_gypsy_traveller Well, I'm Filipino...and I thought I'd learn Tagalog as a hobby/family request...stuck with it for a week...and since I had nobody to bounce convos off...yeah...dropped it. xd I've sort of been trying to learn Nepali because it's my fiance's first language... but you're right it's really hard to stick to it without someone to practice with.

For me that hobby is drawing. Writing I have been keeping up with but am kinda lazy about.
