Fūma Kotarō and Tsuruhime…
every day on the morning bus run, the one girl asks for our driver to turn off the heat. she does, and life goes on merrily.
the sub we had today, on the other hand, said that the kids in front might get cold and move on front, since it's one person asking.
she asks every day like this: "Can you turn off the heat, please?"
she did it the same exact way, nicely. the second time, she had irritation in her voice cuz she wasn't acknowledged. our normal driver understands that she speaks for all of us when she does it. yes, she's in the middle of the bus route, but by the time she asks, it's warm enough inside for it to stay warm even when we get off the bus.
the sub said one person's asking when she said no, and the entire back was all wtfh. we spoke on what to do, and i suggested opening the windows. we did that, and we were comfortable. no one complained, even in the front.
we get to school, and the driver turns off the bus and all cuz we sit around in front of the school for about 10 min before we're allowed in. not sure why, so don't ask.
the sub comes to the back of the bus and goes "oh so this is why i was cold!" in this reeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllly bitchy voice. it went downhill from there, and we pointed out that we've never had issues with it before. i even pointed out that little fact i mentioned earlier of turning off the heat in the middle of the run was perfectly fine. she said it was a good argument, but it didn't work, since it's the middle of winter and kids stand outside for who knows how long. FIVE MINUTES MAXIMUM. big whoop. and she said the kids in front were asking for her to turn the heat OFF. then she found out the girl who asks nicely every day was from a certain family (her mom went in and told how we all wanted the heat off and she didn't turn it off) and said "I'm done."
i told a teacher about it, and she said that the sub had the power go to her head. we had a different sub on the afternoon run, thankfully, and we've had her before, and she's move even-tempered. no problems with her, no sirree!
i hope we have our normal driver tomorrow.

so i'm guessing that this is normal
but overall, yes, it is usually cold here in WNY
we have 2 seasons: Construction and Winter, and sometimes they overlap. right now, it's Construction

See now, you get like...intense weather. If it gets that bad, the teachers just give up and send us home. It never gets interesting, just stays within the parametres of regular. Silly ol' England.

oh, it's great at my school. it's a frickin blizzard outside, and we're the only school in WNY that's open. typical. this year, we had a 2 hour delay, which is not normal. we're either open or closed
it's usually hot in summer, hot and dry, unless a storm's coming along. then it's allergy attack, i'm brain dead. ugh
